I love all of Cheri Lewis's book but I think this might be my favorite. It is a tough choice between this one and Tanked but since I just finished this one, it wins. I love the depth of character and the strong relationship between Willow and Heath and the fact that we get to see development in their character or maybe I should call it healing. I also enjoyed that fact that one of her referrals came from Tank. It was only a cameo but I enjoy encountering old friends in new books.
Willow and Heath first encountered one another in foster care and maintained that brother/sister relationship. Their backgrounds have greatly influenced their lives to the point that neither completely trusts anyone else. Heath is a police officer and Willow is an ex-bounty hunter who is now a private investigator. Most of her jobs are pretty easy but some bring unexpected dangers. The new cop in town is a pain in her ass but there is something about him. It will take a long time, but I hope they establish a great relationship. Her cases are interesting, but it is the character interaction that I enjoy most in any book and that is one of Ms. Lewis's strength. I will be recommending Willow to my friends.
