Jenny is a girlfriend-for-hire, the platonic kind.

While under contract with her movie director boyfriend, glamour has ruled. Designer gowns. Red-carpet premieres. And, of course, seeing her face in the tabloids.

She loves tabloids.

But her reign has come to an end. Her sugar daddy has fallen in love -- with someone else. Her contract is over and tonight she has to end it publicly by making sure the paparazzi "catches" her with another man.

She just has to find the man.

Chance has been hitchhiking across the US, playing and singing for tips. This is the life he's always imagined, and the farther he gets from his disastrous family in Tennessee, the better he feels.

An unexpected invitation to sing with an indie blues group at a movie premiere party gives him a sweet taste of fame. As a bonus, a beautiful girl with pink dreadlocks only has eyes for him.

But the collision between Jenny and Chance is more emotional and intense than either of them expected. When the scandal hits the news, Chance's family finds him, pushing him to come home and face his demons.

The night has even more consequences for Jenny. She needs to find Chance, but nobody knows anything about him, not even his last name.

Her journey takes her across the country and into the disaster Chance is running from. But she can't give up on him, because what neither of them realized is that sometimes a single night can be the beginning of forever.

Full length standalone HEA.
Includes characters from Forever Innocent and Forever Sheltered and singer Dylan Wolf from JJ Knight's Revenge and Blue Shoes series.

When I was asked to help promote the release of Forever Bound, I was thrilled. When I was given the opportunity to review it, I was over the top ecstatic!
I’ve read the other books in the Forever series by Deanna Roy and really enjoyed them, so I had high expectations when I started reading. Deanna not only met those expectations, she surpassed them!

Now, you know I don’t do plot summaries in my reviews. A book should be enjoyed by the reader, as the author intended—not summed up by a blogger. This takes away from the experience of reading the story… of getting pulled into the world the author has created… of wondering, “what’s next?” So, nope, can’t do it. Other bloggers/reviews do, and I respect their work, especially as an author.

Okay, totally off the point. (Keep reading. The review comes after this short break of my ramblings) What I need to say is, Deanna Roy’s series touches on women who have lost babies. She’s a huge advocate for parents who have endured the trauma of a miscarriage. As a women who has suffered numerous miscarriages, one in the second trimester, which nearly broke me, I appreciate how she delves into the subject with a touch so soft it’s as if she’s soothing the hurt of parents who’ve lost a child. It’s a hard topic to venture into. So many authors either use the topic frivolously, or gloss over it like it’s nothing… I mean, it’s just a miscarriage, right? Um, no. I thank Deanna for sharing her inner hurt with those of us who have suffered a miscarriage, and for doing so with such tenderness and deep understanding of the feelings that go hand in hand with the hurt.

Okay! Enough of that. While the book does touch on that subject somewhat, it’s not what it’s about. Forever Bound follows Chance (added to the list of book boyfriends!), and pink-haired Jenny. I have to admit, I didn’t connect with Jenny for the first third of the book. I thought her actions were too over the top. But as I started learning the reasons for her wacky behavior, I came to love her! She really grew over the course of the story, and, I guess, her wild behavior and flaws were what made her “human.”

Chance, well, yum. Gotta love him. He’s a loner, a nomad. He has inner demons chasing him, and while you get glimpses of what happened in his past, you don’t really get the whole story until the end, and it will have your heart squeezed into two. I loved him at the beginning of the book… I loved him more at the end. Yes, he’s flawed, but that’s what makes a character great. We are all flawed. A perfect character isn’t just fake, it’s unbelievable, and (worse) impossible to relate to.

The plot and sub-plot of the story were awesome, and unique. And the feels! Wow, I just can’t say enough good things about Forever Bound. I haven’t read a story like it, and that was refreshing. I couldn’t put it down. I had (have) a migraine for two days, and when I have one this bad, I can’t work or read. It’s double agony. But, thank the good Lord, there’s the option to have my Kindle read to me. Yes, it’s a robotic voice and it is irritating in that regard, but I was able to block out the robotic voice and focus on the story, it was that good!

