Easy money when you literally have empty pocket; lady luck when there is no luck thing in your life; easy life, when you have no desire or zeal to work at all. The three wise monkeys is a humor loaded story of three such boys who wants to become Chartered Accountant and trying again and again on the theory of ‘try, try, till you succeed’ and it worked for them. Yes, they succeed finally but lately after many failed attempts and counting number of years.

The three wise monkeys is a story of three friends Amar, Akbar, Anthony. They want to be rich and successful but with little or no efforts. They are lazy and do not want to work. Hard work is beyond the limit of their imagination. After trying for many years, they finally get through CA and started their own practice. Nobody came. Until three girls bring the lady luck in their life and changed their life forever. What has changed and how all happened that had happened is the story.

The name of the book aptly suited to the three main characters of the story. The story has political humor which at some instances seems unnecessary and stuffed and not so humorous. The story brings issues of black money, corruption and money laundering packed in a light and comical story of a trio of ‘Three wise monkeys’.

A solid 3.5 starts. Thanks Saheli Chatterji and author to provide me a review copy.

The author is a CA and the book is about money laundering. Though the book is light heated in approach but it deals with a serious issue of money laundering through bogus off shore companies. The book explained the concept in such a simple and interesting way that even a layman like me understood. There is an ultimate beneficial owner (UBO) or you may also call him/ her Unknown Beneficial owner ;). Then a chain of bogus companies is set up in countries like Belize, Panama, British Virgin Island, Cyprus and Cayman island etc. Then through these countries the money is finally parked into Switzerland. Even the name of UBO can be hidden by using share register or MOA. These countries are called tax heavens and they have double taxation avoidance treaty with India. So if the money is taken through this route it is almost impossible to trace it back to the original owner.

There are three main monkeys oops protagonists Amar, Akbar and Anthony. They are born losers and pass their CA exam after billion attempts. They are idiots and even after they set up the company, they don’t get work. At the same time they are honest and honest CA doesn’t last. Then there are twin brother Raj and Suhas who are married to Ruma and Suma. They are hen pecked husbands and has a common concubine Shobha. They have secretaries Farah and Meghna. Raj and Suhas have no morals and they are ready to do anything for money and bend any rules. There is a wily banker Ashwin who has assistant named Sarah. As expected all these people paths cross and AAA falls in love with Meghna, Farah and Sarah respectively (I failed to understand why in 2016 author is compelled to pair them as per religion). Anyways the Trio is set up in the money laundering scheme of Ashwin. Then all hell breaks loose and they are arrested for no fault of their own. There are many other characters and many sub plots. Finally all is well in the end.

I like the humor of the book. The book is hilarious. There are many tongue in cheek one liners. Sample these:
1. Tax is a burden but tits are a beauty.
2. Rakesh Manjrekar could not pronounce hard consonant ‘k’; instead he would say ‘t’.
3. There is only one way to convince a woman, whether she is your wife, mother or daughter. Don’t try to persuade her. Ask for her forgiveness.
4. Suhas intercepted that common unappealing look that adorns the faces of all women when they are pissed at their husbands.
5. The ACP shushed them, which was also a mistake, and it was against the United Nations support for women’s right.
6. Ashwin sold his Ferrari and became a monk; now he lives in baba Ramdev’s ashram.

Not all is hunky dory though. There are so many subplots and multiplicity of characters. This confused me and it became difficult to keep track of all of them like Shetty brothers track. Also many characters were introduced very late in the story and that became cumbersome. The climax is prolonged and three monkeys track albeit hilarious but it was exasperating. It read like a Bollywood script in the end. The author had such a wide canvas and in the end it was a desperate attempt to bring together in the climax. Generally in every novel there is one epilogue but here we have 5 epilogues which runs into almost 7 pages. In epilogue also there is story progressing which was too much for my taste. Maybe it would have been better that author would have written a part two instead of wrapping up everything in a jiffy.

