I am a wife, mother, child chauffeur and author. I love being able to create different characters and spin a web that makes them come together in the end. My books do not stick to just one genre, they span many.

I write about things that are real life situations and fairy tales are not always smooth sailing. My MC books are hard and gritty and they have struggles just like you would in life.

I also have books that are not so in your face. There are several that are good love stories that are fraught with issues that the characters have to deal with.

H is a manwhore bad rockstar. The h is a poor girl.
The H’s manager assigns him a pretend gf, the h.
H is very rude to her at first. He even states that she is not hot enough for him.
Anyways she is appointed his pretend gf. He is asshole to her (almost everyone). But he gets horny by her. So he masturbates in front of her and forcefully makes her watch it. She gets horny by this. Then later on she begs him to f*ck her.
She is super horny and does dirty things.
Sorry I don’t like such heroines.
I’m out of this.

Rented by Him was a good book. It was hot as hell. I love rockers, but Erin Trejo shows more than just the rocker lifestyle.

I loved Cali's spit fire personality. she took no BS, and stood up for self time and time again. She had her demons, but who doesn't.

I really enjoyed the book. excited to see what Erin Trejo has coming next. I definitely recommend.

This was my first Erin Trejo book and I enjoyed it. It was not your normal rockstar romance. It had, lots of banter with the main characters. Erin definitely has a way of defining her characters in this book.

Cali is barely making ends meat. She currently lives with her friends and feels like she needs to do something. She grew up in Chicago and her family really did not want her. So when the chance for her to really spread her wings presented itself, she took it. Now she needs to find a better job than her current one. Cali definitely doesn't take crap from anyone and she stands on her own. She is fiery and knows how to give back.

Tristan is a bad boy lead singer of Scars. He is crude, foul mouthed, and dangerous. He has had many "girlfriends" in the past. So much so that it's starting to taint his image. Tristan has a short fused temper and everything sets him off. Tristan is not a big fan of change and doesn't easily comply when told to do something different.

Cali's best friend, Heidi, sets her up for an interview. When Cali goes to it, she discovers the job is to pretend to be a rockstar's girlfriend. She is advised his image needs a revamping and the price for it exceeds Cali's expectations. Tristan wants nothing to do with what his manager sets up for him. After his manager lays down the law about him and his career, Tristan tune changes. Cali and Tristan are similar when it comes to their attitudes, they both will not back down. So they set off on tour.

Can Cali survive with Tristan for 6 months? Does Tristan push her away? Or will he finally realize she really is great for him?

