Warning: Hold on tight for the red hot, adrenaline fueled conclusion to the To the Bone series.
What we have is sacred, a bond forged by pain and pleasure, suffering and passion, and Gabe is right—nothing will tear us apart again. This is forever, for keeps, for the rest of our lives, no matter what the future holds.
We just have to outsmart the powerful people determined to keep us apart.
I’m prepared to fight our enemies, but I’m not prepared for him. For a monster wearing a friendly face, or the nightmare he’s determined to unleash.
They say it’s better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all. I say—over my dead body. They’ll have to pry forever out of my cold, dead hands.
A Love So Deep is the final book in the To the Bone series.
New York Times and USA Today bestselling author, Jessie Evans, gave up a career as an international woman of mystery to write the sexy, contemporary romances she loves to read.
She's married to the man of her dreams, and together they're raising a few adorable, mischievous children in a cottage in the jungle. She grew up in rural Arkansas, spending summers running wild, being chewed by chiggers, and now appreciates her home in a chigger-free part of the world even more.
When she's not writing, Jessie enjoys playing her dulcimer (badly), sewing the worlds ugliest quilts to give to her friends, going for bike rides with her house full of boys, and drifting in and out on the waves, feeling thankful for sun, surf, and lovely people to share them with.
This series isn’t what I expected. Too much of the plot centered on people conspiring to keep Caitlin and Gabe apart. I don’t like when supposedly “dark” stories take a turn into the land of soap operas.
A couple of things saved this series from being a bust for me: 1) The love between Caitlin and Gabe. It was solid, and they didn’t play games. 2) Caitlin, she was one tough chick, and has earned a spot in my Shero hall fame.
I start by saying I am so glad that this book was out...I really needed to see where Caitlin's life ended up with the 'Loss' of Gabe! Yep...I dropped that bomb there! Where is he you say? OHHHHHH, to tell you would be tragic!
Never have I read a book where two people were meant to be together...where two people were so perfect for each other....where so many people worked so hard to keep them apart.
This series reads fast, and I recommend reading the prequel and book 1 first so that you can really grasp the goodness that is Gabe...the emotions that come from the two of them together. I freely admit to wiping a few stray tears away during this read!
Let's just say that miracles do exist. That true love is never forgotten. That sometimes it's ok to be "bad." That sometimes the perfect ending isn't always wrapped up in a big clean bow. Sometimes there really is ONE PERFECT LOVE and nothing can stop it from existing!
Warning: unpopular opinion (but my opinion nonetheless, which is the whole point of Goodreads) mixed with rant and spoilers.
😡
Yes, this story had a bunch of twists and turns, I cant deny that, but sorry, even those were so easy to foresee: the mean rich parents, the ass of a father, the return of the sister, the in love best friend gone stalker crazy. I guessed them all, and It still made no sense whatsoever. It was like a long soap opera that has been on TV for so long that the writers just repeat the same plot over and over again, with over the top unbelievable villians and a H so useless, the h had to do everything on her own. Im all up for women empowering, but I really dont want to go through a book where the so called "alpha male" always folds to other people's threats instead of fighting for what he wants. It annoyed me to no end. He only put his big boy pants until practically the last moments! And there's no real character development! The writer could've done so much to deepen the plot instead of wasting a whole installment in angsty "nothing ever happens" in Hawaii... The growth of the kids, the strenghtning of the h, ANYTHING but a waste of words that could've been covered in two chapters, and thats a stretch. Even the romance itself felt rushed! Ok, yeah, Im prissy and rambling. The only reason I finished it was because I thought some of the good reviews had to rub off on me and I was going to end up changing my mind, but nope. Not at all. I just didnt like it. Its gonna take me quite a while to go back to this author, if ever. And also, a waste of two of my favorites narrators. So promising. So sad 😢
I really enjoyed listening to this whole series. I really love the ending too. I feel like all the loose ends that needed tying up were done in a good way. Sometimes you just love a book and can't explain why. It was everything, the story, the characters, the drama and the narrators. They did an awesome job. All I can say is just listen to the book. I don't think you will be disappointed.
I just love this series!! Read it! Go! Now! What are you waiting for?
