Brides and Bouquets at Cedarwood Lodge by Rebecca Raisin is a 2016 HQ publication.
This is the second installment in the Cedarwood Lodge e-serial by Rebecca Raisin.
It’s Christmas time at Cedarwood Lodge and Clio has gotten the lodge ready to host events now and is hoping to cast the net by hosting the winter wonderland expo. She has her hands full, and of course, like Murphy’s law, what can go wrong, will go wrong. Can Clio pull everything together in time?
Although Clio’s possible love interest has left, she’s still harboring feelings for him, but she is also being pursued by her old boyfriend. However, Clio is super busy with the lodge and has plenty of heavy drama to deal with in regards to her mother’s long kept secret that involves memories of events that took place long ago at Cedarwood Lodge. Her refusal to confess to Clio is driving a deeper wedge between them.
In the meantime, Amory and Cruz are going through a rough time as their original goals and plans seem to have melted away. Amory is nervous about the changes and the pressure to commit to marriage and children.
Rebecca Raisin has a knack for creating characters I want to cheer for and can relate to, as well as stories anyone can enjoy. This e-serial is a very nice idea and I’ve been really enjoying these short updates and developments from this delightful cast of characters.
A lot of serious relationship issues crop up in this second chapter, which led to many changes. Some are awesome and I loved the curves some of the characters were brave enough to endure, and has me looking forward to the last chapter in the series with great anticipation. I can’t wait to find out how everything turns out. Naturally, I want Clio to finally get her own happily ever after, and of course I hope she and her mother can finally put the painful past behind them. The suspense is killing me!

I love the return to Cedarwood Lodge. Clio is busy planning the first wedding expo and getting the lodge picture perfect for all the brides. Disaster strikes when something is overlooked and means the return of a certain character. The romance in the book keeps you guessing and hoping and I look forward to seeing how this all works out in the next book.
I absolutely love this series and could just imagine the lodge set up for Christmas and the expo. You could imagine the brides excitement at finding the perfect setting for their special day. You feel invested in the characters and wondering about the secrets hidden at the lodge.
I can't wait for the next book in the series- I hope it's out soon.
I voluntarily read an ARC of this book and would like to thank NetGalley and the publisher.

Really enjoyed this second installment. Cedarwood Lodge is ready and open for business for its first wedding expo. Love is in the air for more than one character although we are left hanging on the will they won't they front at the end - I have my fingers crossed. The mystery surrounding Clios mum remains and the book ended with me wanting to know more. Can't wait for the next book. Thank you to the author for my copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.

I started Brides and Bouquets immediately after finishing the first book in this series, Celebrations and Confetti, as I really love the characters and the feel-good story. This book is another lovely instalment. I thoroughly enjoyed it.
The race is on for Clio to have Cedarwood Lodge ready in time for the massive Wedding Expo she has planned to help entice brides into holding a Christmas wedding at the lodge. Of course, this isn’t without its hiccups and at one point it seems like everything is against her. However, she enlists the help of the handsome project manager we met in book one and all is right with the world again.
Honestly, if I was looking for venues to get married, Cedarwood Lodge would be at the top of my list. I got married in April, but a Christmas wedding in such a beautiful setting sounds amazing! The whole set up sounds stunning! How could you not be swept away with the romance of it all!?
I thought it might be weird reading a Christmassy book in April/May, but it really wasn’t. I loved it! It’s beautifully written feel-good fiction at its finest.
I look forward to reading book three but due to other review commitments I haven’t been able to jump straight into it.
** I purchased the kindle edition of Brides and Bouquets on the 27th of April 2025 (Our wedding Anniversary!) after finishing book one **

This is the second novella in a linked trio. As with the first, we have a lot of different characters (one new one on the set), with much hanging at the end. What is Clio's mother's secret? Will Kai and Clio get together? Will they get approval to run the chapel for weddings? All this and more hopefully to be resolved in the final novella in the series.