All in all a very good book. If we ignore the deficiencies pointed out in above para the book is very hilarious and educational about money laundering in particular and corruption in general. I had a blast reading it and I recommend you also read it at the earliest. I am planning to read the three U-turns of my life soon.

if we look in today's era, youth in inclined towards startups, they start it of with a bang and end up getting stuck in hurdles, 3 wise monkeys is one such novel. Loaded with fantastic puns and sarcastic one liners and a plot which revolves around 3 CA's who anyhow pass their professional courses and start a firm and end up into money laundering and all sorts of illegal activities and what not.
Remarkably written book, being a CA himself, jeet gian has kept all the minute details in his mind while penning down this book, being an ex CA student i myself relived all my earlier days, all that fun, frustration of writing the same exams again and memorizing all that very same course is what exactly any student with the same profession would relate to. The ending as compared to the whole book is quite slow and has a very filmy ending, and it has all the elements of being converted into a typical-bollywood-masala. the book cover and the book title is in sync with the plot and perfectly depicts that this book is all about 3 protagonists. The editing has proofreading is surely a major concern for me as it could have been better, otherwise it is surely a light read book and a book that gives insight of every CA students life. Its a must read for all the Ca and for that matter all the people who want to relive their school, college days.
perfect book to be kept in one's shelf :)

Failure is the condiment that gives success its flavor. But to taste that flavor we must make a decision that we are going to move on..and we have to try hard!! 'THE THREE WISE MONKEYS' ,a novel written by Jeet Gian, make us realize the same. The Trio-Amar,Akbar and Anthony in the story are the epitome of failure but at one point they believe that there is no need to cry over death and failure..They just have to move on and try, try, till they succeed. After getting failed 11 times they finally succeed because they never quit. They have encountered many defeats but at last they rise and came out of it. Overall, the novel is fun and quite inspiring for those who believe that they are not good enough and can't make money ever, which is not true! The novel inspires you to never quit(never say never) and always fight for what you wanted to achieve irrespective of number of times of your failure.

This book is about lot of characters. Reading this book is like monkeys running in the jungle here and there. And co-incidentally in the climax 3 monkeys run out of the mumbai zoo. Reading this book reminds me of priyadarshan movie like hungama, malamal weekly which does not have any story and there is a chaos in the end. Nobody understands what is going on? Author has created so much characters its very difficult to remember whats there part in the book like a character Naresh Gowlikar alias Chotta Pappu which does not have any importance in the story. Its like author has adjusted them. And mostly all characters are very loose like they all are jokers who does not know what is to be said according to the situation. All characters mostly are incomplete, But reading this book made me laugh and its enjoyable. If you need a book not serious and for a lite comedy then go for this book having characters who are fools and make you laugh in each and every move they do. Over all its a Ok GOODREAD...

Note : This review as first published in my blog Book and Ink

“We shall overcome, we shall overcome,
We shall overcome someday;
Oh, deep in my heart, I do believe,
We shall overcome someday.”

These lines remind me of my moral sciences classes in class 5 when we sung this song with all notes out of sync. Our teacher, who tried her best to make us all sing in tone, gave up at one point eventually. Nevertheless, it was so much fun. One character in the book kept up the self-motivation by singing these very lines. Thus the nostalgia!

Amar, Akbar, Antony – our three monkeys, aka the protagonists, are honest chartered accountants. They had passed their CA exams with much difficulty and eventually had set up their own practice. They struggle to find clients. They finally see the light in the end of the tunnel in the form of auditing for three clients. Slowly, the tunnel falls apart piece by piece and they are caught in a web of money laundering and other illegal activities.

It is apparent that the writer is a chartered accountant as he has perfectly illustrated the process of setting up an off shore account and a company to launder money. The title, the narration and general writing style implies that the humor is a stronghold for this writer. However, characterization and too many sub plots marred the joyous experience of reading a humorous story. There were simply too many characters and at one point I lost track of who was want and why they were there in the book. The sub plot involving secondary characters like Suma and Ruma were given way too much importance and veered off from the central story. At the outset, it seemed like the book really didn’t have a proper plot in place. In fact, there were times when the book reminded me of the famous song Bhaag DK bose form the movie Delhi Belly – Fast moving story sans an actual story! Nonetheless, the intended plot became after the cops got involved into the chase. The detailing could have used some good edits.

MY SAY: The book is worth a read for its humorous dialog and fantastic detailing on as to how to set up an off shore account and launder money.

Three Wise Monkeys by Jeet Gian is a light hearted novel flavoured with humor and loads of puns. This novel shows us that the author has planned to laugh our hearts out while reading.

Cover- The cover has light coloured scheme and perfectly proves the motive as it has three monkeys in the most wierdest poses which will surely make you laugh. This gives us an idea about the element of humor being a major part.

Title- The title is witty and grabds the attention of the reader. Three Wise Monkeys is an apt title which is a pun intended by the author.

