“My new favorite cookbook! I especially love that these meals are meant for two people and my husband and I don't end up with a ton of uneaten leftovers. A great cookbook for couples!”— Holly S., Amazon Customer
I chose this rating because this is a great book for those that have never used a Dutch oven and are two people. The recipes and hints are easy to follow and sound delightful. I was given enameled Baking dishes and a Dutch oven for Christmas, much to my delight and this book will start me on the road to fabulous cooking!
With my husband and I empty nesters now, I am always looking for cookbooks that don't have me over cooking and having tons of food wasted. This was a great cookbook for that. Simple recipes using the dutch oven for easy cooking for me after a long day (or easy prep for him). I think there were only a handful of recipes that I wouldn't try. Recipes ranged from breakfast to dessert. There were not a whole lot of pictures included with the cookbook. Something I was disappointed with on this one.
Ive always gravitated toward simplicity in cooking and especially love one pot meals. I typically use my large pot, steamer and pressure cooker to create alot of my recipies so I was happy to add the All in one Dutch Oven Cookbook for two to my collection. This is set up similarly to many of the cookbooks I currently have which is an easy format of teaching a style of cooking and then the preceding chapters provide easy to follow recipes. With this particular style I prefer e format so that I can quickly locate with a click the recipe I want from the table of contents.
The first chapter covers all the need to knows and history of Dutch Ovens while the rest are separated into sections such as Vegetarian and Breads & Desserts. I had no idea until reading this book that you cook make bread in a Dutch oven.
I received this in exchange for a fair and honest review.
