Once upon a time, not that long ago, I had just about everything I ever wanted. I was a star football player at one of the best colleges in the country, and I had the girl I d always loved by my side. The promise of a future most guys can only dream about was close enough to touch. But if there s anything I ve learned, it s that life is unpredictable. One twist can change it all, and suddenly, I m alone. Even football, the one constant in all the insanity, somehow isn t enough anymore, because without her, everything else is empty. Meaningless. I ve got one shot left. One more chance to win her heart. We re not kids now, and I know that being good enough for Quinn isn t some game I can fake my way through. She s more than the prize; she s my reason for living. The world only makes sense when we re together. And this time, I m going to do whatever it takes to give us our happy ending."

I laughed and cried as I read this story, as trite of a start that is, its true. I absolutely loved Leo, how could you not? He was such a good guy and obviously loved Quinn beyond belief. I loved Quinn too, I didn’t love some of her decisions but I never doubted her heart was in the right place. Nate on the other hand drove me nuts, dying or not what he did to Quinn (and Leo), what he asked of her was totally manipulative and it was not the only time he manipulated things between Quinn and Leo to go the way he selfishly wanted them to. Even though at the end he tried to set it right, it felt sort of like too little to late. It made it very hard for me to like him. Overall I really enjoyed the book, I especially loved the last third of the book. I would love an update on Quinn and Leo’s life.
Such a good series. Can I choose a team yet? I'm not sure, but I'm definitely leaning towards Team #Leo because he has always been steadfast. This book 3 is going to break your heart all over the place, but the author does not leave you broken hearted. She mends you. Even though it's been awhile since I read the first two in the series, it all came back to me quickly. I still don't think Nate is a bad guy, selfish maybe? Yeah, maybe. But he got his wish. And Quinn grew up. I stayed up to read the end of the story, I didn't want to wake up and cry... I wanted to dream about these characters.
This series broke me like Leo I didnt see a happy ending for them . I was frustrated that quinn made the decisions . I think Tawdra did amazing job with this series. I hope to finish the next book series this weekend .
A perfect ending to such a beautifully written story of love, loss and friendship. It brought me to tears quite a bit. Some laughs and definitely some good cheer. I was very happy to see how the trio story ended.
I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
This series needs to be read in order. For you to fully appreciate the heartache and drama that exists in this trio, you absolutely need to start at book 1. That being said, all the hard stuff makes this ending even more satisfying.
We join this book where we left Quinn, Nate, and Leo. Quinn and Nate are married. Nate is still dying. When I picked up book 1 I immediately braced myself for the heartbreak of his death. Now, at the end of the series, I was desperate for some sort of miracle to happen. I don't think I'm actually spoiling anything by saying that this book keeps the "realness" going by taking you through the familiar and traumatic loss of a loved one with painstaking detail. If you've ever lost someone, this book will remind you of going through that all over, except through the remaining members of the trio.
After Quinn married Nate, I thought I would never forgive her. I thought I wanted her and Leo to stay apart forever as punishment. I know that this is ultimately a romance and there needs to be some semblance of a happy ending for us to make the bad times worth it. Still, it was hard for me to forgive Quinn (and Nate). While I'm still not sure I ended up forgiving Nate, the book really showed me a lot of growth in these characters. After all, we joined them in their youth and they are now pretty much grown-ups. Did this book make me cry? Oh, god, yes! There was a lot of ugly crying happening here. Even with being put through this emotional rollercoaster that is the Keeping Score trilogy, I really enjoyed where we ultimately ended up.
This is the end of the trilogy. We've been on a wild ride with "The Trio". I can honestly say that...I still hate Nate...I am still supremely annoyed with Quinn...I absolutely still LOVE Leo!!
Leo knows he has to move on and get over Quinn. She's married to Nate now and has closed the door on the thought of "us". Why oh why Quinn?!? Nate is beyond selfish and Quinn is beyond catering to his needs over her own. She's always put Nate ahead of Leo and that won't be changing.
Nate does try and redeem himself to a small degree, but at this point - I'm too angry with him to cut him any slack. Quinn's sacrifice is noble for sure. But I'm a Leo girl at heart, so that's who I'm going to root for. Leo sees that he will have one more shot to make this work and he's got to make sure all his moves are perfect.
This is definitely a tear-jerker series. Again - it's a testament to Tawdra's writing that I can care so much about these characters while wanting to throw my Kindle.
Leo is definitely swoon worthy and while he was annoying in Book 1 and made some key mistakes, he is absolutely wonderful in Book 3. He may be one of my favorite book boyfriends of all time and he's a hot football player to boot.
This is definitely a series worth checking out - just have a box of Kleenex near by. The long-standing relationships are well drawn out and the secondary characters will make for many books to come!