Blurb- The trio – Amar, Akbar, and Anthony – had no clue whatsoever about their goddammit indecisive careers – and – indefinite – struggles.

And that was because they were born with the Peter Pan Syndrome and were simple enough to be tricked by anyone, including their mystifying girlfriends – Meghna, Farah, and Sarah.

And as is the fate of all morons, they were drawn into trouble – deep trouble – of hiding crores of rupees of black money in secret offshore companies.

Will their mistake of turning a blind eye to the philosophy of ‘See no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil’ cost them their careers and put them in prison?

Or

Will Lady Luck change their fortunes forever?

Plot- The plot is gripping as it revolves around the lives of three people Amar, Akbar and Anthony and the way they handle the situations in the most humourous ways. They have serious issues but always tackle them with their witty attitude even if they are in grave trouble.

HUmour as an Element- The author has artisitically added humour in his novel and the use of witty dialogues related to politics and bollywood is appreciable.

Theme- The themes of relationships, love, comedy, corruption can be noticed in this novel.

Characterisation- The author has crafted his characters artistically. All have their own stories be it Amar, Akbar, Anthony or their girlfriends. The way the girlfriends play with them makes the readers pity them sometimes. The situations created are extremely serious but depicted in a light manner.

Style- The style of author is simple, lucid and pithy. The way he has used puns, witty sentences, comedy of manners is mind blowing. The readers end up with hearty laughter in the end.

The Three Wise Monkey is a fiction by Jeet Gain.
Having a CA(Chartered Accountant) degree to your name isn't something to be proud of unless you are making some cash out of the job, same was the plight with the trio of the book. Amar Alwani, Akbar Khan and Anthony D'Douza three CAs with their hard earned CA degrees are clueless about their careers when they meet the loves of their life Meghna, Farah and Sarah. The desperate search for clients makes them run into Ashwin Kolhatkar, a cunning banker with a never filling greed who tricks them into the dirty business of money laundering without their knowledge.
Wanted by the police, tagged as terrorist by the media, their lives run haywire when they try to find the real culprit and the proof for their innocence. The Three Wise Monkeys is a story of three unwise monkeys and how they help to settle the mess in the lives of Amar, Akbar and Anthony.

The story starts with the reader's introduction with the trio, passing on to the weaving of the plot and then a funny and rather chaotic climax.
Not every author makes his characters pour "chai" on bun maska, Jeet Gian did and it was pleasant.
Most readers skip the acknowledments and about section etc of a book in a hurry to reach the story, but if you want some extra treat, do not skip the first few pages as the author surely knows how to tickle one's funny bone.
Batman in white pajamas, ill fitting Joker and a Scarecrow riding a triplet tandem cycle is the funniest thing that can happen even in the wildest of dreams.

Ratings- 3 out of 5 stars.

The horror porno scene with Tukaram was a bit confusing though the understandable details were humorous.

Despite being fun, the book happens to be an one time read.
The book is not for the ones with low imagination as the scenes in the book are fun only when the whole thing is imagined, just reading would tag them as boring.
The climax was way too much chaotic to be kept track of while reading. The plot would be better as a movie than what it is as a book.

BOOK REVIEW

This Novel (Each chapter) provides an entry to the most common controversial practices prevailing in India, from the likes of Under the Table (Bribe), Prize-Fixing, Tax-Havens (Hawala) and many more and the Situations are created in such a way that You will have to keep the Book aside and laugh holding your Stomach.

For an Artist, the most difficult thing is to bring Happiness, Laughter and Smile to their Audience.

But the author has very well used the words in such a witty and sarcastic way (Comparing Ruma and Suma to Sonia and Maneka Gandhi, Damodar (aka Damu) and Ujjwal to the likes of Amit Shah and Manish Sisodia) to create an humour out of everything. He has perfectly used references from Today's World and taken care of each and every minute Detailing.

When You start the Book, Don't expect anything..Starting Chapters lay foundation for the Story and Characters, But once it is done, it is one of the Best Comedies to come across.

Favorite Moments:
#Beginning and Ending with "We shall Overcome..We shall Overcome.. Someday"
#First meeting of Amar-Meghna, Akbar-Farah and Anthony-Sarah.

Relatable Moments:
#Not able to Focus on work after meeting Someone and Trying to Find them.

Epic Moment:
#Raj-Suhas asking Ruma-Suma to let them Enter the Room.
#Ruma-Suma-Shobha's way of Handling Pawar Brothers.

