Thorough, thorough, thorough. Honestly, if you wish to verse yourself in the realities and day-to-day life of Black sharecroppers, migrant pickers, or rural Appalachian and southern life in general, this is the book for you. I do think the title can slightly mislead, but otherwise, in what it achieves it is a masterclass.
