Let me show you how southern boys do it . . .

I learned early that a fist or a smile could get me out of any situation, but it was my swing that got me into the big leagues. Now I'm in the spotlight, and the team's owner wants me to be their charity spokesman.

I only agree because the lady in charge is hotter than a picnic in hell on the Fourth of July.

Camille Rivers is the most stubborn woman I've met in my life. She's everything I should stay away from, but I can't keep my hands off her. Half the time I can't tell if she wants to kiss me or push me off the roof, but she stops complaining when I have her in my arms.

She wants her independence. I want a family. I say, let the best man win.

I really tried to like this book. I did....but with lines like this (and I have more, they just are inappropriate to post). I just couldn't:

"Oh yeah, I was more than happy to fil her up with baby batter:
"Oh yeah, I didn't just want to (have sexy times). I wanted to breed."
"Damn Cami, you're wilder than a raccoon on rabies."
"I wanted her, even after three loads of daddy ice cream."
"He kept telling me how long it had been since he had a good wank.'

I have never highlighted so many off the wall, not sexy, weird quotes in a book before. I get that Cade's character was supposed to be from the south, but really? Cade was an idiot, I couldn't like him at all. The way he talked in the book was just awful. No endearing qualities at all. Stupid backwoods caveman is how he came off in the book...not sexy alpha baseball player. I just couldn't.

Cami, good heavens, she started off an independent and smart woman, and wound up just as big an idiot as Cade. This book was bad, full of clichés, and quotes that literally made me go WTF is happening here. I read the whole book because I am like that, but I should have stopped. I should have stopped. Now I have to go find something else to read to cleanse my brain of this book. I wouldn't recommend, and I honestly don't understand how this got any five star ratings

“‘Don’t you know how long I’ve loved you? I never forgot you. I never wanted anybody else.’”

4 go big stars! Refreshingly fun and I fell hard!

Cade is a complete alpha, but he’s good at it and that makes him sexy! Cami was the perfect mix of sassy and sweet! I really liked the story and the relationship between these two, their story was fun and when I wasn’t laughing I was wiping the drool off the floor!! This is my first Joanna Blake book, but I know I am not done, I’ll be one clicking more of her books!

This book finished at around 30%, the remaining 70% is taken up with bonus books but I only read Go Big. I can't believe that I wasted my time on it, it was truly awful with derogatory language and behaviour that was appalling. Cade was meant to be an alpha male but the author got it completely wrong, he was an asshole and Camille wasn't likeable either so I certainly wouldn't recommend it.

I was given a copy in exchange for an honest review.

Having read many of Joanna Blake's stories, I always love to jump right in with a new hero and heroine that will have me tumbling head over heels in no time. Cade and Camille stole my heart from the first crack of the bat to the last home run. I loved every moment and couldn't wait to see what they were going to do next whether they were wagering a bet or being restrained to the bed, they kept me entertained! Cade and Camille are funny, passionate, and give us a new love for spoiled princesses and a mountain bred hottie. There is so much more to this book than running bases.

Cade Dupree is more than just your average backwater man. He grew up in the mountains with five younger siblings that he still helps to raise financially. When he gets the opportunity to play baseball in the majors, he knows his life and his family's is looking up. Once he meets the owner's daughter, he has more on his mind than just hitting a homerun. I absolutely loved Cade! He is the perfect combo of down to earth male with shattering good looks and dominating with "spank me a little more" yumminess. He has a heart of gold and it shows when the younger Duprees are around. He had me melting or combusting with every page.

Camille Rivers is entitled and temperamental but once the reader gets to know her we see the Camille hidden underneath the manicures and fancy dresses. She is intelligent with her investing know how, a philanthropist with all of her charitable work, and is always trying to prove her worth to her father even though she isn't the son that he always wanted. I love her saucy nature and the way Cade brings her to heel with passion but adores all of her qualities and doesn't try to change her.

Joanna Blake brought us another sports romance with a gorgeous hero that knows how to dominate as an athlete and in the bedroom. "Go Big" gives us a strapping hottie with a melt your panties southern twang that keeps the reader hot and bothered along with a heroine who brings a certain flair to their story. Not to be confused with "Go Long", which is a completely unrelated story also by Joanna Blake. I highly recommend for a romance that covers all the bases and hits it out of the park!

What a great read -- Cadewell Easton Dupree (Cade) is such an alpha male when it comes to anything-he does it rough , hard, long and intense- especially playing baseball which is how he met his love. He also does it with a smile on his face and in his voice. Camille Rivers (Cami) is a baseball princess whose father is the owner of the team that Cade plays for. Cami knows a lot about sports and uses that knowledge with her father’s players. Cade and Cami when in contact are like lit sparks—the connection is immediate and quick. At first Cami comes off as a spoiled brat when dealing with Cade but the more time they spend together, the more they start to really heat up. Now Cami acts like she dislikes Cade but suddenly she realizes she loves him.
Their relationship goes thru ups and downs, twists and turns-especially the really sexy parts but the ending was super sweet. I really enjoyed this story. The Joanna Blake experience is in this story and you wont be sorry reading Cade and Cami’s story.