Boring mechanics… all good. There was a handful of grammatical errors, but nothing that detracted from the story. The pacing was good. The idea and presentation of the plot and subplots was awesome. The characters were well developed. Secondary characters could have used a little umph, though.

Bottom line: Read it. It’s well written, as we expect from an author of Deanna Roy’s caliber. It’s a great storyline. And just because I wrote a bit about miscarriage, don’t think that it’s all about that—it’s not. A woman who has never had a miscarriage will love the story just the same. Jenny and Chance will keep you reading way past your bedtime… send tingles up your spine during the yummy parts… and give you butterflies at the connection between them.

It’s a book you don’t want to miss. And don’t worry if you haven’t read the first two books in the series. Forever Bound works as a standalone. So, seriously, stop reading right now and get your copy of Forever Bound. You won’t be sorry.

Boring disclosure: I was given a copy of Forever Bound by Deanna Roy in exchange for my honest review. The statements are solely mine, and completely subjective. I received no monetary gain for this review.

Forever Bound is a incredibly captivating journey that will take you by surprise and never let go of your heart. This is a story that will burrow so far under your skin that you won’t know where you end and it begins. You especially won’t even notice its hold on you or the full force of its impact until you are least expecting it. There is nothing simple or easy at the core of this tale, but what you find will change you for the better. Never take anything for granted because at any time we could find what we cherish the most begins to slip through our fingers like grains of sand in an hourglass.

Jenny sees her life changing before her eyes. One day she felt like she was someone and now she is left with her former life of silent mediocrity. Not knowing if she can really handle that she tries to do something that will help lift her spirits. In the midst of her plans, she is derailed by not just a handsome face but also a baffling emotional experience that leaves her completely spellbound and utterly petrified. Chance is quite literally swept off his feet by the beautiful tornado named Jenny. He is drawn to her like no other women he has ever met, and he can’t seem to remove her from his mind and his heart no matter how hard he tries. Unexpected circumstances bring these two back together to face a harrowing past that won’t stay buried, boldly face the fears of the present, and bravely walk into an unknown future. Can they both stop their running long enough to heal their gaping wounds and decide what their life is truly worth, or will they turn their back on any scrap of hope presented to them and decide to forever lock their heart away and continue to fake it?

Jenny could be labeled as a beautiful mess, but she lives that way with a purpose in mind. Trying to forget a painful past while putting on a pretty mask is not an easy thing to keep going. Even her closest friends are in the dark about her pain, and she wants to keep it that way. They have their own painful pasts to deal with. They certainly don’t need her baggage as well. Chance is on the run from his own tormenting pain, but he is able to find a safe haven even for a short time in the company of the mysterious Jenny. He doesn’t understand their intense connection, but for the short respite of feeling and being free of the contact ache, he isn’t one to question it too much. Jenny and Chance are symbiotic souls that were mean to find the other and discover what they have been missing all this time. Their chaotic world quiets and their hearts stop breaking when they are together. They make such a beautiful couple that brings more life, hope, and happiness to the other then they ever thought they deserved. I fell in love with them, and I hated to see them go. Theirs is a truly mesmerizing love story.

Deanna Roy has brought such life and heart to her character Jenny that I am truly in awe of her depth of heart and soul. She had me cherishing Jenny just as much as I have Tina and Corabelle. I look forward to the next stage of life for these three beautiful friends. They deserve all the hope and happiness that they can find and take hold of. This is a devastatingly heartbreaking and yet a boundlessly hopeful series that will both shred and heal your heart and soul from deep within. I highly recommend this series to anyone who thinks that their life is not one worth living or is too hard to walk through one day at a time. The way life shapes and molds us without our knowledge will both take us by surprise and grant us the courage and the ability to become who we were born to be. Don’t give up before you are able to rise from the ashes of your life and transform into a wondrous person who can bring light and hope to those around you.

