This is Janae Keyes' best book yet! You will be sucked into the story of young artist Taylor as she journeys across the ocean to England and the Manor of the elusive Lord Nathaniel Branagan. You'll fall in love with his hired help, Anne and most of all Langston! I am not usually a reader of BDSM, but I think this is tastefully done in a way that it doesn't feel like a genre book, but a story that can appeal to anyone. I cannot wait for "Dirty Little Secret," the sequel to this book!

It pull me in

First thing I have to say about this book is in needs of proofreading. There are many spelling and grammar errors. It's takes away from the moment when you have to re read a part.

I read this book in a day and it pulled me in.
Taylor is a sweet girl who allows her heart to get her in to things deeper and faster than most would. I would have to say this is due to her age. She did see she was moving fast but wasn't worried on the matter.

Nate is a man who likes control because he lacks it in his personal life. He doesn't feel free to live his life like he would want to. This is due to his parents and up bringing. I see this will lead to trouble in the near future.

I like this couple together but I fear it is all for not. Overall, I give this 4 stars. For heat, drama, and plot.

This is my first read by Janae Keyes and I honestly was hoping to enjoy it more. The plot was good, the blurb was intriguing and the writing was good, but the characters didn’t work for me.

Taylor is an up and coming artist, her work is her passion. Unfortunately her parents don’t believe being an artist is a ‘real job’, so in an attempt to please them, and herself, she agrees to go to London to commission some work for a Lord. I didn’t love Taylor, while at times she was a fun character, I just didn’t connect to her.

Nathaniel is a wealthy, attractive and rude, to say the least. He keeps people at a distance and Taylor tries her hardest to break through. I saw why Nate pushed Taylor away at first, but again, I just didn’t connect to him or their relationship.

As I said, this book had all of the elements to be a five star read for me, I especially loved the light bdsm theme. The writing was really good, which is one of the main things that kept me going to the end, and I was interested to see where the storyline went. However, the ending does leave something to be desired. I typically do not read stories that don’t have complete closure to them, so without giving too much away, I’ll say this book didn’t have the closure I was looking for.

Overall, I would recommend this book to others, I don’t think by any means is it a ‘bad read’, I just did not connect with the characters. However, I am interested to read the next installment to see how this story ends. I would love to make that connection to these characters, everything else was really good and had potential to make an amazing book.

****SOME SPOILERS****

This is the first novel I have read by this author and I loved it. There are loads of hot sex dominant scenes and a great story to go with loads of lovable character's.

Taylor is a struggling artist living in cheap shared rental in the USA. She has been put under pressure by her parents mainly her mother to give up her art and to be more like her sister that always done what was expected of her. Luckily Taylor never listened to them if she had she would never have had the opportunity to work for someone in the UK. She never expected to be working for Lord Nathaniel Branagan. She doesn't see him much at first because he's a workaholic and keeps himself out of the spotlight of others. When she does she thinks he's a scruffy arrogant ass, she stands up for herself and tells him what she thinks. As time goes on her feelings for him shift as she gets to know the real man not the facade that he likes to show other people. She never expected to have the most amazing sex of her life and be treated so good by him. But they are worlds apart he's a Lord and there are going to be lots of expectations placed on his shoulders.

Can a relationship really continue between them with all the differences between their lifestyles?

Will Taylor stay in the UK if Nate asks her to?

Or will the choice be taken away from them both?

This was my first reading anything by Janae Keyes, and I must say that I thoroughly enjoyed this great story. Ms Keyes has given us a story that will suck you in and take you on a journey with young Taylor's trip across the ocean to England to Lord Nathaniel Branagan Manor. Nathaniel has hired Taylor to make some art for him . Taylor is strong with some insecurities and like most women all around the world that struggles with being unsure of their places ,who fight to find it, while staying true to themselves . Nathaniel was quite endearing for the most part ,and he was unconventional and comprehensive by trying to always doing right by sweet Taylor ,while trying to protect his own heart. Ms Keyes imagination is amazing in this book and the storyline and her plots are dead on,and she has create a magical world that will have us feeling like we're part of the story. Taylor and Nate are such funny characters ,(it took me awhile to get use to Nate but when I did I really enjoyed reading about him). I could tell you more about this story, but that would spoil it for you. I highly recommend that you read this story, you won't be disappointed .

This was my first read by this author and for the most part I enjoyed the story. I liked that Taylor isn't pretentious and keeps it real, but not in a hoodrat way. She's following her dream of being an artist, much to the dismay of her parents, but she's still respectful towards her parents and not acting like a spoiled brat.

Nate on the other hand, seems to be a mess, probably because of his childhood and his parents. He's feeling stifled with his life, but when you're raised a certain way and there are expectations placed on you, what can you do? I mean yeah, you could be an adult on stand on your own two feet, but then we wouldn't have this story.

The chemistry between Taylor and Nate is pretty hot and electric, but we also get the emotional aspect of their impending relationship. Is Taylor moving too fast? Yeah, and she even acknowledges it. But she's 23, still young enough to make these impetuous decisions. But is there a chance of happiness with Nate? Well, I guess I need to grab book 2 and find out since this ends on a cliffhanger!

