When a masked group claiming to be warrior angels kidnaps Gia Rossi, she believes it's retaliation for her wealthy husband's shady dealings. Squired into a high-tech underground world by her strangely gentle captors and placed under the tutelage of Joachim, their handsome leader, she soon learns that among her lost childhood treasures is a medallion, which places the fate of the world in her hands. Gia's job is simple: locate the relic and lead the angels to it...and somehow, fight the forbidden attraction that fast develops between her and Joachim. As commander of the angelic warriors, Joachim must protect Gia and, with her help, locate the sacred relics needed to conquer the demon Therides. But Joachim doesn't count on falling prey to sexual attraction when it comes to their beautiful, headstrong captive and soon another battle commences, one between consuming desire for his charge and a weighty sense of celestial duty. For if Joachim and Gia succumb to the fire smoldering between them, it could prove to be the end of both their worlds. Yet danger makes forbidden passion all the sweeter...

At the age of ten, Shelby Reed wrote her first romance with Prince Charming — literally! — as the hero, and it's been non-stop story spinning ever since.

Despite the idealistic place from which she embarked, she's partial to writing realistic, flawed, multi-faceted characters, lush emotion, and the ever-possible happy ending.

When not pecking away at the computer keyboard, Shelby enjoys creative projects such as portraiture and decorating, and lives a bucolic life with her own Prince Charming in North Florida.

Yet another beautiful story woven by Shelby Reed. Everything about this book was freshly original and well thought out. Gia was a strong heroine with a devastating past that left me choked up. And Joachim...whew - what a mega hot hero. Shelby Reed is officially being held accountable for my infatuation with men with French accents. She writes his speech so well, I could feel it caressing me. So well done! There's action, love, steamy sex, beautiful description and an overall story you'll roll through your mind for years to come. Read this book - you will NOT be disappointed.

You have got to read this! This is such a wonderful book. It is written so well, it was like I was right there with the heroine, experiencing all of her emotions and frustration right there along with her. And then the ending was so sweet just whenever you thought it was over and there was no hope for a happy ending it was awesome. I cried people, cried! It was that good.

Wonderful, passionate story involving angels and demons. A remarkable romance between a human and an angel. The human is the heroine who finds out she hold the fate of the world in her hands and the hero is an angel who has never been human until now. The reader is totally involved with both characters and the secondary characters are great and vital to the story. A must read!

When you pick up a novel by Shelby Reed, you're going to get action, tension, deeply emotional love scenes, and a unique plot. Seraphim contains lots of the above, along with terrific writing skills.

Gia Rossi thought she was living the perfect life, or as close to one as she ever had been, with a nice home and a husband who loves her. He always played Henry Higgins to her Eliza Doolittle. Lately, though, his touch is colder, his absences from home more often, and he's suddenly gained a strange, kinky sexual appetite. Then she finds out he's demon-possessed by a nephil, Therides, who had joined Lucifer's army after his fall from Heaven. After a band of angels kidnap Gia to save her life, they tell her she's on her husband's list of people to assassinate when she's no longer of worth.

Joachim, a seraphic operative fighting in the archangel Michael's army, has been assigned to protect and guide Gia, who possesses a medallion that will lead them to the Spear of Longinus—the spear that pierced Christ's side to make sure He was truly dead before they took Him down from the cross. The spear can be used for great good in the right hands, or great evil if it lands in the wrong hands. Adolph Hitler possessed it once, and Therides has plans to sell it to a certain terrorist mastermind who remains elusive. Joachim can't let that happen, or the world as we know it will be destroyed.

Seraphim are pure of heart and mind and mustn't let their fallible human form take control. Gia and Joachim are painfully aware of this as they wage an emotional and physical battle, fighting their attraction to each other and trying desperately not to fall in love—because when the mission is over, Joachim will return to Heaven for his next assignment, and if they cross paths again, Joachim won't know Gia.

The sexual tension in Seraphim is so high that when someone interrupted me with a knock at their door, I was ready to choke the living daylights out of whoever was standing on the other side. Love scenes are explicit but deeply emotional and moving, which makes Seraphim a highly satisfying romance. Shelby Reed is a truly terrific storyteller, and I can't get enough of her work. Trust me, romance fans won’t want to pass this author up.

I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed this book considering the premise of the story. It was angels versus demons in this action-packed fantasy, the fate of the world in the hands of a woman who falls in love with a man she can't have, her protector. Shelby Reed writes of forbidden love unlike anyone else I have read to date. When Joachim and Gia wept for each other, I too was in tears. Seraphim wasn't just another erotic romance, it was an incredibly sensuous read... couldn't put it down.

I absolutely loved this book I could not put it down. Joachim and Gia's journey to a happily ever after is one of the most emotionally sensual stories I've ever read. This book is about a love that is other worldly, that spans eternity. Shelby Reed writes compelling and moving books that are filled with sensuality and beautifully written, passionate love scenes. I highly, highly recommend this book.

Another great read by Shelby Reed. With lots of romance, sexy and hot scenes and a LOT of action, this romance was just amazing. Very different from her other romance, The Fifth Favor, this one was a little lighter, though it had its dose of angst and heart twisting scenes and dialogues. Totally recommend it.

It took me awhile to get into this book, the story at times dragged but towards the middle it started to pick up~~ the attraction between Gia n Joachim... the lust. ..the danger...falling in love unexpectedly... knowing it was forebidden. .the story itself was creative. the ending was well.... Heavenly :-)