This is a DNF for me. I made it a little more than halfway and just couldn't force myself to read more. Tons of absolutely ridiculous descriptions and inner dialogue.

This was just all wrong for me. I'm shocked at the number of 4 and 5 stars. Maybe it's just me...

I hate this but I have to give the book 21/2 stars. It just didn't do it for me and I was really excited especially after reading bender and when I read it was about a baseball player I had my fingers crossed. First things first I am not a big fan of Insta love at all. Not many can pull it off. I mean I have read a few that have but not many. It didn't have a lot of baseball In it and I love anything baseball. Cade was way beyond cocky and then you have Camille who is just a spoiled rich girl. It just all happened to fast for me. Not
Really enough back story or story period for
Me. Don't let this detour you though because we never read the same book. You may love it.

If all you want is pages and pages of sex scenes that in my opinion were not sexy at all, this is the book for you. The male lead, Cade was not a hot sexy alpha male to me, he was an overbearing male who believed that punishing his love with his sexual antics was borderline abusive. He behaved like an idiot.

DNF
I seriously finish every book but one other hoping for a redemption but there just isn't one.
Over the top and just didn't have any depth to draw you in. There was no plot and all it did was talk about how the hero just wanted to nail the heroin.
His reference to his privates as "Thor" just made me want to throw up.

I'm so happy that this was not the first book I read of Joanna Blake. Else I would have never read her books again. Seriously...!!!
This book is just too much. I didn't like the H and h. There's just too much sex and it's boring.
I still can't believe this is from Joanna Blake.

So funny

This book had me laughing out loud hysterically and getting strange looks from my family, it was that funny! I have 4 stars instead of 5 because there were storyline elements that could have been more explored.

I really enjoyed reading this book. I thought it was funny how Kayde was very arrogant towards Camille. And very hot and steamy moments throughout the book. It had me feeling hot and bothered. A must read

DNF, Wasn’t really liking the FMC, and then she smacked the MMC across the face, and yet another no. Seriously, if it isn’t okay for the man to hit the woman, then why do we think it is okay for the woman to hit the man…

Go Big by Joanna Blake

This is the story of Cade a rookie baseball player and Camille the daughter of the baseball team owner, told in joint POV, it's an exciting read. Included in Go Big is the Man Candy Trilogy from Joanna Blake, so this book is definitely worth the read. Having read a few from the author before I knew what to expect her books are always about alpha males and sassy female leads. Unlike a lot of erotic authors JB doesn't go straight to the wham bam insta love route. There is a build up to the leads 1st sexual encounter and nothing is ever plain sailing for the couple, She uses a plot and storyline in her writing along with hot eroticism.

Ok so I've told you that Cade is a rookie on a Baseball team What I haven't told you is that he is 'the Rookie', the next biggest thing and he knows it. A good ole boy that could play ball he gave up his chance to play baseball to go work on the rigs to earn money. Money that he sent home to take care of his younger brothers and sisters (can I get an aaawwwwwwwaaaahhhhh!) but the majors won't take no for an answer and he ends up on a top team. The daughter of a self made man Camille has it all a spoilt princess she's used to calling the shots.

When these 2 meet there's nothing but sparks and a game of cat and mouse as Cade stalks Camille (don't worry it's not the creepy heavy breathing phone calls or following on dark streets). It was a really hot read! I'm giving this book 4 stars it could have been 5 the story was there but there were a few cringe reading moments - I'm sorry JB but Baby Batter just gave me shudders and not the good kind.

Anyone that gave this more than 1 star is probably friends with the author or paid. This book was bad from the first to the last page. There were no redeeming qualities anywhere in the story. Brain melting bad. Horrible, immature, mind numbing, bad.

Go Big started off really strong with a sexy, arrogant hero and a sassy, brainy heroine who was not about to take his "I-am-God's-gift-to-womankind" BS. I liked that she wasn't the typical pure as the driven snow heroine that Ms. Blake and Alexa Riley have a tendency to write. Don't get me wrong, I don't mind those type of heroines AT ALL but Camille was a refreshing change. My only gripe was how quickly she did a 180 the minute she realized she was "in luv" with Cade. I mean she just instantly became this passive little nincompoop, it was a bit disheartening. I mean I didn't expect her to fight her attraction to him FOREVER (I mean the "gettin' together" part is the whole point of romance, ain't it?) but it would have been nice to see a gradual compromise between the two of them instead of one just seeming to roll-over and play pet to the other. I don't expect a ton of realism in my romance novels but the last few chapters had me wanting to throw my Kindle across the room. That being said, I did enjoy the first 50-60% of the story and there were several literal LOL moments for me so I can't completely write it off. I liked it, I just didn't LUV it.