Warning: This book ends on a cliffhanger which isn't noted by the author in the synopsis. Dirty Little Secrets - Book 2 is now available and also ends on a unmentioned cliffhanger. All Tied Up -Book 3 (Coming Soon) ... fingers crossed that this is the conclusion of the story.

Now on to my review for Champagne Bubbles & Lipstick (Book 1) ...

Taylor Walker is a struggling 23-year old artist in San Francisco living with four roommates when she gets the call of a lifetime. Lord Nathaniel Branagan wants her to come to England for three months to create 10 paintings for $1.5 million dollars. Nathaniel is a rude workaholic and Taylor is caught bad-mouthing him on more than one occasion. He likes her spunk and they connect through the knowledge that their parents have each set high expectations for them -- which at times seem impossible to live up to.

Soon the pair are caught up in a love affair that explodes and Taylor is left picking up the pieces of her broken heart when she finds out that Nathaniel has been promised to another.

As always, I'm completely blown away by the imagination that's put into Janae's books. Her story line and plot details are spot on, and create a world that I literally feel apart of. I read this book in 4 hours, and I couldn't put it down. Taylor and Nate are such fun characters (Well, Nate takes some getting used to ;) ), who I could relate to in some aspects, while dreaming about being in their world! And the end?!! Oh God, you'll never see it coming!!! I can't wait for book 2

Trust me when I say you won't be disappointed by purchasing and reading this book. It's absolutely amazing! I can't wait to see what else Janae puts out in the future. Will be a long time reader of this author. That's a definite!

What an amazing read. I absolutely loved the extremely well written, heart grabbing storyline. The characters, main as well as supporting, were so very well written that you could not help but fall in love with them. You just know, as you read the story of Nathaniel and Taylor, that their HEA is coming and it will be epic. Alas, things may not be quite as they seem as family duty and his title could very well put an end to their romance. It is really an epic tale and one that you will want to see to the end when the story continues with the next book.

Wonderful story, very well, tastefully written BDSM scenes, extremely lovable characters and one book that I highly recommend. Great job to this author!

Not your mommy's 50 Shafes

Janae has a way with words, writing to the heart and the imagination without having to write filthy expletives to get the heart pumping or the mid racing. With thoughtful pop culture references and a slow but safe venturing into the bdsm culture she writes from the perspective of a beginner and a player in the subculture of the game. Keeping you on the edge as she draws you into Control Freak Branagan and Taylor's relationship only to drop you down to bring you back up this book is full of surprises and I am eagerly awaiting the next installment.

Wow!
I really enjoyed this book and the characters described in it.

Meet Taylor who gets hired by a "lord" to paint some painting for his home in England. I really enjoyed Taylor's character and enjoyed the storyline of the book. The books felt so real and I felt all the emotions the characters felt. The ending was very unexpected and I'm totally looking forward to reading the sequel of this book.

This was the first BDSM type book I've read and really enjoyed the story line.

This is the first book I have read by this author and wasn't disappointed. This was a HOT read although in the beginning I was a little worried. Early on I was a bit confused on the time, example, something happened one morning. It went on and said days later then back to that same day. Other than that, this book was awesome! Can't wait for book 2!!

Taylor is a very talented young woman and when she is given the opportunity of a lifetime who wouldn't take it right?. Her art is captivating as Nate discovered for himself and wanted to see more. The story flowed beautifully and I was aching to see someone make a move, I wanted to grab them by the shoulders and yell to take the leap. Seeing Nate in all his forms is not everyone's cup of tea but Taylor embraces all the good, bad and ugly. We get a taste of Nate's other interests and then BAM we're hit with a twist I did not see coming and I was left with my jaw dropped thinking "are you kidding me?". This is such a good cliffhanger and lucky for us book 2 is already released and I'm jumping right in because WOW, yeah their story is that good. This is my unbiased and voluntary review.

A good read

I knew Nate was holding back when it came to his attraction towards Taylor. His first reaction to her resulting Taylor to take him head on, showing no fear when it came to his attitude. She wasn't going to bow down to Lord Nathaniel Branagan. There's more to Taylor that meets the eye. One that disturbs me is Nate had the nerve to express to Taylor that there must be honesty in their relationship knowing very well he himself possessed a secret he wasn't willing to share with Taylor. Did he honestly believe Taylor wasn't going to find out his parent's requests for him? I adored the characters, love the description of the scenes and Wonderful storyline. I can only hope Taylor is able to move on from his deceit. Can't wait for the second book in the series.

Cliffhanger that left my broken

This was a awesome read. You have Taylor. She is a starving artist who is given an opportunity of a lifetime. She is given a chance to jump start her career per say and work for Lord Nate.

Nate is a Lord whom just wants to make his own way. He likes to stay to himself and love his privacy. The magic that is made with them too together. Wow. Off to read book 2! Kudos to Janae. I recommend all of her work because every book she writes captures you and takes you on a ride. Very vivid.

As a starving artist, the chance of a lifetime comes along in the most unexpected way. After packing up and moving halfway across the world, not only did she find the perfect job, but she found love. Although he didn't seem to feel the same way. Family obligations stood in his way of having his happily ever after. I laughed, cried, and felt all the emotions that I read. I will soon be reading the next book to find out the ending and can't wait.
