Are you ready to go on the most thrilling adventure of your life? God loves to play hide and seek and for those who search for Him with all their hearts, He makes Himself known. God’s Day Timer provides the biblical keys that unlock hidden treasures just waiting to be discovered. Author, teacher, and pastor Mark Biltz offers tremendous insight into being in touch with God. In Genesis the Hebrew word for “seasons” is translated in Leviticus as “feasts.” A better translation is “divine appointments.” God tells us that the sun and the moon are to be used to determine when the divine appointments occur, which is critical to understanding when God will intersect human history. In God's Day Timer, Pastor Biltz breaks down the divine appointments, or seven feasts of the Lord, to make it easy to understand for beginners and explains how to keep the Sabbath and get on God’s schedule to better understand His timing and the signs of the coming events. Discover the importance of keeping the Passover and Yom Kippur among the other feasts. - Learn how to perform a weekly Shabbat. - Find out the various steps of administering a Seder dinner - Realize why it is vital for Christian believers to be on the biblical calendar God’s Day Timer takes you on a journey that will unlock treasure chests full of golden insights. Sit back, put on your 3-D Bible glasses and come on an adventure that will radically change your life.
One cannot help but find the author's enthusiasm propelling, page after page, wanting to understand more, and then even more. I highly recommend this book to any and all desiring a deeper understanding of the rich history behind God's Divine Appointments!
Especially the feast of trabernacles chapter, wow! How Jesus connects to hannakuh is amazing. I pray Jews the world over come to the truth that Jesus is Lord by turning to their messiah, our messiah, through the feasts!
This was a very interesting book. As a believer in Biblical prophecy, it stuck me that Biltz misses some profoundly clear prophecies in Daniel and Revelation while focusing on making the case the traditional Jewish memorial holidays are still valid dates for future prophecies. It is an interesting theory and I found some of the arguments quite compelling. His enthusiasm is evident and he does bring a unique mixture of Christian and Jewish traditions.
Such a rich book! Bring some highlighters and Bible with you when you go to read this one. Take your time reading it as you need to chew and digest all the rich nuggets. You will see the Bible differently and the God of the Bible differently. I was fascinated and yet convicted that as a Christian for most of my life, I was unaware of how God operates. I will be returning to this book frequently.
Very thought-provoking. An exhortation to research, and even celebrate, the Biblical Feasts. The author also offers an exposé on the historical departure from the intent of the New Testament teachings.
