TEAM Agent Ky Winchester survived a brutal encounter with a Taliban madman only because of a woman with green eyes, an angel he thought he’d dreamed in the depths of torment. She came to him in that far off torture chamber, cloaked in the tender magic of hope, and because of her, he was willing to believe he might survive his nightmare. It’s too bad he never thought to ask her name. Too bad he’ll spend the rest of his days searching for her. Whoever she is…
FBI Agent Eden Stark is the Bureau’s number one and very top-secret psychic asset. While running from a different kind of madman, this one intent on mechanizing America’s military, turning them into controllable drones, Eden’s plane goes down in the frigid Canadian north. It’s very probable she won’t survive the night. Two meched-up FBI agents are already tracking her. Maybe wolves. Maybe someone else.
Growing up in the countryside of Wisconsin, I always wanted to be a writer. I've dabbled in poetry, short stories, and more daydreaming than most. Way back when, I remember long Sunday afternoon drives with my parents where they'd tell us eight kids to, 'Look out the window and see something!'
I've been looking out the window ever since . . .
In the great Northwest pines, I saw a woman who had nowhere to run find refuge in the arms of a tender warrior seeking his own road to healing. In the hills of Wyoming, I saw a broken man who thought he'd lost everything rediscover the man he was in the eyes of a pretty girl. And in the Dairy State, (yes Wisconsin), I saw two people fall in love and overcome horrific obstacles on their way to happily-ever-after.
Life is short. Pick up a good book. Read. Write. Enjoy. Look out the window and see something!
I am so happy that Ky and Eden had a happy ending. After book 12 and a box of tissues I knew it would be special. And it was. For Eden to experience what Ky did and for them to find one another again and again and come out on top was wonderful. Looking forward to Hunter and hopefully Tate
Irish has, yet again, written a story so spectacular that putting your book down for even the smallest speck of time is near impossible.
Ky is a unique story in the vast world of cookie-cutter military romances. His connection with Eden is spectacular, showing us that love really does conquer all. And Eden...let's just say, never underestimate the sweet one! They are truly made for each other.
I am eagerly looking forward to the next installment in this series, as well as the new series coming up!
The heroine is top in her profession and is protected well for the FBI. However, when she finds someone’s after her she goes on the run. She finds herself bouncing around the US before eventually getting into Canada where she’s in a plane crash and knows she needs help, but will it arrive before the people out to kill her do?
Our hero you meet in the 12th book in the series, where he was a prisoner. However, the only reason why he survived the encounter was because of a voice and a face with green eyes. She helped keep him sane. The only problem is he doesn’t know who she is or how to contact her, but he’s not going to let that slow him down.
The plot is a great one with the use of a psychic and the use of making men into killing machines. I liked how you got a taste of our hero and heroine in a prior book and then this one expands upon it. Further, I liked how they didn’t know really who the other is until this book when they start to put things together and share a link. The author does a good job of letting the story roll along because you just don’t know who is and who isn’t on your side. I say good job for her.
This is the 13th from this series, and still curious where we’ll be going next.
Ky In the Company of Snipers 13 By Irish Winters Narrated by Troy Duran
Irish Winters does it again! This is one of my favorite romantic suspense series, each one unique and thrilling. I especially loved the one, as I love stories with psychic ability and this one incorporates it masterfully. Ky is injured, dying in Afghanistan when a woman comes to him and stays until he is rescued. But was she really there? Years later, Eden is in trouble, and Ky comes to her aid. Is she the woman who was there? Her psychic ability is strong, and their connection unbreakable. But her job using her abilities has her in danger. Will Ky be able to keep her safe? And is their connection real? Winters keeps us engaged with the entire team, and Mother is still giving her sage advice. Thrilling suspense with that paranormal twist adds to the loving relationship that is growing between Ky and Eden. Can’t wait for the next book!
Troy Duran continues his narration with his fabulous voice. His story telling is always amazing, and as Ky he shows strength and compassion, bravery and love. I truly enjoyed the performance and as always look forward to more from him.
This is book 13 in the outstanding In the Company of the Snipers Series, a Romantic Suspense. This is another great addition to the Series. This is a series of interconnected standalones. Ky and Eden's story is entertaining, suspenseful, and action packed. These characters are amazing. Eden's psychic asset is such an interesting addition to the story! I liked the storyline, the characters, the action, the paranormal twist, and the happy ending. Troy Duran did another fantastic job with the narration. I enjoyed it, and I highly recommend this Series. I am looking forward to listening to Lee, the next book in the Series.
Severely beaten, bearly hanging on his Angel appeared. Staying with him until help arrived. But no one else saw her. Ty has been looking for her since. Eden works for the FBI. Her plane crashed and Ky is part of the team sent to rescue her. When Eden hears his name she knows he is the Ky she has been looking for. Ky recognizes her green eyes but can't understand how she got to the pit he was in. An amazing story, I laughed, I cried, I forgot to breath.
I enjoyed the overall story with great plot and twists and turns in story. Well developed characters, that played strongly- a mix of FBI and other agents. Unexpectedly the heroines fall into love, while fighting evil with a HEA. Story is too long for my tastes.
Irish Winters always manages to create the most realistic individual stories. No two are alike, but you feel like you are catching up with old friends at the same time. That is a true gift in a storyteller!