Thank you to Netgalley, HQ publishing and Rebecca Raisin for the opportunity to read this book for an honest review.
You can find my review on both Goodreads and Amazon as of today under my name of Karen Whittard.
I have been a massive fan of Rebecca Raisen for quite some time now. I love the way Rebecca writes with such warmth and fun. Bringing the characters to life before your very eyes ad making you feel like you are part of all the action. I have loved the series
The Gingerbread cafe, the bookshop series and the series set in Paris. So when I saw that Rebecca had written another series set in the gorgeous Cederwood lodge I jumped at the chance to read the books. Knowing that I would be in for a treat, and boy as always Rebecca to never disappoint. I have brought and read the first part of this series and loved it. So when I was granted a book from your publishers to read this book for an honest review. I must admit I jumped up and down with glee. I couldn't wait to hop right into it. This is a wonderful second part and the third part has been on preorder for along time now. So I can't wait to read it.
This is a really lovely addition to the series. Part two sees Christmas coming to Cedarwood Lodge and what a stunning backdrop this would be for the most festive time of the year.
Clio is stilling trying to bring lots of attention to the venue and decides that it would be a delectable place for weddings to happen. Which it would be. I mean the place sounds stunning. So Clio is preparing to have a wedding expo day. With brides comping from far and near to view the event. It takes a lot of planning and a careful touch to bring everything together. Will Clio be able to pull it all off in time?
I really loved this romantic Christmas tale and cannot wait for the next book in the series.
Happy reading everyone

Clio and her team are back! After the success of the wedding anniversary party of Edgar and Imelda, Clio is now focused upon the bridal expo she has coming up ahead of Christmas to show off Cedarwood in all its festive glory. Clio has her partner-in-crime back, however it's not entirely clear why Amory has turned up unannounced....and arguably with the worst possible timing!
Kai has left as planned and is working on other jobs however Clio needs him back to iron out some issues with the building works - however is that the only reason she would like him back??
We are introduced to some new characters in this instalment, who are as lovable as those we met in Celebrations and Confetti.
I thoroughly enjoyed Brides and Bouquets, I enjoyed being back in the fold of the Cedarwood Lodge team however I continue to be intrigued by Cedarwood Lodge, why everyone seems to clam up when quizzed on its history and why Clio's mother dislikes the place so much so I look forward to the final instalment, Midnight & Mistletoe where hopefully, all will be revealed.

Cedarwood Lodge is up and running and preparing for its first brides expo and Clio is panicking as there is so much to do and she has forgotten to follow up the planning on the chapel - luckily the gorgeous Kai is able to come back and help out!
Clio's friend Amory has also arrived at the Lodge after leaving New York in a hurry and Clio needs to get to the bottom of what is going on with Amory and her boyfriend Cruz. Isla and Micah are still going strong so romance is definitely in the air so lets hope the brides feel it!
Another good story and looking forward to the last part so that we can find out what the mystery is with Clio's mother and the maze

I read this as the full novel rather than the three part book series. So this review is for the full novel but don’t worries there are no spoilers:
I have well and truly fallen in love with Cedarwood Lodge and I want to stay there for real. Oh and don't get me started on the library at the lodge, the thought of book clubs, author events & readers retreats all taking place at the lodge just sounded like my idea of heaven. Complete bliss.
I also loved the sound of Bessie's mouth watering donuts, some of them just sounded devine especially the cookies and cream one. Not sure if would do my weight any good though.
Oh and little Scotty, he is so adorable, and I just want to pick him up and give him lots of cuddles. If you want to know who Scotty is, you'll just have to read the book.
I loved the bonds that existed between certain characters and then the new bonds that formed with new characters. All of which were so believable and well written. I truly loved getting to know each and every character.
Throughout the book, you become aware that there are secrets to be discovered, and so you spend majority of the book wondering when you'll discover the those secrets and wondering what they are, well I certainly did. It certainly kept me turning the pages.
I loved how it all ended, almost didn't want it to end, as I will dearly miss the characters.

