What's the perfect career choice for a skinchanger? Espionage! At least that's how freelance spy Rick Torin employs his talents, and he's pretty damn good at it. Then what's supposed to be a routine job of infiltrating a mercenary outfit's corporate headquarters to steal some information turns unexpectedly deadly, and Rick's got trouble on his hands. Some of the information he uncovers hints at nefarious plans that could see thousands dead, and the trail leads to the most dangerous people imaginable: Wizards.

This was a great opening to what promises to be a highly entertaining UF novella series that looks set to deliver action and humour aplenty, along with some intriguing magical shenanigans. Definitely going to check out the next part!

It was indeed a short read, but nevertheless, a worthwhile exciting one. It could have been better, if the narrative was made longer, considering it has a considerable amount of potential for avid readers of fantasy genre. Likewise, it was nice, the author made the narrative in a first person perspective of Rick Torin, as if, I was in his shoes. Potential as it may be, if the author plans to release a paperback version of the story, as well as, more books into this Focus series plotline; rest assured, I would be happy to purchase them for my book collection and would be considered a fan of your books.

Form shifting man uses his abilities to be one of the best spies in the world.

Premise was unique, writing is wonderful and well edited. They story was short yet concise - it kept my attention with the depth of detail described. The description about his shifting was interesting to read.

I did find that this book was more descriptive than it was about the plot, but it flowed nicely and I will get the next book to continue following the story.

Great read.

I took a chance and choose this novella to read. Not my normal book by cover or synapses. I was quickly surprised by how I got into it. Before I realized it, I was several chapters into it. I am pleased by the choice. Will look forward to next book.
