Stuck in medieval England with no cell service...

Christian Thornton keeps losing his betrothed. The ladies have heard a terrible rumor and flee. If that wasn't bad enough, he's facing pestilence and disease, his people are sick, and the last thing he needs is a vexing future girl showing up at Winterforth.

Ashley is high-strung, stressed out, and lost without her ever present phone. The thought of being disconnected makes her break out in hives. For someone who always needs to know what time it is, waking up in medieval England when the black plague is looming just won’t do.

** I received a copy of this book from the author in exchange for an honest review.**

'Last Knight' was another awesome book to a fantastic series, 'Thornton Brothers Time Travel'. The storyline pulled me in and kept me glued to the pages. The way it played out was well written and well thought out. Full of adventure, mishaps, great characters and humorous scenarios. Christian was the last of the brothers to find a suitable mate, but he seemed to have had fun up to the point of actually landing a wife. Ashley was the epitome of an accomplished business woman who worked very hard to be a part of a mans world. She also tried her hardest to never let her small town upbringing be known. She failed to realize that the place she came from was the same reason she succeeded. I loved her carefree attitude about not needed to be that woman with a fantastic job, the perfect marriage/relationship and kids. She ultimately fooled herself into thinking that was a bad thing. Her dependency on schedules and always having every minute of the day itemized was shattered when she no longer controlled it. This story was full of humor and had a great array of characters. A must read. Recommended.

Ashley Bennett lived her life by the clock always moving forward never looking back. Ashley is competing for a position within the company she works for but won't let her boss and slimy coworker get in her way either. Ashley takes a trip to London only to be diverted to Wales instead. Meanwhile Christian Thornton, Lord Winterforth, has be rejected by another bride. Christian's losing hope in finding a bride or having a big family. Christian sees that his brothers are happily married with families of their own but doesn't want a future bride for himself. What are Ashley and Christian hiding from one another? Will Christian gain his dreams? Your answers await you in Last Knight.

I really love this series! Ms. Luhrs has really crafted a wholly unique world that I'd love to visit in real life. The story and characters always draw me in from first to last page. I'm never disappointed in reading Ms. Luhrs books. I look forward to my next adventure with this author.

I love this series of books and was shocked when I realised it was book 4 of 4. Nooooo, no more!

I thoroughly enjoyed getting to know the characters in this book and it's always great when they all come together from the previous books.

Christian, the youngest of the Thornton brothers, although tough and sexy as they all are was not so intimidating as the others. He was really sweet.

The characters were all beautifully written, as always and the humour with the children was an added bonus.

I can't wait to see what Ms Luhrs comes up with next. A Knight in our time would be great....we need to find Connor?? :-)

I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.

This is the last of the four novels involving the Thornton Brothers involving ‘future girls’ & time-travel. Cynthia Luhrs’ The Last Knight concerns the youngest Thornton brother, Christian, who is constantly lonely and wishes to marry, but all his fiancées run off because of an unfounded rumor.
Christian does not want a ‘future girl’. Enter Ashley Bennett! This is a clever story with some unexpected twists, delightful characters, and a very handsome brother! 41/4 stars. I gave this book 41/4 stars as in the beginning, the author mentions that Edward is not married and has Edward make a flippant remark that he is seeing ‘local maidens’. I certainly received the impression that he and Jennifer were quite the item & marriage was not far off (#3). This small but significant scene made me drop the score from 41/2-5 to 41/4 stars.

I received an advanced reader copy of this book for an honest review. Book 4 of 4 in the Thornton Brothers series did not disappoint! Ms. Luhrs does an outstanding job of characterization and bridging two worlds- modern day for Ashley the highly successful and competitive business woman and midevil England the world of Christian Thornton. Like the preceding books in the series there are many challenges for future gals as they travel through time and meet the dashing Thornton brothers. This book like the others is a fun read, give it a try and you won't be disappointed! I look forward to the next series.

awesome

Time has passed, and now all of the Thorton brothers are married. Cynthia Lubes has once again proved to be an amazing writer. We're is Conner? What about Auntie surely at least one or two more stories at least to go along with the Merrieweathers and the Thortons just saying. Read all of Cynthia's books you won't be disappointed.

This is a good time-travel romance, featuring the last of the Thornton Brothers (from the 1300's) and the modern woman he falls for. For those who like clean romances, with no sex scenes, this series is perfect for you. It has kisses, but no sex scenes at all.

I have liked all the books so far in this series, and I liked this one, too. I did think that Christian and Ashley needed to communicate a little better, since they both kept secrets from each other. Those secrets caused problems in their relationship that really weren't necessary. Once they finally opened up to each other, though, they were good together.

I don't think it was very believable that the time-traveling women in this series were accepted into the 1300's world so quickly. Everyone would have thought their behavior and dress was very strange, and some people would have even considered them to be witches or fairies.

I also thought it was unbelievable that all of the Thornton brothers would end up with a time-traveling wife -- I get that time-travel is a fantasy anyway, but for all of them to just happen to meet a woman from the 21st century? I didn't buy it, but it was an entertaining read.

This book gets 3.5 stars from me, rounded up to 4 stars.

My rating system is below.
1 star -- Hated it, or did not finish. I usually only give this rating if some of the content is truly objectionable to me, like if one of the main characters does something really awful, and gets away with it.
2 stars -- Didn't like it. This rating usually means that I thought the writing wasn't very good, the editing was terrible, I didn't like the characters, or it had other major flaws.
3 stars -- I liked it, but had some minor issues with it. This rating means that there were minor editing issues, the story needed more character development, it was just too unrealistic, or had some other fairly minor issue. The majority of books I read get this rating – I do not consider it a bad rating.
4 stars -- I liked it a lot. This is a high rating for me, and I rarely give a higher one.
5 stars -- I loved it, and will probably read it again. Very few books are good enough to get this rating from me. The ones that do are usually classics.

Family Time

Love finds family through time. This is the story of a modern woman needing to find love for herself after a childhood of rejection. Falling through time to find first love and acceptance from a love given to her. When she finally admits to herself she is fine and accepts the love given to her, she finally gets the last piece of the puzzle, Family Love. Definitely another 5 star episode in this time travel saga!

Really good

I truly enjoyed this story. Am always a bit wary with time travel books, as they can be great- or not. This is a good one. Totally identified with Ashley, driven, focused, determined, yet notices and cares about others. Enjoyed her transformation. Loved the sisters and her new life there. Made you hold your breath at the wedding!!!! Lovely ending. Looking forward to more of these if they are like this one.

Can't put it down

I can judge how well I like a book in how long it takes me to read it. This one went quickly. Too quickly. Enjoy being transported to another time of romance.

This was the best of the bunch in the stories about the Thornton brothers. It seemed the author took much more care in shaping the story than she did in the other Thornton books (other than the one about Connor McTavish). This was a great way to wind up the series.

I love the Merriweather Sisters/Thornton Brothers series. It may not be high literature, but it is a great series to wind down with in the evening or take on holiday.
