Fire Born

City of Dragons #5

by Val St. Crowe

Penny Caspian again. Nine months pregnant. Big as a house. And there’s another serial killer loose in Sea City. This guy uses compulsion to kill his victims, forces them to do it themselves, and makes it look like a suicide. But my boyfriend Detective Lachlan Flint and I have uncovered his gruesome methods and are on his trail. As the bodies pile up, we know we have to stop him. What else? Oh, my cousin showed up, pregnant as well, disowned by my grandparents. An old flame of Felicity’s is driving a wedge between her and Jensen. And Lachlan and I are struggling with our vow not to share blood. We know that if we do, we’ll rekindle blood bond, and we aren’t going back to that darkness. But every time we touch, it tempts us. So… we’re not touching so much these days. And I miss touching him. I miss kissing him. I miss all of him.

OMG!!! Fire Born is absolutely amazing. You can feel the raw emotions throughout the entire story. The way the author writes this story you feel like you are one of the characters who ever you may associate with. This series is really addicting. I can't wait to read what is to happen next.

Excellent

I seriously enjoyed each of these books. I m looking forward to reading the next. These books were fascinating magical beings working with regular people you start to wander if all this is possible. I recommend if you enjoy books about magic and magical people you will love these.

The book was spent waiting for Penny to deliver her baby. To stay occupied, she and Lachlan work on a serial murder case, and Lachlan researches solutions to his son's fate of being a savior.

I liked the ending. It was better than the last book. I am glad the baby has finally been born. Lachlan takes too many risks.

Easy read.

Good for even young teens. The series keeps a person interested with all the characters in play. New stories can emerged from them and continue their own spin off series.