Oh my goodness! Where to begin? So much happens in the book its crazy!!
Okay I'm going to spoil it so if you don't want to know what happens then stop reading this review!!
----------SPOILER-----------

Isaac ends up moving in and they start dating. But Caitlin isn't happy and misses Gabe will all her heart.
A year after they move to Hawaii, Caitlin breaks thing off with Isaac. Knowing that she will never love him the way he loves her. Then a few days later Caitlin's dad dies. Her and the kids fly home for the funeral. They arrive at the house and BOOM there's Gabe!!!
LOTS OF SPOILERS:
Gabe has been alive this whole time. When he went to his parents house to tell them he is going to finish out his life with Caitlin, they told him that they have a video that show Caitlin breaking into house and if he doesn't jump on a plan and get the surgery now they will turn it over to the police and Caitlin will go to jail! So he leaves without saying a word to Caitlin. And his parents tell Caitlin he dies.
After the surgery Gabe lost most of his memory from his summer with Caitlin. But it has been a year and things are slowly coming back.
To shortin this up a bit...they get back together! Duh.
Believe it or not, I did leave A LOT out!!! Like tons of stuff!!
Finally!! A Love So Deep is so full of emotion and punched to the feelings. This book starts off where a Love So Dangerous left off, with so many uncertainties and unanswered questions. There is so much going on that my head is spinning! I don't want to ruin anything for anyone, so I will say that all the pieces to the puzzle are put in place and there is finally a conclusion... One I did not see coming! So buckle up and settle in for an exciting ride!
I absolutely loved this series, and I highly recommend it if you're looking for a fast paced, "what the hell is going on?!" read! You won't be disappointed!
What happens when the person you think is lost to you forever is back? What do you do when you realize this person is not quite who you lost? What do you do when you discover that a person you've trusted for years has kept from you the most important truth?
Floored. I was heartbroken at pretty much every part of book two, this one slowly started piecing me back together. Some readers and authors just mesh. Some don't. It's always so personal and individual. Lili/Jessie is an author that just meshes for me. Every word I've read of hers to date (which is at least 75% of her published work) has been a joy to read. From Lonesome Point to Giffney with some oddball locations in between, I am in absolute fangirl love with her books, characters and stories. Gabe and Caitlin are quite possibly my favorite characters to date.
It is hot and steamy without being overly done. The emotions run high, the writing carries you away, and you won't be able to get enough of Gabe and Caitlin either. Told in dual POV with a cliffhanger ending this will definitely suck you in.
I feel like I've been waiting forever for this book. The cliffhanger from This Wicked Rush stayed with me for a long time as did Gabe and Caitlin's story. This book is the perfect ending to their wild story. Jessie has another hit on her hands! I’m not sure it's possible, but Jessie's writing has gotten better. The emotions swirling around these pages were so raw that I was on edge for most of the book. Caitlin gets an offer that she feels is the right choice for her and her family. She moves on with her life and on the outside seems to be happy and content, but on the inside she's still sinking. She has a new life and a new boyfriend but she can't forget Gabe; her one true love who sparked such passion and love within her. Caitlin is forced to return home only to find her past coming back to her in full force. Lies, deception and tragedy have her searching for answers that she never thought she would find. Can Caitlin be the woman that Gabe always knew she could? Can she survive after finding out the truth? Do not miss this conclusion to their story!!
It’s as if my soul is keeping its distance from my skin and bones, realizing it might do damage if it gets too close.
"I don't think life is ever easy," Caitlin says, laying her hand on top of min. "But love can be."
Someone should sculpt this man, immortalize every inch of his beauty in marble for women to drool over for generations to come.
I explode like a firework painting the sky, like a bomb filled with flower petals showering the world with color, happiness, and hope.
Neither of us is perfect or blameless, but sometimes two imperfect people can make one perfect love.
A Love So Deep is the third and final book in the To the Bone Series. It's been a crazy, sexy and wild ride and there is even more of the story!
It has been a year and Caitlin has a new boyfriend, someone she never thought would she would be with but she's living half a life. She just goes through the motions to make her family healthy and happy. When she gets news from home she is forced to go back to the last place she wants to be, there are too many memories there. When the family arrives to their hometown she is shocked to see people she thought she would never see again.