I received this ARC in exchange for an honest review...The story starts out with the H,Cade Dupree, working on an oil rig to make money to provide for his siblings when he is offered a shot at MLB. He takes his chance and that is when he meets the team owner's daughter, Camille Rivers, the h. Camille starts out as a bit of a snob, or so it seems, but as the story progresses I think her exterior is more of a shield to protect herself from being hurt. Once Cade sets his sights on Camille he never loses focus, but he ends up wanting more than a fling, he wants to keep her. His ways are a bit devious at first, planning to trap her with pregnancy, but after some missteps and miscommunications, they have their HEA. I disagree with others who say Camille was too submissive. It did seem her personality turn around was too quick, but I think maybe someone who was over the top dominant alpha was what she really needed all along. This story had plenty of sexy times, light BDSM and a H & h that truly found what they needed in each others' arms. It was a quick, but satisfying read that I would definitely recommend.

I really like this author's take on the strong woman vs the dominant alpha male athlete...it's funny, sexy and filled with just enough backstory drama (ex lovers, dysfunctional family and life working against them) to keep things interesting and exciting. Go Big is a baseball book ( I LOVE baseball)...Cade is one horny, non-stop action kind of "player" who meets his match in his team owner's daughter. Camille is bossy, feisty and knows who and what she wants and until she figures out it's Cade, there's a lot of sexual tension and game playing (that is NOT on the baseball diamond). I really enjoyed this book for the most part...a few small issues kept me not as in love with it as previous books but I still really had a good time reading and that's what it's all about for me...interesting characters, comedic twists and a lot of seriously steamy action. Go big or go home!

LOVE! LOVE! LOVE!! That's best way to start this review! I always read a Joanna book and think, this is my favorite, then I read her next one and BAM! She outdid her last book. And this was no exception. I loved Cade and Camille the BEST! THE BEST! What more could I have wanted?? Cade was pure, hot alpha, and he knew what he wanted and he always made sure he got it. Cade also had a sweet side that I loved, he was perfect! And Camille? Yeah Camille was one feisty girl, but that's who we all want to be, sassy, smart mouthed, and need put in our place. Boy did Cade put her in her place, and she loved it after she let go and realized she needed him. The thing I loved the most about her was she was feisty and sassy and she let her guard down for a bit but she didn't lose herself. Great story and I can't wait for the next Joanna book!

So Much Fun!

I really enjoyed reading Go Big! Cade was one hunk of an alpha male. He had my head spinning with his dominant, yet sexy fun demeanour. The banter between Cade and Camille was hot to say the least. The southern boy who grew up struggling both financially and otherwise, versus the aristocratic rich girl cold as ice determined to leave Cade taking lots of cold showers. His popularity as a superstar athlete, sex appeal, and appetite for domination in the bedroom was off the charts. This guy had me fanning myself one minute, then laughing at his southern metaphors the next. He was definitely one man who did not know the meaning of the word NO! It's a good thing he was a great hitter, because every time the bat cracked it help relieve the tension the man was causing me by being so incredibly irresistible. It was a fun and very sexy read.

Eehh

So there was good and bad. At the beginning I was really into the book. I didn't like Cami all that much because she was a spoiled b**** but I did like that she didn't take crap and didn't give up easy. From the beginning I really liked Cade, he just seemed sweet and really wanted Cami. Then things got weird for me. Suddenly Cade became dominant and Cami was a little sissy submissive. She lost her spark. Her fight. It really pissed me off that when Cade actually found out his planned worked, he left her! Then didn't even feel bad or apologize. He got what he wanted all along then just made her feel like complete carp. Idk it just kinda turned my off about half way. But the beginning was real good and it has a nice HEA. SO yeah. Lol

I’ve heard about the dirty south but now I wonder if they were talking about Cade Dupree and his filthy filthy mouth. His is the ultimate alpha caveman and has meet his match when he sees Camille Rivers. She is the daughter of the owner of the Baseball team he recently joined.

The sex is hot sexy and dirty but nothing and I mean nothing compares to how Cade is. He really is a lovable cavemen/bear once you get over his ego and confidence but that is part of the appeal to this dirty bout from the south. He will have you creaming and screaming his name and maybe even make you pass out just like Camille did.

Cade is on an oil rig and gets recruited for a baseball team. He is called the Wrecker, he is a strong hitter and a shortstop. The first thing he sees when he gets on the field is Camille and he wants her. He pursues her but she tries to refuse him but since her father owns the team she knows she has to keep Cade happy. After a while, she gives into both of their desires and ends up pregnant. Before she is even able to tell him she comes across some difficult news and runs from him. He then chases her.

This a great HEA with steamy scenes (even some with revenge but no harming) and lots of love.

Cade is like the damn energizer bunny, he keeps going and going, "that's when Thor started to stir again. I grinned. Yep. No reason to wait for round three with this beauty beneath me. She was a bona fide hard on factory. Boners on demand. Ready to ship. Quality assured." Cade sure knows how to drive his woman bonkers, "a wildcat then. Raccoons are a little too crazy for my taste. They are cute though. And they got thumbs!" He was really infuriating. Making jokes when I was trying to recover from his powerful sport effing. He was really lording it over me." I liked this book, I loved Cade.