I would like to conclude by saying that "The Three Wise Monkeys" is a Light Fun read which is quite an amalgamation of Comedy and Action Thriller (just like a Rohit Shetty Movie) with various Twists and Turns.

The Author has TRUELY CHARTERED the Novel to the ACCOUNTING Perfection!

“Easy street is a blind alley”. Isn’t this true? But our ability of clear headed thinking has been disabled by the fool’s paradise we are living in. ‘Three wise monkeys’ is a light yet relatable read that is sure to send the readers on a journey filled with bouts of laughter and realization. This tale is about love, friendship and the witty brains that can (or may be cannot) have an upper hand over others.

The three wise monkeys (pun intended) are Amar, Akbar and Anthony, who believe in the rising of the phoenix and live a carefree life. With humorously witty logics, these three protagonists walk on the path of love only to find more troubles. Some might say that these three get their comeuppance, some might even empathize and some might just enjoy them as characters.

Elementary and uncomplicated narration and redundancy in the description was something I despised in the book. But just like every coin has two sides, the good side or the stronger side of the book is the plot, the dialogues and the theme. It is like a motion picture playing right before your eyes. Another plus point is the suitability of the title; it has pun in it. Since the protagonists pay no heed to the three basics of good life- see no evil, speak no evil & hear no evil, the pun in the title is too good. The blurb is just apt to disclose minute details about what is in store for the readers.

The author has done a commendable job in portraying the characters of the story. The cover of the book is catchy. However, the proofreading could have been done better.

Overall the story is entertaining and book is a light read.
Best wishes!

Starting from the blurb, somewhere it lacked the correlation from the story and you will certainly get a very less idea about the story. But this book can't be judged with the blurb as this book is one of the funniest read I have till now.

This book had shown the efforts of a CA, which always get neglected. Being an Ex CS student, somewhere I relieved the pressure and disappointment with the prologue. This is a story about 3 CA's who start practicing and in search of good clients they fall in the money laundering business.

The puns and the one liners sarcastic dialogues make this book more interesting. I wanted to read this as quick as possible but the length of the book made me take few breaks. I found a different style of writing epilogue in this book plus a different writing style.

Overall, a very good read for weekends a this is long but intriguing. A funny read which will make you feel light.

A book that deals with complex situations, quite simply.

On the plus side, the title of the book is bang on! Especially when we come to know the reason for this. Since this is a book that was about Charted Accountants, and growing up in a household full of them, I could quite relate to a lot of situations.

The pace of the story was not consistent. Sometimes author went on about some situations that could have been narrated in a slightly condensed manner. There were quite a few editing errors as well.

The "Three wise monkeys" by Jeet Gian is a humorous novel which is full of wits and twists. The story revolves around the Three Friends who are the protagonist Amar, Akbar and Anthony. Who had one philosophy throughout their life " see no evil, hear no evil , speak no evil" by which they were in trouble.
It's all about the money but no doubt, pinch of love is also seen of the three boys.
The life which leads to confusion and troubles because of the syndrome they were facing.
A good pick for a kick start of one's life . Very relatable to the real life. Writing is subtle no heavy vocabulary that one needs to search through out the dictionary .
The cover is very catchy.

‘The Three Wise Monkey’ is really enjoyable and an inspiring novel at the same time. The main character of the novel, the Trio- Amar, Akbar and Anthony are real hero of the story. There are a lot of twist and turn in the novel. The writer had done a wonderful job especially for youngsters like me who thought that if you fail in that particular field that means that job is not for you. Jeet Gian proved me wrong here. After reading this novel I understand that failure is not the final result…it is your struggle that matters.

THE 3 WISE MONKEYS by Jeet Gian - Indeed a masterpiece (Review)

I recently read the novel “The Three Wise Monkeys” by Jeet Gian™. This is the second novel from Frog Books (an imprint of Leadstart Publishing) and is being reviewed on BookLysis. Before sharing my opinion on the book, I would like to thank my reviewer friend Surbhi Sareen for recommending such a wonderful novel.

TITLE: ‘The Three Wise Monkeys’ is a familiar yet an interesting title which attracts any bookworm to pick this book. The title ‘The Three Wise Monkeys’ carries a subtitle “Life is exciting when you have money, honey, and cronies”* on the very first page of the novel. On hearing the title ‘The Three Wise Monkeys’, the first image which clicks in my mind is a historical philosophy of “See no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil” suggested by Mahatma Gandhi through a trio of the monkeys.

