Ooooooo! An absolute great continuation in this series! It definitely felt more action pack and intense then volume one!
Though I think my favorite part was a forbidden romance and hoping we will see something with that in the upcoming final volume. It seems very sweet!
Olivia is a very cool MC! She is an excellent female pirate to cheer for and absolutely love how she can fight without using “womanly charms.” We do see a little bit of her softer side in this one, and because of this, it makes Olivia even cooler to see she can still be feminine but also kick butt. Yeah!
I loved the bonus ship guide we got at that end! That was really cool and fun to read!
There was a little more blood in this one, but definitely nothing over PG-13. The increasing talk of magic was exciting!

A pirate port party
While the artwork is not the greatest for the characters at all times (but oh man...look at those ships and buildings) and the book looks like one of the first attempts to bring manga to an electronic format like Kindle (the pages move from left to right but the manga is read left to right and huge two page spreads were often to small to read anything on them since it was zooming on the whole page and not the individual parts) but the quick paced plot driven like race against the clock to discover an dangerous artifact before one of the newer and far more reckless generation of pirates can get it still has chances to how emotional connections and the importance of following your own codes. Now that said sometimes I have to throw disbelief to the wind due to quick changes of hearts and how fast certain characters bond to others but ah well that is the way it is. :)
With Captain Mulgrew leaving the captain of Destiny's Hand mortally wounded in the first volume he is not lacking in information when it comes to the treasure map pieces sought by the Destiny's Hand crew. A little bit comes from actions his own father took in the past and somehow his crew has been finding messages inside bottles from someone on the Destiny's Hand feeding them the info he needs to not only cause a little trouble but get a little side hustle too. With all the pieces gathered by the end of this volume there is but one more thing to do before the island can be discovered but tragedy strikes as we find ourselves sailing on into the third volume.

Well, I've officially finished Destiny's Hand Volume 2! This volume picks up shortly after the events of volume 1 and mostly focuses on Olivia's journey to obtain 3 other map pieces to lead the crew to a dangerous artifact known as The Devil's Eye.
This chapter takes the crew to a few different locations, only one of which is new to the story. They also have a couple run-ins with Captain Mulgrew as there appears to be a traitor among the ranks of The Destiny's Hand, who it is isn't revealed this volume, however.
I found this volume to be just as enjoyable as the first volume and would gladly recommend giving it a read if you enjoy pirate based fiction.

The artwork was decent but the story is just kind of average of the characters for the most part or just average I’ve read stories like this with characters like this done a lot better with better characters all in all I’m just trying to finish up the

A great second book. Thoroughly enjoying the twists and turns of piracy. At the same time, knowing there's one more book in series, I'm curious how the writers will finish it in only one book.

Destiny’s Hand is a really good American manga series. The plot is original consisting of pirates and a female pirate. The drawing is beyond compare, it is really fun to look at. And the dialogue is as if an actual person would say it.
I really like the story of Destiny’s Hand. The story follows 16 year old Olivia Soldana as she is a member of the pirate ship Destiny’s Hand. With her captain Sebastian Blaine and other crew members, they are on a race against time to find the legendary treasure, the Devils Eye. Before pirates like Lars Mulgrew. This is captivating itself. With this you know there has to be a lot of sword fighting.
The drawing of Destiny’s Hand is really cool. It is done so life like that you could believe that someone really exists like that. The weaponry is done really unique. The guns and swords are done solely for this manga.
The characters speak as if it was real life. The characters use puns and are really sly and sarcastic. The character Diego is a hothead. He is always yelling and cursing just like a real maniac.

The adventure continues! The stakes are really raised and we get to see more of the other characters which I enjoyed getting to know better. There is a bit more blood in the art then the first volume (nothing too graphic, just there more) and Mulgrew is certainly a vile villain I don’t like one bit.
Olivia and Elias both grew in this volume, and I like how they are more siblings towards each other then potential lovers. This volume was a page turner for sure and the ending was really sad and not exactly what I was expecting, though it did make me start reading the third volume immediately.

I couldn't remember what happened to Captain Blaine. He was the coolest pirate captain. And his story is both tragic and heroic.
