2.5 ✨
The writing in this one felt rushed in such a way that parts of it were a bit confusing, and other times the facts/parts of the plot were annoyingly inconsistent. 🤷🏻♀️
*also, I have NO idea how this book is 311 pages when the audiobook is only 2 and a half hours or so 😳. And I can’t seem to make a connection to why the title is “Swollen”… oh well, this just wasn’t for me I guess…

Finally, what a break for her writing career. Wouldn't you know, the fighter introduced as the Cobra turned out to be Liam.
Liam has been thinking of Jasmine and biding his time hoping to be able to quit fighting so he can have her. It wouldn't have been fair to drag her into his problems, but now she's seen him and knows the worst about his situation. A situation that should end this year.

They may as well have been playing I've got a secret. They both have been keeping secrets for the past year.
Jasmine tried in the beginning, but had nothing to go on once she found he moved- moved on too?
I was caught up in these two as they met under the strangest circumstances, but hot elements of sexy, danger that could be deadly, sadness, and ?, and an HEA???
Wowee. 5 Stars (read it twice).

Liam is an open fist underground fighter. He’s pretty good at it, and works at this job to make money and pay off his debts. He only wants a woman in his life , a good lady. Jasmine is a waitress who is trying to survive her life. These two end up meeting one dark night when Jasmine was going home after work one night and get attacked by 3 men .He ends up saving her. They end up having this one night stand and that one night ends up changing Jasmine’s life forever. There are many twists and turns. She tries to find Liam to let him know this huge change but she cannot find him until later and then…well you have to read to find out how things turn out.
This is a fast pace, always changing story with two good MC who are passionate, exciting and energetic. I wish there was more ending but it is a good story as it is and I cannot wait to read more like this.

Liam is an open fist underground fighter. He is good at it, slowly paying off his debts but longs to retire with a good woman. Jasmine is a waitress just trying to survive. One dark night she is accosted by three men and Liam just happened to see them and saved her bacon. They come together in a one night stand and set the stage for life changing events. Very entertaining short story. One gets caught up in Jasmine & Liam's dilemma. I was given an ARC in exchange for an honest review. Five stars.

This is the love story of Jasmine and Liam. Liam saved Jasmine from some men that were harassing her. Then she did something that she doesn't usually do, sleep with him. And what made it worse, there was no condom used and because this was meant to be a one-time thing, she got pregnant and Liam didn't know. Time has past and Jasmine is working on a story about underground fighting and does the very thing that Liam tried to keep from her, finds him in the ring. This was a good storyline, the characters, sexual tension, and sex scenes were good. This was a good reads.

This was my first Stephanie Brother's book. This is a short story and despite that, the author has done a great job to develop the story. The main characters, Liam and Jasmine, are great together and they share a strong chemistry. I appreciate that the author did not add dramas to the story. This was a sweet and well written story and I enjoyed my listening. The narration was well done and easy to listen. I received this free review copy at my request and I have voluntarily left this review.

DID NOT LIKE IT
I didn't like this book. To me it seemed to drag on and on. In my opinion the only good thing about it is the sex. I'm sorry but I cannot recommend this book.

first book by this author i loved it hopefully other books are also as amazing as this one. the characters and story plot was great though it was short but it was amazing...

Short, entertaining 3.5 stars
Swollen is written in alternating POV, so we feel some of the turmoil and emotions of each of the main characters. It’s very fast paced, and characterization is fairly light. Though there’s attraction and desire between Jasmine and Liam. Their one night together results Jasmine getting pregnant with Liam’s baby. When Liam finally out about his daughter after one year, he’s overwhelmed. As Liam’s always been a loner, he finally finds the possibility of love and family with Jasmine, and it’s what Liam has ever wanted.
I don’t know if it is reasonable to think a secret baby is enough to warrant an HEA, but this novella length story had potential, just wish it was longer with more meat to it. Thank goodness for the epilogue, it brought it all together.

I really enjoyed this story! It was well written and I enjoyed the characters. The story happens pretty quickly and it wasn't a super long read for me. There are a few twists involved, though not very many. Liam is an underground fighter and Jasmine is working as a waitress as she tries to get her writing career going. They meet and Liam saves her from a bad situation and then later shows up and things escalate quickly from there. They have their one night and Jasmine is left with a present after that. A year later they finally meet again. They have to figure out if they still have something and how it all fits together. I thought the story was well done and really enjoyed the ending. It was wrapped up very nicely for me with the epilogue and that really finished off the story.

