A hyper-autobiographical tale based on a true story about a Girl and her dogs, and how she survived the cycle of domestic violence and escaped an island by choosing to surround herself with love, friends, baseball and humor.
I was born in Tennessee. After two years at Louisiana State University, I transferred to school in Boston and majored in Marketing. Before getting a “grown-up job” I spent the summer in small town Texas where I wrote her first novel. "I always said I wanted to write, but I thought it was another one of my random ideas like acting classes or marathon training. My best friend once said to me, 'Kim, I'm a romantic, but you’re a hopeless romantic.' It's extremities like these that inspired me to write the crazy thoughts in my head. My mind is an emotional time bomb! You could say that it just went off one day. Seriously, one night I opened my laptop and a story just poured out. I couldn't stop writing!” After my books’ completion, I moved back to Memphis and went to grad school. I recently married my best friend and love of my life and live in Texas with my dogs Boston and Belle...and my husband!