She has to solve huge puzzles and now that she has come across the major piece she is on a mission to complete it. There have been so many lies told in the last year and she doesn't know who she can actually trust. Caitlin feels that rush again and is back to that strong woman that doesn't take any bulls*** from anyone.
Caitlin is one of the if not the strongest heroine I have ever met in a book. She goes through some much and she might crack but never breaks. This series is about finding yourself and when you can find someone that you don't have to hide that from, you have found your perfect love. It is sexy, emotional and a beautiful story. I also love trying to solve the puzzle right along with her....
***NOTE: I read this when it was One Perfect Love By Jessie Evans.
Quotes:

Caitlin isn't a woman you fence in; she's a woman you set free, and run like hell to keep up with.
I feel like I've been waiting forever for this book. The cliffhanger from A Love So Deadly stayed with me for a long time as did Gabe and Caitlin's story. This book is the perfect ending to their wild story. Lili has another hit on her hands! I’m not sure it's possible, but Lili's writing has gotten better. This book (and series) deserves more than 5 stars! **Do not read this review if you haven't read the first two books**
After everything that Caitlin and Gabe have gone through in the first two books, I wanted nothing more than a simple happily ever after for them. But we don't always get what we want.
Gabe is back, but he's lost a lot of his memories and the personality traits that made him "Gabe". While his parents try to act as if nothing has changed and he's the son he always had been, Gabe keeps catching glimpses of memories that just don't add up. As the memories of Caitlin rise to the surface everyone around him denies the relationship that he thinks he remembers.
When Caitlin returns to South Carolina to bury her father she never expects to see Gabe returned from the dead. She has changed and lost so much over the past year and is now faced with the reminder of everything she had with Gabe. While they struggle to put themselves back together, those closest to them will fight to keep them apart.
This final book will hit you hard but delivers the perfect ending for this unconventional couple. I would highly recommend this series.

Finally!!!!!!!! I don't want to give anything away but damn. Just don't read anymore because this could contain spoilers if you have not read the first two books. With that being said.... go read em! This is not a journey you want to miss out on.
Gabe and Catlin... just freaking wow! This book was probably a little more intense than the first and it was great. Probably my most favorite in the series. These two have been through hell and back a few times and their story is awesome. Every up and down and space in between was so worth the angst and emotions I was feeling.
I was feeling very pissed off during parts of this book. So be prepared. I was shocked. I was sad. And I was a whole lot freaking happy too! This was a spectacular end to a great series.
The last book of To The Bone series. It's starts right off where book two did. Gabe still having bad dreams thinking he killed Caitlin and still trying to find her. Caitlin moved to Hawaii but came back to her old home her father died so she's going to the funeral. Will Gabe finally find Caitlin? Will Caitlin be able to keep the family together and sort through all the lies and damage? Will Gabe get his memories back? This book was absolutely perfect ending of this series! I couldn't put it down! Drama, shocking, love and forgiveness! Seriously a must read series! 5/5 stars Reviewed for Sweet & Spicy Reads - ARC provided for a honest review ****
I feel like Gabe and Caitlin finally got their actual love story. Even though their story started in the first book, I feel like this is where their love became real. It all seemed kind of shallow at first. Now I can believe it. This book seemed to be more real. The characters seemed to think more about the things they did and had real reasons for their actions. The ending was my favorite. Not because it was over but because it was perfect for the story.
I can’t wait to read the next book to see where Danny and Samantha get to show their story.
This really was the perfect ending to Caitlin and Gabe's story.
While Caitlin's life takes yet another twist and turn, it shows again how strong a character she is and the amount she can survive even if the odds are not in her favour.
There is lots of suspense, you never know quite who to trust and who is really there as a friend other than Sherry.
You really get wrapped up in the story and I couldn't help turning page after page so see what was going to happen next and to find out how perfectly the characters fit together
Really CAN'T WAIT to read more books by this author.