This book will keep you reading to see where Erin will take these two. The bandmates are very comical relief to the book. I would recommend this book if you are looking for a steamy rockstar romance.

~~~~~~~~~~Tracy's ★★★★★ Review~~~~~~~~~~~
Cali is struggling day to day just to make rent every month and her friend sets her up with a job that will fix all her money problems. Harry wants to hire her to be a girlfriend to a troubled rock star that needs to fix his image. She agrees and gives up the next six months of her life. Tristan doesn't want a rent-a-chick as a girlfriend and he hates this idea. Harry tells him he has to do it or they may never recover his image. He is quick to anger and wants no part of this. She is everything of what he wants. Cali and Tristan butt heads and find the buttons to push on each other. They can't seem to stand each other but they both want each other desperately. With all the stress of the tour, publicity and the push/pull of their wants, will they make it a week let alone six months? Will this big the biggest mistake of both their lives or the best thing that ever happens?
This book left me guessing as to what would happen next between Tristan and Cali. They are both strong and stubborn characters that don't like to back down. This made for some very interesting moments. Then you have Franky who is Tristan's friend and it seems he is trying to move in on Cali. This all just heightened the story. I loved these characters and I have to admit to crying at the end of it all. This book is a rollercoaster ride that I didn't want off. I wanted to hate Tristan but when I really saw inside him, I understood and loved him. Cali is perfect in her imperfections. I would love more of these characters as they are just so rememberable. Definitely a book I will read again. Great job Erin Trejo, I am becoming a serious fan of your work.
Callie is in need of a job, so her friend sets her up with an interview. She is blown away with the offer she is made. $10k every month for 6 months to pretend to date a rock star.
Tristan is an arrogant peice of work who's history with women isn't so great.
What he didnt expect is for Callie his rented girlfriend to call him up on his BS.
The banter between the two is great.
Great read
A very disjointed writing style almost made this done before story totally unreadable - I kept thinking that this could have been a really good read if the Author wasn't all over the place with her style. It seems that the message, albeit and important one, was the crux of the book no matter what it took to get it out there. A shame
What a great story! No one is perfect. That thread runs deep in this amazing story. No matter how flawed we are all capable and worthy of love. Priceless.
I love Tristan and Cali story. At first I couldn’t stand Tristan and wanted to strangle him but Erin has a way that you fall in love with the characters.
This book takes you on a emotional roller coast ride with anger, sadness, tears, love and happiness. I loved reading Rented by Him and looking forward to reading more of Erin’s books.
Cali was offered a job of a lifetime. Or so she thought. 10,000 a month for six month surely she can put up with being a hired girlfriend. She is to be a paid girlfriend to a famous singer in a rock band. Tristan has seemed to gotten himself in quite a pickle this time. The reason for hiring the girlfriend. Both have pasts and both don't trust to well. While on the road Cali starts to change. Tristan see's the changes as do all the other band members.
I really enjoyed this story. It was easy to keep up with and follow. The character build was good. I enjoyed the other characters in this book. Especially Franky, the drummer. I am hoping the author did a thorough editing job before this ARC was released. There were so many misspelled and missing words. Normally I see a warning saying this is not the final draft so not to review on that.
It's been a while since i read a anything by Erin and I'm seriously questioning why. I loved her MC books and this is no different. Every book I have come across from Erin has sucked me in. And that is exactly what Rented by Him did, it sucked me in from page one.
Cali is struggling to find where she belongs having moved from Chicago to California with 2 of her friends and living with them. She didn't come from a family of money but shes doing the best she can. Her friend Heidi sets her up with an interview with Harry. Well when Harry tells her the job and how much she would make she jumps at it.. I mean how hard can it be to be a Rockstars "fake" girlfriend for six months? Cali is about to find out.
Tristan has a lot of issues mostly being a cocky jerk. When Cali steps on the bus Tristan isnt shy to the fact he wants nothing to do with Rent-a-chick. she isnt his type in any way shape or form. They both butt heads and challenge one another. But while they cant stand one another they are both fighting an insane attraction.
Can they go the 6 months without killing one another? Can they fight the fire that is brewing between them or will they succumb to it and both get burned in the end?
Find out today in this Rockstar read that yes shows you a bit of the rockstar life but is more about the romance than anything.
Rented by Him is a bit of a rags to riches love story with some Cinderella undertones. Not only is this book entertaining, but it also touches on the topic of mental illness. Kudos to Erin Trejo for encompassing this topic and treating with realistic scenarios and outcome.
Cali has never had anything handed to her in her young life. She has been abused and used. Luckily for her she found some great friends. Trying to make ends meet, Cali is offered a great job opportunity. All she has to do is pose as a rock star's girlfriend for 6 months. Easy. Right?
Tristan is your typical rock star. Hot, rich, and a bit of a spoiled jerk. He gets himself in hot water and his manager has to clean up his mess. Tristan isn't happy with the solution to his current problem. A hired girl to pose as his girlfriend. She is everything that he doesn't go for in a girl. What was his manager thinking?
