A good mix of stories and articles from jack The Ripper to the power of music to the power of scents. My favorites were The Rest is Noise by Nicolas Kaufman, The Dirty American by Lara Elena Donnelly and the Artist Showcase on Marina J Lostetter

Nightmare Magazine issue #47 (August, 2016). You can read the stories online here https://www.nightmare-magazine.com/fi...

I only read Lara Elena Donnelly’s short story The Dirty American (originally published in Awkward Robots Anthology: The Orange Volume, 2015) because I’m currently devouring her Amberlough trilogy (and it’s exceptional!) and now I'm curious to see her other offerings.

Wow. I was not disappointed. The world of perfume and endless ambition. I loved it!

Themes: dark fantasy, horror, perfume, Bright House.

Lara Elena Donnelly's short story was simply amazing. The style, the elegance of it was wonderful. I love this author! (especially since she's coming out with a book?? Holy Shit.)

The short story "The Dirty American" by Lara Elena Donnelly was recommended as an excellent example of decadent horror, and it does not disappoint.

The narrator describes the perfume industry in terms that leave you with the impression an assassins guild would be a safer career! Amazing descriptions of ambition, power plays, and an entire empire of decadence built on something as ephemeral as a passing scent.