The 1st book in the series was so awesome, I couldn't wait to read the 2nd. It wasn't quite as good, but I went on to the 3rd. It was hands down the best. Caitlin and Gabe just couldn't seem to get a break. His parents, her dad, her sister, her best friend/temporary boyfriend. Geeze, they got it hard from all directions. There was so much drama in this book, I actually had to put it down and go take a break at least 3 times. This author knows how to write extremely likeable characters. Caitlin and Gabe have turned into one of my favorite book couples. I was rooting for them the entire time. There were times I thought they were older than their years, cause they were so mature in so many ways, but they were only 20. All this crap happened to them in the span of a year, more than most people deal with in a lifetime. This series dealt with death, violence, abandonment, neglect, burglary, theft, and I lived every minute of it. I've read some of her other books, but this is definitely my favorite from her. It ended up being one of my favorite series ever.
Wow! This was such an intense series! It took me on a literal roller coaster of emotions. Thankfully, this book wasn’t quite as gut wrenching as the first two. Not to say I didn’t tear up or that it didn’t have me on the edge of my seat at times. And the last couple chapters were everything! This was a remarkable story of finding the meaning in life and finding and accepting your true self and surrounding yourself with others who accept you for who you are and what you believe. Truly a love story. Not a rainbows and butterflies love story, but a deep and gritty and painful and rewarding story of love. Spectacular!
This was not you regular romcom book from lili. The first book was a cliffhanger so to find out what ended up happening you had to invest in the other two books. It was a fast read and the characters of Caitlin and Gabriel to end up together in spite of so called friends and family is a tough one. gabe's rich plantation living parents make it hard for Caitlin 's and her poor white trash family to end up together but obstacles aside they do. Like I said this was very different than her other books and very entertaining.
I really loved this book and this series. Well worth the listen. The author gives the listener a quality story. Gabe and Caitlin are a modern day "Bonnie and Clyde". The relationship is volatile. Caitlin's dedication to her family and Gabe's dysfunctional one make a great story. The story was awesome and kept me on my toes. It was happy, sad, exciting and scary. The narrators were excellent bringing this story to life. Didn't want it to end.
Caitlin's back in town, but is she ready for what's there to greet her? OMGoodness this final book in the To The Bone series is brilliant! With Gabe's memory loss, he and Caitlin have a fight on their hands as they try to unravel the lies and deceit that will lead to the truth and their hidden enemies. A Love So Deep is thrilling, raw, emotional, heart breaking, and so well written. I loved it and highly recommend it!
A Love So Deep is better than I thought it would be. My happy meter is blaring. My eyes are all cried out and I am no longer at risk of sobbing. I'm just smiling fondly and sighing. I'm going to miss the adventures of the Cooneys. I'm going to miss the misadventures of Caitlin.
This story is exciting and well written. The characters are endearing and the struggles are vivid. I really enjoyed the Robinhood nature of the story and how Caitlyn finds her power with Gabe's help. There was some significant angst in books 2/3, so buckle up. This is book one of 2. You can get the trilogy in a single audiobook with To the Bone, or listen individually. I purchased directly from the Author. The narration by Erin Mallon and Lance Greenfield really delivered and brought these characters to life with the perfect emotions for each moment. I look forward to finishing the trilogy!
This is the 3rd book and conclusion to Gabe and Caitlin's story. Lili Valente did not disappoint, this whole series was great and well written. You can expect an emotional rollercoaster. This love story has a great plot and crazy twists. I thoroughly enjoyed this series, it was different from any other dark romance I've read.
This was the third and last book in the serious... I liked it better than the second but not as much as the first one. Overall, love Lili Valente ...4 Stars. Finishes with Caitlin and Gabe finally running into each other after Caitlin thinking he was dead this whole time... 7 years later.
Finally Caitlin and Gabe get their happy ever after! It was quite a rollercoaster ride to get there though. Even though I abhor cliff hangers, I’m glad I stuck it out with this series.
Oh wow! I just love this trilogy so much and these narrators really made Gabe and Caitlyn come alive! This is an amazing story and the talent of Lili Valente definitely shines through loud and clear! This the final book in the epic love story of Gabe and Caitlyn has been the perfect end to one heck of a ride!! I absolutely loved it!!