Forever Bound by Deanna Roy is the fourth book in the Forever series. The Forever series is one of the most emotional and touching series that I have read. Each of the characters in this series is unique, charming, and faced some harsh realities in life. Their strength and perseverance has been admiral. Their dedication their friends and those they love is commendable. I have thoroughly enjoyed this series. Forever Bound came as a complete surprise to me. It was unpredictable and quite unexpected.

Jenny has been a key secondary character throughout the Forever series. She has come across as a delightful free spirit that loves her friends fiercely. She helps them through all their ups and downs and is their biggest cheerleader. On the surface she comes across as an easy going yet colorful spirit. Beneath the surface, she has her own insecurities and a past she hides behind with her rainbows. Jenny is a positive person despite her past.

When she has to stage a public scene/ break up with her fake boyfriend, a famous Hollywood director, she is feeling a loss. Even though he was a fake boyfriend, he was her security blanket and close friend.

When she meets the sexy singer of the band at the party where her break up is to be staged, he is the perfect candidate. With his good looks and sex appeal, it is going to be a pleasure staging the scene. What she didn't count on was the intense attraction to Chance. What starts as a staged scene turns into a sizzling hot one night stand. Sex on the beach takes on a whole new definition.

That one hot encounter will take on a whole new life once the paparazzi exposes her escapades on the beach. Her life is turned upside down.

Chance is a drifter. He moves from town to town, playing his music, and making enough money to move on. His one night stand with Jenny on the beach has left a lasting impression he can't forget. It also exposed him. He walked away from his family in Chattanooga, TN. He's left behind the mess of his life and refuses to return home.

That one night stand will change both Jenny and Chance's life. It will make them both face their pasts. It will bring something they never knew they wanted or needed. It will bound them together forever.

Not only was Forever Bound a touching, emotional romance; it literally hit close to home for me. I was amazed at the accuracy of the locations throughout the book. Everything about Chattanooga was pin point accurate. I live in this area. The descriptions, names of various places, and street locations was dead on. She captured the feel of the town. She captured the Bible Belt mentality.

Another thing I liked about Forever Bound was the musical references. Dylan Wolf, a rock star character, from the Blue Shoes series by JJ Knight (aka Deanna Roy) made some strong cameo appearances. It was great to see these two series tied together.

Forever Bound can be read as a stand alone romance or in series order. I highly recommend this book. It will touch your heart.

What a great book! I loved this. Emotional yet funny. A perfect blend of emotions.

I will do a synopsis of the book. Just read the blurb as it is perfect!

Jenny and Chance meet in a very unexpected way an feel an immediate connection. They have one awesome night together and are caught on camera. Pictures leaked and all h*** breaks loose. Chance takes off and Jenny tries to resume her normal life.

Things happen that forces Jenny to track Chance down. Not easy since last names were never exchanged. She prevails and finally finds him and learns so much about what shaped Chance into the person he is. Tragedy strikes. Jenny stays strong for Chance.

This is such a wonderful read and this review does not do the book justice. I have read other books by Deanna Roy and have loved them all and this book was no different. It's a beautiful romance story and I recommend it to anyone who loves a good fictional romance.

I received an ARC for an honest review.

An amazing book that you don't want to miss! Part of The Forever series but easily read standalone. Great writing, great characters, and a very interesting a storyline make this a good one!

Jenny has been living the good life while under contract with her pretend movie director boyfriend. But all good things must come to an end and that time is now. The big breakup is staged for a big event they are attending. All she needs is to find someone and have her picture taken kissing him.

Chance has been living life on the road. After a devastating event back home, he's taken off and roamed the country. He happens to be attending the party with the band when he spots the most beautiful girl he's ever seen. He can't believe his good luck when she seems just as interested in him. Little does he know that his off the radar life is about to be blown up!!

You'll want to read this one. I highly recommend it.

i really loved this book.
i thought this book would go along with the 2 previous theme.loosing a child, newborn. Still, children a part but it was a total different story about choice, death and living.
But what i loved about this book was the easiness of the characters. it felt settled. And also quite some fun.
Jenny at first i couldn't understand and i was starting to not like her that much a kinda gold digger and on. but it wasn't. anyway, i loved her after all.
by the end of the book, everything just click in place grain of sand, tadpole alien all have a meaning and many many more.

