This is book 24 in the series. You will want to read the first short story, The Gathering, for the background information on the Muir witch before you start the rest of the series. After that, each one can be read as a standalone.
Although this no the typical love story that each of the Culloden 79 ghosties👻 are getting, it is a about being loved.
I enjoyed this story.
Morey Fraser is a buglar who found himself on the wrong side of the war. Against his wishes he had no choice. As a young man he learned very quickly that even though he did not have a choice of being there he did have a choice to help those that remained. His vow to stay with the 79, is his way of finally getting to make his own choices.
I read with KU.

What would be your deepest heart’s wish?
This is a wonderful story of self-discovery and agape love...of decency...of recognition...of kinship...of growth...of understanding. I am glad I read it. Highly recommend.

This is different, it's written in a very different style than any other I've read so far. It's about the bugler that played for the wrong side but still rose with the seventy nine. A great story but still sad.

Beats to a different song
The Bugler is not your typical story. The twist is he is not among the 79. It's interesting in this story that we find clues about #79 and the wee switch.

Heartwarming
The story started a tad slow but quickly caught up and increase lovely tale of redemption and love. Touching and warm novella.

Absolutely beautiful! Both heartwarming and heartwrenching (but don't worry - no sad tears!) A wonderful addition to Culloden's 79, a "number 80" if you will, and probably my favorite so far!

Welcome Tale
In this series, there are 79 Jacobite ghosts who remain on t by e battlefield of Culledon Moor. Thanks to a little Muir magic, they get an opportunity to end their haunting. In the backgound is the Bugler, not really part of the 79 yet his presece binds them together. This is his story. Ir is a welcome addition to those that have come before. This is an enjoyable and fascinating series. There is just one problem. . . the authors need to write faster. . . I can hardly wait for the next tale to be available. Thanks for sharing your talents.

So Sweet
The witch gave him the best thing ever. Just knowing the truth about how his father had actually left him brought him the peace he didn't think he would ever have. Great storyline. Always looking forward to seeing the next highlander get his just reward.