I always say this about Rebecca Raisin’s books, but they are just delightful. Think chocolates without the calories, or any kind of indulgence. It’s like slipping into another world of warmth, where you just know that good will triumph over evil. After 2016, it’s the kind of book we need!
Brides and Bouquets at Cedarwood Lodge is part 2 of a trilogy and I would suggest that it’s a good idea to read the first book (Celebrations and Confetti at Cedarwood Lodge) first to gain maximum love for this series. Then you’ll be familiar with Clio’s problems – bringing Cedarwood Lodge back to its glory days even though her mother refuses to set foot in the place, the reappearance of her (newly single) first love and Kai, the master builder who has left for the west coast. Clio’s best friend Amory is a strong presence in this book as she takes a sabbatical at the lodge (read: dodging her boyfriend after an unexpected proposal). The girls are on to their next project for the lodge – a bridal expo to showcase the possible role of the lodge for that dreamy winter wonderland wedding. Of course, things don’t go to plan when the local council refuses to let the brides into the chapel, citing structural issues. This is where Clio needs Kai back in her life and reluctantly, she calls him. It’s a glimmer of hope for Clio that he helps out so readily – maybe Kai feels the same way she does? But then there’s her first love Timothy who is suggesting he’d like to get to know Clio again and her mother refusing to give up the secrets of the lodge…it’s all too confusing!
We meet in this instalment Amory’s boyfriend, Cruz who is a hotshot on Wall Street but has a former life as a chef. When Clio’s chef bails to join a cruise ship, she turns to him in desperation and Cruz definitely delivers! It also makes him consider his career in a new light and changes Amory’s thoughts on him. Could there be extra love blossoming in the kitchen?
I loved the multiple plot threads going on in this novella, but we’re still left on tenterhooks as to the fate of Clio and Kai. Will she be bold and tell all? Or will she explore a new relationship with Timothy (and his scary children)? It’s a wonderful, fun read just right for the holiday season.
Thank you to HQ Digital for the eARC. My review is honest.

Rebecca's peppy and energetic prose transfers her characters' frisson of excitement for the upcoming events at Cedarwood Lodge to the readers too. It's impossible not to be pleased with her books, this book is no different. I could feel the characters' enthusiasm to get ready for the bridal expo and Christmas season. With an undertone of mystery and blooming romances, this book is a total delight for the chick-lit fans.

Bridal expo at Cedarwood
Another great installment about Cedarwood and the people who are bringing it back to its former glory. As usual something doesn't work out as well as everyone thought so it's all hands on deck to get everything ready for the expo. Also Clio is trying to get closer to her mom but something is holding her mom back.

A wonderful, schmaltzy, feel good festive story. A book full of well described roaring fires and good food (a favourite of mine it must be said). What gives this book an edge is the twist running through it.
I am looking forward to part 3 to find out exactly what is going on.

Cedarwood is a magical place
The old lodge becomes new again after renovations even with a few hiccups along the way. Springing up new love, new lives, and a promising future for all but still Cedarwood holds untold secrets.

Another brilliant page turner
Loved it, the way the characters draw you in and become a part of your family, just can't put the book down and looking forward to where all the characters journeys end up.

Nice follow up to the previous book.
I really enjoy the characters and lovely setting of this novel. My only complaint is that it ended too soon.

It only feels like yesterday that we were giving a warm welcome to Clio Winters and Cedarwood Lodge! Luckily for us though, barely any time at all has passed and she is BACK! Well, technically she isn't back as she didn't leave Cedarwood Lodge in between books...you know what I mean. ANYWAY!
Brides & Bouquets is centred around what Clio does best; wedding planning. However, wedding planning at Cedarwood Lodge is a bit different for Clio this time around, as she is working with an unfinished lodge. Will Clio and her Cedarwood army be able to turn Cedarwood lodge into a wedding haven for her bride visitors?
I have been so excited about this book ever since I finished reading 'Celebration's and Confetti'. Such a moreish storyline with intriguing characters, my expectations were rather high for Brides & Bouquets! I believe that this series can be read standalone, but in my honest opinion, I would advise that you read them in order, from the beginning otherwise you might end up wondering who the pansy everyone is.
It did take me a little while to warm up to the storyline. I genuinely thought that I could slip back into it as if I hadn't been away, but I felt like a bride with cold feet. It could be the fact that I had read the first book a few weeks ago, read quite a few books and come back to the series again...I may have sabotaged myself. Anyway, once I got into it, the storyline warmed me up like a cup of hot cocoa by the fire!
The descriptions of each room, the Christmas tree, as well as items from the bridal expo made me feel as though I was in Cedarwood Lodge myself, seeing everything with my very own eyes. Surreal feeling!
I must admit, this review is a bit difficult to write as I am having to be super careful not to give anything away, especially as every situation in the book is very closely linked to another. Just to clarify, that isn't a bad thing! Not for you anyway, it is for me as I want to tell you ALLLLLL of it, but I can't. That would be mean.
I found myself liking Clio even more in this book as we got to see more of her personality, as well as watching her grow as a person. She has more of an edge to her this time but I have a feeling that there is more to her that we haven't seen yet. Compared to the first book in the series, Brides and Bouquets felt more emotional in a way I can't really explain, definitely positive though!
Brides and Bouquet is a heart-warming tale that may leave you wanting to change your career straight after reading it. Full of fabulous humour, likeable characters and a truly cosy setting, this book will warm you from the inside out and fill your heart with a bouquet of joy!

