Easy to follow introduction to the seven Chakras, their placement and general influence on the flow of energy within the body. I found the explanations clear and logical, and I'm looking forward to putting the theory into practice. I'm reserving judgement on whether or not I believe in the system but, if nothing else, I can see that the meditation advice, breathing technique, and relaxation protocol can only be positive to someone like me, constantly struggling with anxiety and nervousness. I appreciate the discussion of specific stones to unblock each Chakra. I have been practising the physical aspects of yoga for years, but without really delving into the spiritual side of it.
Only three stars because the grammar and spelling are very poor, and frankly they detract from the overall quality of the book.
I found this book to be full of information. I'm looking forward to buying my Chakra stones and healing my body. I would highly recommend this book for beginners. I loved it!

Her other books are YOGA: 4 Week Step by Step Guide for Beginners, BUDDHISM FOR BEGINNERS: 8 Step Guide for Finding Peace and Enlightenment. Now tin this book she addresses CHAKRAS – and again she directs the contents to Beginners. Her manner of presentation is accessible information and education about forms of guidance to aid her readers into a life of peace and happiness through Eastern methods.

Jill presents her teaching aspect supplemented with diagrams that make the information clear. The 7 chakras are The Crown Chakra, The Third Eye Chakra, The Throat Chakra, The Heart Chakra, The Solar Plexus Chakra, The Sacral Chakra, and The Base/Root Chakra – and the diagram and explanation makes access to these points comprehensible.

As Jill closes her book she states, ‘If you can improve what you eat, how you sit and stand and try to incorporate meditation into your life, you will find it natural to respect your body and to keep it in positions that help the chakras rather than hinder them. Another aspect is your sense of spirituality and purpose. This is quite important and in your dealings with other people, if you try to be friendly and open, you will find that this helps the heart chakra as well as assisting you to become more at peace with who you are.’
There are other books about Chakras but Jill’s down to earth approach is well worth absorbing.
I have always been interested in chakras but didn't really understand what it was all about. This is a good beginner book for people like myself who have an interest in learning what the chakras do. It explains what each one relates to, where it is on the body and how you can cleanse them yourself with specific crystals. It is an informative book
