These things happen. S&S will not be publishing KICK BACK. Ever. I hope that Putnam will publish KICK BACK one day.

I have been waiting for years to read this book. Now I see it postponed to maybe 2030! Really? Is there any way I can get access to the manuscript? % more years is too long to wait. I am re reading One Kick again.

4.5⭐️ Chelsea Cain is one of my favorite authors, I enjoyed reading this book as her previous work. The engaging writing style, the building suspense and thriller makes it easy to read.

April 6, 2025Seems a bit irresponsible as an author to put all your readers into waiting purgatory. Since going with her editor to Putnam she's put out nothing but comics. I'm glad if she's enjoying the new publisher and material but we've been waiting like a decade for another book. I think we are collectively giving up hope at this point. It's frustrating and sad. Like okay, maybe she didn't want to do novels anymore....but she said she was already pretty much done with this. She couldn't have just kept pushing to get Putnam to release it? Or heck, even a kickstarter or something!

I was a book worm my whole life.
Then had a brain injury. I didn’t have a way of staying focused long enough to read. I found this book in my garage. Read it in about 4 days. Just finished it on the 4th anniversary of my Brain Injury 🥰. Reading a book has been my goal since it happened.