Ok readers go get the final book in this series! You can get the first one free if you have not read this series, (bad readers go now and get them). The final story will have your emotions all over the place but just breathe and keep reading it’s worth it! Their story began in friendship, simple and sweet, before the years brought tragedy, loss and betrayal. Quinn's been caught in a perpetual game of tug of war between Leo, the only man she can ever love, and Nate, the friend who needs her the most. But now, all of that is coming to an end. Quinn and Nate are on a journey that will inevitably end in heartbreak. Meanwhile, Leo can only watch from afar, wrecked and helpless.
I love, love, loved this book. The words come to life and all emotions come forward in the final novel in the trilogy. I could not put the book down. Leo is my new book boyfriend. My heart was taken with Sam in The Last One by Tawdra Kandle. It is now my old favorite. This trilogy was about deep friendship that lasts a lifetime for one of the main characters. This can be read over and over, like visiting an old friend. The author bar has been set high, I'm sure it will be hard to replace Leo as my book boyfriend, but you can try. LoL. After this trilogy go start The One trilogy by the same author! You will love it! First book is free in Kindle.
Unpopular opinion: the second book completely lost me to the point nothing that happened in the third book could redeem it. I think Nate and Quinn deserved each other because they’re both selfish people and horrible friends. I don’t ever see Leo being able to take her back. The only stars are for Leo. He’s an idiot, but damn he loves that girl.
Started reading this at about 7pm. By midnight I was at 54%.
I tried to read another book, but I NEEDED to see where their story went.
Part one had me in tears. I wanted Quinn to be free, but I didn't want Nate gone. Double edge sword is it?
Part 2 of the book was a happy steady. No hurt, anger, deciept. Just a love building and you know what, after the rest of the series (so far) it was darn nice to have it. Just to watch blossoming.
After Nate's funeral, Quinn heads to the west coast to help ghost write a novel for a couple who have been through the same thing as Quinn, with their son. Not the marriage, he wasn't lucky enough to make it that far. But the disease itself.
It allows Quinn to grow, to find herself.
Leo is standing back on the sidelines, still unable to break the promise he made Nate and not even batting an eyelid at any female with a pulse.
It took me less than 48 hours to read the book.
Addicted. And I have no shame in staying up until 2am to complete it.
I've always said I needed an American football player or baseball player. Here in the UK, it's a slim possibility, but I do ♥ the books around these sports.
I wasn't going to read "Days' because I felt betrayed by the previous book, Hanging By A Moment! I finally decided to read book 3 and I was thrilled. Tawra Kandle is a excellent storyteller and it's her series, She can plot them anyway she wants. Days of You and Me was very compelling. It addressed the choices in book 2 and tried to work through the issues. I realize that Quinn had always been an enabler for Nate. However, what she did was just plain wrong. After reading book 3, I came to realize that the story played out satisfactorily. It is a moving story of love and loss, betrayal and reconciliation. Ultimately, love triumphs against overwhelming odds. It finishes well!
This was a great conclusion to the story of childhood sweethearts Leo and Quinn! This story gives you hope that when couples are truly meant to be together and they put forth effort and perseverance, nothing will stop them from getting their happily ever after! This story will make you cry both happy and sad tears, but in the end you will be content with what the future holds for this couple! They’ve been through hell and back and they deserve every little piece of happiness they can get! Don’t pass up this series! I promise you won’t regret it!
I actually began reading this series a few years ago. I read the first two books but somehow never finished book three until now (Dec 2022). Let me tell you that this one will tear your heart out. If I remember correctly books one and two end on cliffhangers. This story wraps up the trilogy very nicely but I recommend having tissues handy.
Leo and Quinn have been through so much that I was happy for them to finally get their HEA, even though it was a little bittersweet in places. Tawdra Kandle has written an amazing series. I hope to read the other books in this series that will feature some of Leo and Quinn’s friends from the first three books.
I loved this book and the series! I haven't cried this much over a book in a long time. Though it did hit extremely close to home several times. I have to hand it to Tawdra, she knows how to write grief. Knowing personally what Nate's parents go through during this whole series, I know their pain. Knowing also what it's like to wake up to a frantic phone about your best friend (luckily mine has a happier ending), she hit that one on the head, also. Just when you think you can put those tissues away, you need them again!
This will tear your heart out but slowly mend it back together again. There is a lot of heartache in this part of Quinn, Leo, and Nate’s story but there’s more about finding your inner strength, hope, and eventually joy. It’s been quite a journey but well worth the trip in this truly captivating tale that deserves to be read from the very beginning until this final end. The love these characters feel for each other literally jumps off the pages and will keep you thoroughly engaged from start to finish. This is a trilogy and a love story that you will cherish even beyond the end.
Each book was sweet and heart-wrenching and perfect. I'll never forget these characters. This is definitely a series that will constantly be re-read. Thank you Tawdra!
OMG...all three of these books in the series had me.. Can love be this deep? I read, I smiled then I cried and Cried. I didn't want this series to end. Just when I think ive found a book that blows the last one out the park, I stumble across another one that gets my own thoughts in motion about life choices and decisions. This series is a must read I don't review on the stories themselves just how they made me feel so sorry...but please just pick these up. Find a quiet space and get lost within them. Twadra well done. so sensitively written too.