I really can't wait the next and last book, a big epilogue.

Don't read this book in public! You will be hard-pressed to explain why you are crying

As with the first 3 books in this series, I needed a ton of tissues... I made the mistake of reading it when I was out having lunch (coz I couldn't put down the book and it was awkward when people noticed the tears streaming down my face).

While I can't relate to the pain that Corabelle and Tina face; the way that Deanna writes gives you such a good sense of it that you can't help but cry for them and with them.

I have to say that Jenny is pretty insensitive. Maybe she hasn't experienced the same loss as Corabelle and Tina; but she is pretty self-absorbed as the previous books but it makes for a good story nonetheless.

I can't wait to read Tina's story and Corabelle's happy ending

I found the entire premise of the story to be a bit of a stretch. The hero and heroine didn't even have a one-night stand; they had a romp on the beach before they went their separate ways. Then the heroine finds out she's pregnant and ends up going from the west coast to the east to find the hero. She didn't even know his last name, they didn't exchange numbers and yet they find each other? Okay.
However, the pain each of them went through due to past trauma, that I could relate to. That made the story and why I gave it three stars.

Jenny grew up rebellious because of something that happened in her past that she hasn't told a single soul. After dating a director with a contract. Jenny has to make out with someone one so they can end their four month fake romance so the director can move on clean. She instantly sees chance. Chance is a musician drifter running from his sad past. When they hook up its all publicly scandalized. Do these two have a chance at forever??? Need to read great series.

I’m not exactly sure how I feel about this one. I wouldn’t usually be a fan of a heroine with pink dreadlocks but Jenny was alright, a bit immature but somewhat endearing. I don’t think there was sufficient explanation for how a college student from San Diego became the paid escort for a Hollywood movie producer which made the whole story’s premise a bit off. Chase and his home drama was well done though. Not a whole lot of sex or romance to this but the story kept my attention.

Well at 20% on my kindle I'm already in need of a cold shower …

And at 80% I had to force myself to close my kindle and get some sleep … if I hadn’t I would have devoured this book in one sitting.

Jenny’s contracted relationship with Frankie, her sugar daddy movie director, has come to an end. They’ve agreed that she will set up some scandalous snaps for the paparazzi ... media hype for Frankie, just in time for his upcoming movie release.

Chance is a loner and a drifter musician hitchhiking his way around the US, avoiding emotional family issues in his hometown of Chattanooga, Texas. It was really easy to fall a little bit in love with Chance when we meet him in the beginning of the story.

Jenny and Chance end up at the same Hollywood after party, Jenny on Frankie’s arm and Chance jamming with the band hired for the party. Chance immediately catches Jenny’s eye as the perfect guy for the paparazzi snaps and Chance’s attention is immediately caught by the girl with the pink dreadlocks.

I was surprised I felt such chemistry between Jenny and Chance early on considering Jenny’s reasons for seeking Chance out. The scenario didn't really scream hotness for me, more like tackiness but I instantly felt the connection and it worked in the overall story.

I seriously thought I was reading a novella I flew through this book so quickly, but when I checked the details on Goodreads Forever Bound is actually a little longer than the first book Forever Innocent. My only complaint is that I could have easily read more.

It was lovely that Corabelle and Tina were present in this novel, but Forever Bound is a standalone. I'd still recommend reading the series ... why miss out on Deanna’s other wonderful and touching novels.

Once again, Deanna’s novel offers an emotional and real life situation that families often go through. Whilst this novel isn't about infant loss, it's still about the loss of a loved one.

I highly recommend picking up a Deanna Roy novel, you won’t regret it. Just make sure the tissue box is within reach.

I loved Jenny’s story

I won’t restate the book’s blurb because it summarizes the story much better than I ever could. The story is told from alternating points of view and I love that in this type of book.

Sparks fly between Jenny and Chance and they have one mind blowing night together. When pictures from that night hit the tabloids and internet Chance decides to take off again; he and Jenny didn’t even exchange last names.