I enjoyed Rented by Him. The book was fun to read. Cali was a very sassy character. She did not take any garbage from any of the other characters. Tristan came off as a major jerk at the beginning but redeemed himself towards the end. I loved the family feel that the characters had and felt that the characters grew as the story was told. A good read.
I always enjoy reading a book from Mrs. Trejo, whether it be her bad boy bikers to her bad boy rockers.
I wasn't sure what to think of Tristan at first. He was your typical co(ky, over inflated ego rocker that had a bad attitude. But as the story went on you could tell there was much more to him.
I actually really liked Cali, which is different for me. She was smart, sweet, independent, funny, and sassy. She definitely knew how to give as good as she got. My heart also broke for what she goes through.
I really enjoyed this book it was a little bit different from other rocker books. Instead of just being about the lifestyle, it dove into the emotional side of the characters. Both Tristan and Cali have difficult past and presents their going through. They both were dealing with demons.
I'm giving this book 4 Stars out of 5!!!!
***I received a copy of this book from the author for my honest opinion***
Tristan was was a playboy rocker who was in deep doodoo because of his temper, Cali is broke and living hand to foot. When Cali shows up for the job of rented girlfriend there are fireworks and I don't mean the insta love ones. What follows is each finding their own own place in their relationship which is complicated because they just can't figure out if it's real or a job. The author delicately handles the seriousness of the secrets Cali had that can easily blow this relationship out of the water.The revelation and handling is well done if not shocking. IF they can't work around it and the jealousies they just may have a winner.
Love the band members and how they supported these two in the own special way and of course can't leave out Heidi to round out great supporting characters. Even though Tristan and Cali are definitely passionate with lots of steamy scenes they show depth as well. Well done.
Tristan typical bad boy rockstar, bad tempered, man whoreish ways, no flucks given...
Enter cali literally hired to smooth the bad boy image 6 months by his side and the end a lovely payment that will sort her life out for the better.
6 months is a long time, close confines bring challenges a plenty a few twists and turns along the way that do add to the book and add another level of depth to the story but overall for for me the story felt rushed, was missing connection for me and felt very typical almost guessing the storyline as I read.
Don't get me wrong and enjoyable and easy read that you will finish quickly but just didnt spark a connection with me.
As a new to me author I will come back and read more from this author just to see if the story's and writing develops with time.
Brilliant
Wow.........This is one hell of a powerful story. I absolutely loved it.
I was pulled right into this story and while I was reading the words o was watching it play out in my head, until I had read the last word.
I was taken on a slight rollercoaster ride reading this story, I think that is because I understood what the main female character was going through.
I laughed, I cried, I got mad and cried a little but more.
I highly recommend this book, I do wish I could rate it higher than I have as it does deserve it.
Erin Trejo is one of my favourite authors. I have never read a book by her that I have not enjoyed.
Tristan is a bad boy rocker. His manager decides he needs a girlfriend, so he rents him a one. But Tristan really doesn't want to do this. He gives in, and meets a sassy back-talking girl named Cali. He can't stand her, at 1st. I really can't blame him, he didn't want this to start with. But the relationship begins to grow and he learns about her crazy past. Tristan also has a bad past, but not near as bad as Cali's life. Cali wants to trust Tristan, but she has burned so many times. I loved this story, the author really made me feel for Cali. Grab this book it's great.
This is a book you can't rush through...take it slowly so you don't miss anything!!
Erin has done it again with this one. Definitely not your standard bad boy rocker meets girl romance book, this is full of twists and turns and will pull you in, leaving you in laughter one minute and close to tears the next!
I love the way that Erin created a "family" unit with the characters and each has their own part to play.
You will absolutely want to read this one!
This was a quick and easy read and not your typical rock star romance. Apart from romance and steamy sex scenes, there were issues to overcome, and friendships to be made. I liked Tristan and Cali. Their love-hate relationship in the beginning made for some great reading. I loved the underlying theme in this novel that we all have flaws and we all deserve to be loved. This was a good read.
Rented By Him by Erin Trejo (a new-to-me author) is a very different bad-boy rocker story with quite a few twists!
Cali is hired by Tristan's manager to be his "pretend" girlfriend for 6 months. She will get $10,000/month for travelling and living with the infamous rocker, making it appear that they are a real couple, to try to change the rockers' dubious reputation in the media....easy money, right? The sweet but sassy, feisty and independent Cali soon finds out what a challenge this is truly going to be!
At first, I really didn't like Tristan AT ALL!! I thought he was arrogant, entitled, full-of-himself and I hated the way he treated Cali! But, as the story unfolds and you get to know the real Tristan? I fell in love with him, just like Cali did...
The unexpected twists in this story had my heart breaking, in turns, for both Cali and Tristan but MS Trejo manages to put it all back together with a very satisfying conclusion...I will definitely be checking out her other series for more of this talented authors' work!
