About the Author Elizabeth completed her first devotional book at age eighty-seven. She's also published articles, poems, children’s stories during her sixty-some years of writing. Here second devotional book, Dare to Devotions for Those Full of Years , released in 2015 when Betty was 92. It's never too late to chase your dream.
The Author made me smile, chuckle, laugh out loud and shed tears as I read the devotions. Aging is wonderful in many ways, yet challenging as well. Society seems to forget the mature population, hearing friends often remark of feeling invisible. The Author painted a positive and uplifting picture with shades of reality we face daily regarding aging, therefore I rated this book with 5 stars. The Author brought the scripture passage Isaiah 46:4 clearly to mind as I read this book. I certainly recommend this book to all the older but bolder reader out there, a light but meaningful read.
This was a wonderful collection of devotionals for "older adults". Mrs. Van Liere delves into subjects pertinent to us as we age: the aches & pains, loss of friends, getting ready for our own death.
Well written, often humorous, a great book for anyone who is feeling the effects of age & how to deal with those with God's guidance.
