Nothing is going the way they’d hoped.

The Group may be united again, but they’re still stumbling in the dark. They know what the Dark Knights want, but stopping it from happening is a whole other matter. Racing against time, they scour the globe to find the missing Lock and Key — the two final Tréaltha talismans that hold the power to keep Balgar and his armies locked inside the Drogue. If only they knew where to start looking. And if only their future didn’t rest in the shaking hands of Emma Shaw.

Blood ties Emma to the fate of the Tréaltha, but she knows she doesn’t have the strength to wield them. With the final battle looming before her, Emma must decide if she can be the Warden the Group needs.

Lock and Key is the explosive conclusion to M.A. Nichols’ Tréaltha Series.

Born and raised in Anchorage, M.A. Nichols is a lifelong Alaskan, though she briefly ventured south to get a fancy bachelor’s degree from Brigham Young University and a master’s degree from Utah State University—neither of which had anything to do with why she became an author, but they kept her alive while launching her publishing career.

As a child she despised reading, but thanks to her mother’s love and persistence, she saw the error of her ways and developed a deep and abiding obsession with books. Currently, she writes sweet historical romance and fantasy, but as a lover of many genres, she plans to explore more in the future.

I loved this book a lot. I can’t decide if I like this book better or the second. In this one it wraps it up all nicely and there is tons of excitement surprises. With the second again lots of excitement and you get to know Emma way better. Now enough with the second this review is about the finale and so I better start talking about it. In this book I like how the timeline is really close to the second. Something I really enjoyed about the book was how so many relationships were strengthened in this book or how we found out more about a character that were almost strangers to the readers before. My love for most of the characters for so much more partially because my time with them increased, as well ad the fact that we learned even more about them. I also liked instead of rehashing the past the author M.A Nichols included detailed summery about each of the previous book before the current book started. It caused so I wasn’t bored to death with facts I already knew, but instead gave the option to review things if needed. Overall I really enjoyed this book and would recommend it to anyone.

I loved it. It was more like a 4.5 for me than it was a 4. This book was the PERFECT end to the series. It wrapped up everything nicely and left you feeling satisfied with how it ended but still wishing with all your heart that there is more to come because you just can’t accept that its over. Its one of those series that once you finish it you just have no desire to read anything else because its not the series you just read. While I do wish there was more I know if there was another book it could never live up to originals.

I liked how Braydon though he has struggled throughout the book ended up becoming the best version of himself even though it was incredibly tough for him. I enjoyed watching both Emma and Annie grow during this series and they are obviously my favorite characters, though I don’t think I could decide between the two of them. After reading this series I would definitely that at some point I will read it again and would force my friends to read it as well.

***The Shadow Army Trilogy is an updated version of the Trealtha Series with new titles, new edits, and even some changes to the story itself.***

This series will always have a tender place in my heart. It was the first I ever published and was definitely a big learning experience. It was my first dip into the publishing world and has had a significant impact in my life... so, yeah. I love it.

That said, my first stab at the series wasn't as good as it should have been, so this is my second go of it and is a far better story because of it.