Final book in the series and I think it took longer to get through because I remembered that it was a HEA and there was no anticipation. although I couldn't remember the details if that makes sense.
More than likely why it took me so long to finish. That being said I'm so glad that I love that I still have these tucked away in my kindle archive because I can't find them to rebuy them and that would have been the worst!... Full review on Blog
This book is the 3rd in the Keeping Score Trilogy. I have been looking forward to this book and couldn’t wait to get my hands on it. This book picks up where the last one lets off. If you’ve read the series you know it’s about 3 lifelong friends: Nate, Quinn and Leo. Unfortunately they are also their own love triangle as both boys are in love with Quinn. This book wraps up the story beautifully. I didn’t want the story to end but yet couldn’t put it down either. Books 1 and 2 were left with cliffhangers that left you with your mouth wide open in shock. The 3rd book ties everything up so beautifully and it’s exactly what the fans wanted. That is true at least for this fan! I received an ARC of this book in exchange for a fair and honest review. All opinions in this review are 100% my own.
Wow this book ended perfectly and it took both of them to sit back and think what they want and who they are to make it last..not only did they do it together but they allowed their friends to help them find their way
This was a beautiful ending to an amazing trilogy. I literally counted the days until the next book in the trilogy came out, and then I would devour it in a day or 2. Tawdra knows what emotional buttons to push to draw you in. If you read no other book in the trilogy, you MUST read this one (thought I highly recommend all 3). For those who don't read Tawdra's books, she believes in happy endings, but it won't be all roses and chocolate to get there. Be sure to grab your tissue before you start.
This book is about 3 best friends who have known each other since conception basically. They were inseparable until later in life. This book wraps up their friendship and their story perfectly. I wanted to throw my book across the room and stomp on it a few times while reading, but I didn't. I knew the ending would be magical, but man I wanted to strangle a character or 2. I got lost in this book, and felt like I was part of the gang. That's how Tawdra's books make you feel. I don't know how she does it but I am sure glad she does. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this book to everyone! Happy reading.
I love Tawdra's Trilogies. The Keeping Score Trilogy is my new favorite. She wrote this a little differently than her others but I must say a job well done. This book had me laughing, crying. angry, crying, swooning and crying some more. I absolutely loved that Leo and Quinn were starting to have their time and it was bittersweet for me. I couldn't wait to finish and know what happened but I also didn't want it to end. I had a book hangover and wanted more. Thank goodness I know Tawdra's books and I had to message her to find out if we will revisit them in another series. If you are like me and these characters have become part of you then you will be glad to know that we will see them again. Looking forward to the next series.
This third book in the Keeping Score trilogy is a truly perfect ending to an amazing series. It takes you through every emotion known to man (and woman). It makes you laugh, makes you cry, and makes your heart explode with the range of emotions going through it. I loved everything about this series. It's a different kind of love story and it revolves around sports which makes it fresh and different. I'm not a big reader of straight romance, and that is not what these books are. I would read them over and over again and I highly recommend them to everyone who asks...and doesn't ask for that matter.
A copy of this book was provided for free in exchange for my honest opinion. No other compensation was given.
Hard to say anything about this last book without giving too many things away , i would say get the tissues ready there will be tears . There is no words to describe the emotional wringer this book will put you through , on the one hand you want to admire Quinn but then again you feel like shaking her for getting herself into the position shes in & causing so much pain & worry . Leo concentrates mostly on his football but tragedy & loss stalk him & his friends . Nate doesn't come out of this well but i think he redeems himself by making amends & healing old jealousies , all 3 of them remember the trio they used to be before life & love got in the way . One of the best series i've read for a while & all because i got the first book free .
Great trilogy!! I'm said to be done reading it. Leo Taylor is the best fictional boyfriend and he'll steal your heart. I was a little disappointed in the selfish way the character of Nate developed into. Here's this great story of this resilient friendship that has grown with them all their lives and then I could see it from a mile away what Nate's request was going to be of Quinn. He couldn't get the girl on his own so he forced her into a corner. (Or maybe I was just cheering for Leo and Quinn to have their happily ever after all along). I felt the writing brought me into the story and my emotions soured and plummeted with the emotions of the characters. That's when I know I've found an author to stick with and read more of.
There is so many things running thru my head . Well what do I say about this book. Wonderful , romantic, sad. I could go on and on. You know how you pick up a book. Start to read it and go. Nope not going to happen. You put it back and pick another. Well this book is one I couldn't put down. It's the 3rd in this series. I absolutely loved it. I couldn't put it down. I was drawn to the characters. I didn't want it to end. The day it came out I got it and read it. Now I sit here feeling let down. I have read it. Twandra is an amazing author so I know ill have other books to keep me going.
