I live in British Columbia, Canada; I have all my life. I went to culinary school and studied Pastry Arts, working as a Pastry Chef in Vancouver for five years. But the commute into the city got to me and I had to change careers back to an office. I still work full time; I now work for a sporting goods wholesaler in accounting…which is where my twitchy creative side began to get restless…and as my Baba used to say, “Idle hands are the Devils playthings.” Or in my case, idle hands get me into all sorts of trouble; so I go a little bananas on the hobby side of things. I still love to cook and bake, I do a large amount of recipe creating and the boys at work certainly appreciate being sacrificed as taste testers. I am also a stress knitter, to the point that I had to open my own Etsy shop to unload some of the scarves I make. Realistically there’re only so many scarves a gal can make and keep for herself before people start to judge you…. I also paint when the muse hits me, mostly abstract in acrylics. I love to garden and grow things, have a weakness for all animals, and an un-natural obsession for making jam. I literally made 24 different kinds of jam last summer, it’s a bit of a problem….but there’s just so many different kinds you can create! Who am I to say no to see what Tiger’s Blood jam would taste like? (it’s strawberry, watermelon and coconut by the way….and it was AMAZEBALLS.) I’ve always had a love of reading, science fiction and paranormal genres have always fascinated me, so once I found myself addicted to romance novels it really only made sense that the sci fi romance genre drew me like a moth to a flame. I only started writing about a year ago, it took me a long time to get Sarah’s Crew to the point where I would let someone else read what I was writing, let alone send it into a publisher. But eventually I did and after one fairly nice rejection I moved on and found Siren. I’ve been so impressed at how supportive and helpful all the other Siren authors have been through this entire process, I’m a little on the shy side so the social media and marketing part of the writing process has been intimidating to say the least. My goal is to keep working on my writing skills and to hopefully improve with each book, and I hope that anyone who reads them enjoys the world that I’m trying to create!

4.5 *! Loved this one from Sarah Marsh. Eitan & Sofia have great chemistry. With a great mix of suspense & action, and some steamy scenes, it's the perfect combo! I had to take half a star off because I wanted a little more of the story, but for a short read it ROCKED!
What can I say? The world needs more killers for hire like Eitan Kent. It would certainly be rid of some seriously awful people, that, and be full of some hot hunks who knew how to lead in the bedroom.
Eitan is an ex-CIA operative who's sister went missing from her dorm room, when the CIA didn't pursue her case in conjunction with a human trafficking ring in the area, he left his job and started looking for himself. And while he didn't find her, he rescued another woman. Who now had a home that he'd bought and took in other rescues to care for them. Now Eitan takes private contracts to find criminals who are trying to hide from the government.
He gets a lead on a murdering sociopath, an information broker. He just happens to be the same man that romance writer Sofia writer invited to dinner that night. Sofia had finally bumped into her neighbor across the hall after he'd been there 6 months. He helped her to the car with her boxes she was taking to storage. So, after her mother had given her grief for the umpteenth time about finding a man, she invites him to dinner. When he's late, she goes to his apartment. She doesn't find her neighbor Carl. Instead, she finds Eitan. He's going to find out where Ben Donovan is, through any means necessary.
Whew! This is such a hot book! I for one wouldn't mind being tied up and interrogated by Eitan AT. All.
I asked Sarah where she came up with the idea for this story, this was her answer:
Sarah:"Well. this one started out as an antho call for Evernight's Dark Captive anthology, that's why it's on the shorter side. Not quite dark enough for the antho, but I thought they had a good story. Eitan's character is a bit darker than my previous heroes, but once I started writing him I found him rather captivating.
Knotty Reviewer: I Love him! Where did you come up with his name?
Sarah: (laughs), I had a co-worker name her son that about 8 yrs ago and I loved it, so it went on my 'baby name' list....and since I don't have any kids as of yet, I rob a lot of my character names from the list! This is most definitely going in my "Books to re-read" pile. I positively fell in love with Eitan. I got a huge kick out of the way he taunted the bad dude in the beginning of the book. This is a panty melting 5 Orgasm book

