Short shifter insta lust story.
I knew the disgusting wolf from book one would be in this.
As this ends suddenly at the end of chapter 19 with a declaration of war against the wolves, then nothing more, this backstory will obviously continue in book three.
Bit strange that Haley, being a shifter herself, fell for the lies of a man. Especially when she feels the mate bond with Wyatt then acts stupid about staying with Wyatt.
Not quite sure I liked Haley.
Felt she was running away from her problems, rather than take on the married ratbag who got her pregnant. She just walks and lets him get away with everything.
Then she doesn’t listen to her psychic friend’s warning.
Wyatt I liked a lot. He was such a gentleman to that horror of a date woman.
Wanted more for him than what he ends up with.
Read in the box set through Kindle Unlimited.

This was the best story in the series for me Wyatt and Haley where very compatible. The antics of Colton made me laugh out loud. Here we have the older brother who has not been able to find his mate. He must do so in order to be alpha of his clan. His younger brother has been matchmaking over and over. No success looks like it will be in the Horizon.
Haley is a ballerina, who is now on the outside of her career, pregnant and running out of funds. Encouraged by an older friend who is a psychic to look at the job classifieds, she does and her life dramatically starts to change.

This was a short but oh so engaging story! The world is intriguing, the characters alive and the storyline riveting. My only complaint is that it is a huge cliffhanger in terms of plot that leaves the reader with a huge gap. You definitely know this is a series, though I wish the overall plot hadn't been left hanging in the wind. Don't worry though, this is a complete and entertaining story with a defined HEA. A great shifter read!

I like this book solely for the storyline......flamingo shifter (raised eyebrows). However, there`s too much left to one's own assumptions. The ending is too abrupt as well. So much build up but no real fruition on the pending war. The bulk of the story is essentially the middle, but a smoozey, ending doesn't cover the omission of the pack troubles. Still a descent read.

Interesting dynamic in the shifter world. I appreciated the different spin and the awe the couple seems to have in realizing they are true mates. It would have been interesting if there had been more story development in regards to the "bad" wolf shifters. In the end, a well written and entertaining story.

Started this one in the morning and finished it in the late afternoon. Loved reading how these two got together and why. Never read a book with a flamingo shifter before, so this was fun. Definite good parts in their coming together. And Wyatt finally speaks about taking the reins as Alpha. A fun and interesting read.

Such a sweet story!
Thus is book 2 Watt finds his mate....crazy enough she's a Flamingo! The way they find each other is a fluke. A touch of kismet for sure! There is an additional surprise that unexpected, but turns out to be a most welcome one! Loving Candace Ayers' books!

Good for a quick happy read
Fast paced. It may be standalone but it's far more interesting if you read the whole series. Elsewise it's a sweet romance with a couple chapters of uninteresting intrigue.

Good read
I love this mini series. Wyatt needed a mate but kept coming up empty until Haley came into his life. Now he was ready to take his new mate and ready to become Alpha of the Sterling Clan.

More good characters, and an enjoyable storyline with some twists and turns. Little editing errors did not distract too much but seriously, a truck is not a car! Lol.

The opening was the best; so visceral and in your face horrible. Then as the story progressed, it wasn't as good. Mediocre at best

Really to short of a story. Within 24 hours two strangers fall in bed together declaring that they are mated. Of course, they love each other even though they know nothing about each other.

Love it. How can you not fall in love with Wyatt Sterling? He is a gorgeous Polar bear shifter that just wants to find the one woman for himself. His mate. Thanks to his brother Colton, and a bit of devious planning he meets Haley. She answers an ad and comes all the way to Alaska to his "companion" not realizing she herself was going to find her mate. How can he accept her... she is a flamingo shifter that prefers the heat and she is pregnant? Great story with everything including terrifying action that has been boiling over since the first book, The Billionaires Bride. It is not resolved yet but the book can be read as a stand alone book.

I voluntarily read and reviewed a copy of this book. Wow! Candace Ayers has quickly become a favorite of mine. Wyatt and Haley's book is charming. It's short but long enough to give you all the information you need. I loved it!
