Something is coming...

It's a warm Easter evening in the quaint, picturesque town of Abbington. The birds are singing in the trees, the magic hour shines a light down on all, and brothers Billy and his older sibling, Kevin, have the world at their fingertips.

Having recently moved to the wholesome, quiet town, Billy longs to explore the dark, dense woods that surround their home. Their parents are gone for the evening, and they have all the freedom two boys could want. Not to mention, Kevin promised to take him exploring, just as soon as they'd painted their eggs

They should be having fun.

Instead, Billy is getting scared...very scared.

The sun is falling, the shadows are growing longer, the woods that once seemed so ripe with the promise of adventure now seem pregnant with threat, and Kevin has been telling Billy a story. A local legend that has carried down for generations.

A tale of something ancient. Something evil. Something hungry.

It's time for Billy to learn what it means to live in such a tranquil town. What it requires of those who dwell amidst its serene confines. Sometimes, Billy will soon learn, you have to follow tradition if you want to fit in.

Or survive.

With Book 4 is the Razorblade Candies series, author Kyle M. Scott takes readers into the beating heart of small-town america, where past and present converge and tradition means everything, and where there are far worse things than death.