I think what kind of surprised me about this book by Ms. Sarah Marsh was really the length even though I knew it was a novella but really it was the content. I liked how the book started out innocently but changed with throwing in the kidnapping of the heroine heightening the suspense creating mystery and the added undertones of BDSM interlaced in the story giving it an edgier feel. The story reads nicely very steadily and would be a good beach read or while waiting in line. In fact even though I read pretty slow I was able to read this book quickly and twice taking up about 2 and a half days for me which is uncommon for me to even read a book in a day. Shy bookish Sofia Boon has secretly been crushing on her next door neighbor Carl Roberts. When Sofia finally gets the nerve to ask Carl to dinner he doesn’t show up Sofia decides to bring dinner to his place. When Sofia gets there she meets a stranger Eitan Kent who she thinks is Carl’s roommate or is he. For some reason I could easily see Sofia in my head but struggled with Eitan’s physical descriptions well besides his body and cock but in actuality I really don’t know what he looked like. I think Eitan was pretty scary too. I really felt very apprehensive to even like him at all I did like Sofia though. Also since the book is quite short the story moved a little too quickly especially the romance between Sofia and Eitan. I think considering the situation from the Stockholm syndrome to insta-love between captor/victim was just fast also. I wanted a little bit more then Sofia and Eitan lusting after each other then boom end up in bed together. I did want a little bit of Eitan, Sofia’s past history and some of the other side characters too. I still thought the story was okay it just needed more and to be a bit longer.
If you need a quick, dark story, this is the one for you. Sarah Marsh writes a dark sexy read with Sofia and Eitan. Sofia doesn't realize that her neighbor is killer and before she knows it, she is caught up in a deadly game. Eitan was sent to get something from Sofia and soon realizes that she has no clue what is going on. When Sofia is targeted, Eitan comes to her rescue and......well, I won't say anymore. This is an awesome book and I can't wait for the next one!!
I love the build up with Donovan and the “situation” they are in makes for one edge of your seat kind of story. The romance is hot. The plot is fabulous. I have to give Dark Remdemption by Sarah Marsh five stars!
Sofia finally decides to clean out some of the clutter in her apartment and ends up with a dozen boxes that she decides to take to storage. As she is in the process of trying to move all the boxes to the elevator to take down to her vehicle, she meets up with Carl, one of her neighbors. He offers to help her finish getting the boxes in the elevator and loaded into her vehicle. When they are finished, she invites him to dinner that night as a thank you. When Carl doesn't show up at the appointed time, Sofia decides to knock on his door to see if he is just running late or if something came up. When the door opens, it isn't Carl that is standing there. Sofia thinks it is Carl's roommate, even though she never knew he had one, and he goes along with it and says Carl is in the shower and offers her a glass of wine. After a few sips, Sofia realizes that she has been drugged and he isn't who she thought. Turns out the man that opened the door for her is Eitan, a CIA operative, and he is searching for something Carl supposedly had, but Carl is now MIA. Eitan takes Sofia to a safe house and plans to hold her captive and torture the information out of her. But of course, she knows nothing of what he is talking about and he begins to believe in her innocence. This is where things turn more romance based. The story was good, but I just feel like it was missing pieces. The book moved from captor/captive into lovers pretty quickly. I feel like there should have been more of the teasing/torturing/learning each other before they declared love for each other. Sofia went from being held against her will to willing lover in the blink of an eye. I would have liked to see more resistance in the beginning of her captivity. Seen him try to convert her to his side more. Overall, it was a good story. 3 stars that could have easily been 5 stars with a little more detail.

Dark Redemption is a quick, erotic read with lots of sensual love scenes.
Eitan is a tough guy with a painful past and that's one of the reasons I was drawn to his character. Learning about what happened and the guilt he felt softened his tough guy exterior. With Sofia, I liked how she was this unlucky in love gal, who suddenly finds herself locked in a perilous situation with Eitan as her protector.
The book is a quick read and that was my main critique with it. I felt like there was so much crammed into this tiny story, the plot would've been more suited for a full-length book instead of a short story. I would've liked to see more romantic development build up between Eitan and Sofia, along with the glimpses into his past and the climax towards the end.
Wow this was a very good book. I loved every chapter of it. I loved how Sofia was more than what she seemed. Who knows what can happen when you meet the right person.