A new Rebecca Raisin title is always a major cause for celebration and HQ Digital are truly spoiling her fans with her latest tale, Cedarwood Lodge, a juicy, romantic and feel-good serial told in three parts that is absolutely impossible to resist. In the second installment, Brides and Bouquets at Cedarwood Lodge, the drama, romance and thrills just keep on coming and readers are sure to continue to fall in love with the wonderful world which this talented author has created!
Christmas is coming and Clio Winters is as busy as ever trying to promote Cedarwood Lodge as the premier location for sumptuous and beautiful wedding receptions. Clio is determined to put all her time, money and energy into achieving her goal and she will stop at nothing to achieve her objective – regardless of all the stress, anguish and sleepless nights that it might entail. With a bridal expo about to take place at the Lodge, Clio is determined to pull out all the stops to ensure that everything goes off without a hitch. She is determined to make this event a resounding success and with her best friend from New York, Amory, coming along to lend a helping hand – not to mention a great crew behind the scenes – Clio is quietly confident that her dream of turning the Lodge into one of the country’s top wedding locations will become a reality. But does fate have other plans in store for her and Cedarwood Lodge?
Her best friend Amory might have brought her Manhattan flair and style to Cedarwood Lodge, but beneath her glitzy and glamorous exterior lies a broken-hearted woman worried about her relationship with the only man who has managed to get under her skin, her sexy as sin boyfriend, Cruz. Clio cannot help but worry about Amory – even if she’s got a lot on her plate at the moment: not only does she have an expo to organise, but she has to contend with an old flame intent on rekindling their relationship, staff going AWOL and a good-looking man who has made it perfectly clear that he does not plan on sticking around after Christmas…
Will a Yuletide miracle manage to solve all of Clio’s problems and make her dreams come true? Or are all of her hopes and dreams doomed to fail?
Losing yourself in a Rebecca Raisin novel is one of life’s pleasures and readers are sure to love this exciting, enthralling and totally compelling tale of friendship, romance, secrets and family. Brides and Bouquets at Cedarwood Lodge is an uplifting, romantic and spellbinding story fans of Jill Shalvis, Debbie Macomber and Jenny Colgan are going to love!
Fast-paced, enjoyable and terrific from beginning to end – I cannot wait for Part 3 of Rebecca Raisin’s mesmerizing Cedarwood Lodge serial!

This is book 2 in the Cedarwood Lodge series. We are back with Clio Winters, Clio has an upcoming Wedding fair at the lodge and is determined to make it a big success and nothing is going to get in her way to make this the best Wedding fair ever. Clio hopes that the fair will also bring in more bookings for the future and get some publicity out there. Her best friend Amory, is visiting from from New York and giving her a hand. Clio has a great group of workers and hopes they will be able to pull the Wedding fair off in time. Isla and Micah still going strong, Timothy, who is Clio's childhood sweetheart and very interested in making another go of things. The chef she has hired for the fair goes AWOL on the morning of the fair leaving Clio empty handed, clio faces some problems with the council and needs to call upon Kai, who she has fallen for but feels things wont work as Kai is due to leave after Christmas. There is also the big secret surrounding the lodge and Clio's mum. The whole town seems determined to keep what has happened under wraps and Clio continues to come up against a brick wall when she starts to research the history. Now the maze has been found, maybe Clio can finally get some answers? Or maybe its best to leave things alone.
Again I love getting lost in Rebecca Raisin's stories, it was great being back at Cedarwood Lodge with Clio and the gang. Although I felt there was more going on in the first book and I seemed to enjoy it more. I cant say I didnt like this part because I did but I just felt more connected in book 1. I am looking forward to seeing what the last installment has in store but im also a little sad as we are going to be seeing the last of Clio and her friends.