This long novella is pretty good. Sexy, well written with two honest characters and good dialogues.
Liam is a barefist fighter with a lot of mistakes in his past, but I liked how he was really mending his ways for a long time now. He's intent on freeing himself from all his burdens, and he's got a noble heart.
An imperfect yet strong and reliable man that the heroine is hoping will be up to the challenge of love and family. I appreciated that both characters took the responsibility of babies very seriously and approached it with care and reason. That was realistic.
I also liked to read the descriptions of the ring fights. They were interesting and felt accurate.
I think this story is a safe bet if you fancy a good combination of heat and modern-life romance. Yes, the heat is plenty and fantastic ;-)

Jasmine is a waitress and aspiring writer who is rescued from an attack by Liam. A month after the almost attack, Liam comes back to see Jasmine and they spend an amazing night together. A year later, Jasmine runs into Liam again fighting in an underground fight she's writing an article about. He fights to pay back a debt he owes to the mafia. Their reunion is nice, but Jasmine has a secret that is going to change Liam's life. It's a good secret though, a secret named Maggie, their adorable baby girl.
Swollen was sexy and kind of sweet. It was a little too short for me, so didn't allow the characters and story to develop as much as I would have liked, but it was still entertaining and well written.

Liam Dougherty (Cobra) is a great illegal bare fist fighter trying to repay a debt owed to a crime organization. Jasmine is a waitress and working her way to payoff her college debt. Liam rescues Jasmine one night and become sex partners but she became pregnant with Maggie but hesitated to tell Liam. I don't feel like we got to witness enough of the relationship buildup to make me invested in the couple. The book took several directions which I thought was extremely unique and totally different from the author other novels; however, I have no intention of spoiling your reading pleasure.

Swollen is another great read by one of my favorite authors . This is Liam & Jasmine's story .

They 're having a one night stand. When she finds out she's pregnant she can't find him nowhere to tell .....
I never expected to fall into "Swollen" so easily and be so totally sucked into this wonderful story .

A quick, fast paced read.
After reading the blurb I was excited to start reading this one, it sounded interesting, but once I finished I wasn't quite sure what to make of it. I didn’t exactly dislike it but it wasn’t a really liked book either, so I guess it was okay.
I liked the characters, Liam and Jasmine, and some of the scenes between them were hot. Even though it is a short book I liked how Liam’s background was told and how it gave us readers an insight to what had happened to him before.

Holy hotness. Quick sexy read about good girl that was saved by a bad boy and the sexy hotness begins. Loved the POV from both H/h. After one night of the best sex we jump one year later, fate always has a strange way to re unite people. The raw passion and connection both of them feel never left and drew them back together even after the long break. Now that is fate, karma whatever you want to call it, working at it's best.

A short read, this in not a favorite of mine from Stephanie Brother. While I like sex in my stories, I need a plot and some substance. For me, it was missing in "Swollen". It was rushed from beginning to end with nothing but sex on the page. I found more of a story when Liam was talking to the guy he owed money to. Thank you to the author for gifting me with a copy of "Swollen" and asking my honest opinion. This is mine. 2.75 Stars...

I love these kind of books. Two people get together for a one night stand and get more than they bargain for. Then comes the drama of all kinds. And it is a hot male to boot. Love those parts too. It sure keeps your attention. I recommend it. I was given an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Stephanie Brother gives her readers what they want and so much more... regret, secrets, forgiveness, second chances, turmoil, and ultimately, love and a HEA. Swollen is a great story that grabs you at the beginning and doesn't let you go until you've read the final page.

Swollen is a short book.
I will not comment on the other books because I did not read them only Swollen because that was the book I ordered for. It was just to short. You don't have a one night stand then a year later you see each other again then a few days later it's I love you. You can start to feel something there but then the nook is over. A little bummed.

Loved the story of Liam and Jasmine. Jasmine is a strong,determine women who finally gets the happily ever after she deserves. Liam has been through so much and he finally gets the family that means everything to him.

The story was so short it wasn't worth the price. It would of made a real good story if it was longer. I liked the characters and the fact Liam stood up for his baby and the mother. False advertising!

Swollen was a great short audio book. I listened in one sitting once I started I could not stop. The characters and story line were good. It was hot and sexy. Read this book to find out what secrets Liam and Jasmine are hiding.