When Jenny goes to Chattanooga to look for Chance she finds out why he left home and learns more about the person he is. While parts of the story seem somewhat unrealistic this is romantic fiction and I read it for what it is – a way to escape reality and this story allowed me to do that for several hours of reading pleasure.

I’m not really doing justice to this book with my review; sometimes it’s hard for me to really describe why I like a book. All I can say about this one is that once I started reading it I couldn’t put it down.

I have loved all of the other books I’ve read by Deanna Roy and this one is no exception. If you like her other books you won’t want to miss this one. If you read this one I’m sure you will want to read her other books as well.

Once again Ms. Roy writes a compelling story with a tough subject line and shows compassion for the circumstances. This storyline is different in that it did not deal with the loss of a child through a miscarriage but something equally as devastating, when you have to make the choice to end your child's life. Nothing can prepare you for the loss of a child and everyone deals with the after effects differently. Some find religion, some act out and some run away. Bright, colorful Jenny finally gets her story and we get to see the real person behind the loud colors and fascination for pink. Chance has his own dark demons to fight and is drawn the vibrant Jenny like a moth to a flame. As with all the stories in this series, their journey will not be easy and you will easily be swept up in the intense emotions that these characters and the storyline create. While the loss of a child is related to sibling it was an important turning point in both the main characters lives. This was a well written story with great colorful characters. It portrayed fun, friends, family, regret, mistakes, understanding and a journey to heal the soul.
I was given and ARC for an honest review.

Jenny is just hired arm candy for a famous director. Unfortunately for her he has actually found someone to love and he and Jenny are breaking ties. But the tabloids needs a bit of show and Jenny must make it look like shes cheating on him so it doesn't look bad for the Director. Meanwhile Chase is on the other end of the party as a temporary band mate for a show. When he sees Jenny the attraction is instant which eventually led to a hott one night stand. When a problem arises Jenny searches out Chase, but that become a challenge when she only knows of his first name and nothing else.

Overall I did enjoy it. I loved that even though this was standalone I got a bit of glimpses of past characters in the previous books of this series. I loved how unique and fun Jenny's character was. I loved getting to know more about Chase and Jenny throughout the book, I enjoyed seeing more into their pasts. I thought that this book was very well written, enjoyable able with a interesting story line.

Great story! Although I recommend you lovely readers to check out this book. I think it would be great to seeing the previous books because they are just a great as this book.

I have really enjoyed this series. I always wanted to know more about Jenny and so glad that Deanna was able to write her book. Previous readers have known about Jenny’s “relationship” throughout the series. But it was time for this good life to come to an end. She just had to make an elaborate ending and that is where Chance comes in. Chance has left his life back in Tennessee and has been living a life on the road. When Chance and Jenny first lay eyes on each other, a spark is ignited. Though neither were expecting the connection they would share that one fateful night. It is not an easy road for these two but so worth it in the end.
Jenny and Chance were great characters. There is so much more depth to them then meets the eye. The story was great and was interesting from the first page till the end. Though I would have liked more at the end but that is just me being greedy lol. Deanna wrote a book that is filled with heart and that will captivate you.
I am really excited for what is coming next in the series.

Absolutely loved this story! Deanna Roy knows how to write anything though!!
This story is written in alternating POV's, which is great because then you get to see both Jenny and Chase's thoughts and where things are going in their minds.
I was upset when the book came to an end. I was so enthralled with the story, I just didn't want it to end.
The writing is excellent. There is great detail to things that you not wondering what Deanna meant and you could fall right into the story as if you were the character.
Jenny and Chase knew they had something special when they both felt emotion, although it was meant to be a one night stand, and neither of them could explain what they felt when they were on the beach.
This was a great story. Not only was it a HEA, but it also had real life things intertwined with it, so it did not seem like just a fairytale story. It felt more real life. More believable. <3
A must read book and series!!