Clio is determined to make the bridal expo at her beloved Cedarwood Lodge a resounding success, no matter how many sleepless nights it takes. But with such a great crew and her best friend Amory from New York staying with her, what can go wrong? After all, Cedarwood has this undeniable magic that makes you feel alive. But life is never that straightforward. Her best friend is running away from love, her childhood sweetheart seems intent on rekindling their past, her chef disappears on the morning of the expo, and the one man who gives her butterflies is unlikely to stay in Cedarwood past Christmas. Throw in a mystery surrounding her detached mother and the lodge which everyone in town seems determined to keep secret, and the holiday season has become a lot more interesting for Clio, who is about to find out that timing is everything.
BRIDES & BOUQUETS AT CEDARWOOD LODGE by Rebecca Raisin is part two of this enchanting tale, and once again I completely fell under the lodge's spell. With plenty of disasters, misunderstandings, friendships and love, this series has got everything you could want in a good book. I love Clio and her desire to make everything right for everybody that she comes across, even if she does shy away from risking her own heart. The group as a whole make me smile as we get to experience proper friendships, in good times and bad, with love and loyalty at every turn. This is a heartwarming series that I know I will re-read time and again, and I cannot wait for the third instalment!!!!
*I voluntarily reviewed this book for LRR Promotions

Charming second novella in the Cedarwood lodge series, which progresses the action on nicely from the first book, while setting up the final book for what I'm hoping to be a spectacular conclusion.
The central points of this novella are the Wedding Expo to try and get lots of new brides to book in for weddings in the New Year. However what should be rather simple is filled with unexpected problems that need to be solving, and which lead to a certain male outdoors type to but in a return to the Lodge.
The other main story is Clio's best friend, Armory and her relationship with Cruz. In fact there are quite a few romances brewing at Cedarwood Lodge, and they are all enjoyable to read about.
What I am still most intrigued about is Clio's relationship with her mother, and frustratingly we still don't know what the big secret is, although there are some hints, so I can look forward to a wait to try and work it out, while waiting for the next book.
This definitely works as a second book in a series, but I am not the best person to judge if it would work as a standalone, but since each of these are relatively short, it would be a shame not to read Celebrations & Confetti at Cedarwood Lodge first.
Brides and Bouquets At Cedarwood Lodge is another enjoyable installment of this series, and I am now starting to get a proper feel for the characters.
Thank you to HQ Digital and Netgalley for this copy of the book that I have reviewed voluntarily and honestly.

Do you remember Clio from Cedarwood Lodge?
It's almost Christmas and she is preparing the Lodge for a Wedding Fair, but before she could open the doors she will have to face some serious problems; a chef resignation, a couple in conflict, a missing paper... so many more troubles that maybe there will be no brides!
This is the second part of the Cedarwood Lodge trilogy, don't read it alone, you will miss everything!
I can not say I didn't like this book, but there are so many unanswered questions at the end that it's like there are missing pages! But I can not deny that it was a sweet read, you just have to enjoy the read and the warm feelings and happiness that Cedarwood transmit, I hope one day I can visit it! ;) Yes, I know there's something mysterious too about Cedarwood Lodge, but where's the happiness without a little bit of mystery in life!
I can not wait to read Midnight & Mistletoe at Cedarwood Lodge, maybe we will know more about Clio's mother secret or who will have Clio's heart (that's my big question!)
Reading this series is like a marshmallow, sweet and fluffy that you just want to enjoy page by page and don't miss anything!
Rebecca Raisin makes us dream with happy endings and that even if you have a big problem, you will always find the solution! Be careful if you start reading this book... Rebecca Raisin books are addictive!