Forever Bound by Deanna Roy is a fantastic book from the Forever Series. In Forever Bound, the story is about Chance and Jenny.
Chance is leaving his life and past behind him and hits the open road. He is playing his guitar and singing in restaurants to make little money to live off of. He wants to hit it big in LA.
When Chance gets to LA, he meets Jenny. A hired girlfriend to a big shot director. At first eye contact you know sparks are flying with these two characters. You will have to read Forever Bound to find out which road the journey of Chance and Jenny will take you. Will they hit it off or will the road lead them to a dead end.

I absolutely LOVE the Forever Series by Deanna Roy...LOVE, LOVE, LOVE these characters and their own personal stories! At first page you are sucked it. These books do not disappoint, one of my top favorite series yet!!! I highly recommend Deanna Roy's Forever Series and all of her other fantastic reads! Five fantastic stars!!!

What a heartfelt love story. This story takes 2 individuals who would normally be doomed to fail and brings them together for a HEA.

Chance and Jenny have a one night stand to remember and a "grain of sand" that has them forever bound. They take a chance on their relationship knowing a hard road is ahead.

The events that occur throughout the story and the friends in their lives creates the perfect storm for a novel that will remain in your heart.

If you enjoy a story with a unique journey and a HEA then this book is for you. It is a stand alone but I also highly recommend you read the series.

I received this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Thanks Deanna! I can't wait to see what happens next.

Jenny is a recurring character in the Forever series, and this book tells her story. It was fun to learn more about her past -- now I want to go back and reread the other books! The real question is: Can Jenny be tamed? You'll have to read the book to find out! (Hint: Chance is a hot new addition to the series, and when he meets Jenny at a Hollywood party, sparks fly and sand gets everywhere!) I love being able to read the backstories of all the characters in this series. This book has more of an emphasis on fun, but you'll still want to have your hankies ready. And you might be inspired to write your own songs, or dye your hair pink!

Loved reading this ebook and the whole Forever series. Jenny appears to be an outgoing lover of life character though when her situation changes and her pretend movie director boyfriend ends their contractual relationship, things get interesting. She meets Chance a guy making his way cross country and escaping from his life in Tennessee.

Jenny zeroes in on Chance at an after party premiere and uses him to cement the end of the relationship with the movie director. Lots of twists and turns in the story. A great read, you'll love the characters and the story.

I have loved the Forever Series ever since Forever Innocent. Each book gets better and better with each character bringing something different to the series. I knew that Jenny was far more than what she portrays herself to be and with this book you'll see that. You'll understand her and her ways of doing things. Chance oh my what can I say about him? LOVE that's what! Total book boyfriend material! Be ready to be taken on a journey that their story will lead you on. As with all of Deanna's books they are automatic one-clicks that you never have to hesitate to do because you know that all of her books are guaranteed to be phenomenal!

This book is absolutely fabulous!! I wish I could fit all my emotions and thoughts in words on a review.... This is the 4th book in the Forever Series and it is emotional and touching. I love how the story is both sides and you really can't put the book down.. The instant chemistry between Jenny and Chance hook you in. This is one of those books that you feel every emotion that they go through together and apart, and come out the other side wanting more. I truly enjoyed this book and am so glad I got to read it. I can't wait to see what Deanna Roy comes out with next, she never dissapoints.

I finished this book over the course of two days - since I stayed up waaaaaay past my bedtime, compulsively turning pages! This story is so well-written, with honest and genuine emotion. The stakes were just right: pressing enough to keep me reading through to the end, but not so overblown that it wrecked my suspension of disbelief. Jenny and Chance make great viewpoint characters, and I loved how they had a fiery connection that led into slowly getting to know each other in a very sweet, slow way at the end. Highly recommend!

This book was quite an emotional read for me. So much feeling, so much intensity, so much to describe. It was beautiful!! I love a story that actually has a story, whether it's a series or a full novel, and this is definitely a story that will make you feel like you're on a roller coaster. It has depth, it has fun, it has excitement, it has passion...I have not read the other 3 books in this series, honestly, I was not aware they existed, but I will be getting them now!! Thank you for a wonderful read Deanna!!