COVER: A trio of the monkeys is portrayed in three witty poses on the cover of the novel. These three monkeys seem really (?) wise from their witty poses and funny stuff. The first monkey looks gentle as he carries a red laptop bag and wears black sunglasses (maybe he might singing or dancing on the song Kalaa Chashma…:)) ! The second monkey seems to be a techno geek or a DJ or any big fan of music (sir pe headphone jo laga rakha hai…:))… And the third monkey looks like a big smoker (Cigarette kaise foonk raha hai dekho to…)!!! Jokes a part! The trio of the monkeys hold revolvers and are seated on the bundles of Rs. 1000 currency notes (are re.. ab to wo bhi band (demonetise) ho chuki hain). Blue and yellow colour combination of the cover suits perfectly. Overall, cover design of the novel ‘The Three Wise Monkeys’ by Jeet Gian™ is enough to attract readers and perfectly suits to the genre as well as the story of the novel.

LANGUAGE: Author Jeet Gian uses simple and lucid language to narrate the story and so the book is easy to understand. The author uses some regional (Hindi, Marathi and Tamil) words along with their English meaning in brackets. Regional accents are narrated beautifully by the author. Italic fonts and capital letters are used to highlight regional words in a proper way. Punctuation marks are used gracefully to showcase each character's feelings and emotions while narrating the story.

WRITING STYLE: Author Jeet Gian uses third person narrative style. Authors’ amazing sense of humour, presence of mind, deep observation behind each activity are reflected in his writing of this novel. I really loved little unique experiments made by the author Jeet Gian to narrate this story. I have not read Jeet Gian’s debut novel ‘The 3-U Turns of My Life’ but after going through ‘The Three Wise Monkeys’ I would definitely try to read his debut novel. This is the magic of his writing style.

SETTING: The story of ‘The Three Wise Monkeys’ runs around different locations. More than half scenes of the novel are developed in Mumbai, Maharastra while several scenes are developed in Gandhidham, Kutch, Gujarat. Little scenes are developed abroad like Switzerland and Mauritius etc.

CHARACTERIZATION: Entertaining Characterization is the most important and powerful literary aspect of ‘The Three Wise Monkeys’ by Jeet Gian. I just loved the sense of humour of each character. The author sarcastically mocks at real celebrities, ministers, sportspersons, businessmen, actors, singers, social activists, journalists, bankers and saints etc by elegantly comparing them with his fictitious characters. Balanced comparison between fictitious and real characters create outstanding humor and keep readers engaged with the story.

The trio- Amar, Akbar, and Anthony who comes to Mumbai from three different states Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh and Maharashtra with an ambition to pursue a degree of CA are the three male protagonists while Meghna, Farah and Sarah are three female protagonists. Two businessmen brothers Raj Pawar and Suhas Pawar and their wives Ruma and Suma, Ravindran Rao, Somnath Bhagwat, Mohammad Zakaria, Solomon Prakasa Rao Pinto, ACP Kishan Kumar and Constable Keshav Kadam are other major characters. Readers meet so many minor characters who lead the story ahead.

THE PLOT & THE STORYLINE:

The plot of ‘The Three Wise Monkeys’ is well researched and nicely narrated. The storyline refers to several real incidents like November 2008 Terrorist Attack, different revolutionary movements, various government schemes, authorities and institutions like UIDAI (Aadhar), IMF and ICAI, natural disasters like BP Oil Still Disaster in 2010 and Uttarakhand floods 2013, disappeared Malaysian Airline 370 and Sheena Bora murder case etc. The story of the novel begins with an introduction of the trio of protagonists Amar, Akbar, and Anthony. The novel comments on an economy of India. In the beginning, the story glances at the 2010-11 Indian anti-corruption movement for Janlokpal bill under the leadership of the senior social activist Anna Hazare and Bharat Swabhiman Andolan to bring black money back in the leadership of Baba Ramdev. Akbar sarcastically questions on the paid honorary degrees and awards in exchange for a large donation. The book shows glimpses of Maharashtrian festivals, cultures, and traditions as well as delicacy and tourism of Gujarat. The book remarks at activities and agendas of regional political parties like MNS and Shiv Sena in Maharashtra. Anthony’s mom Emily D’Souza discloses a banana remedy as the first aid in an emergency of eye contact with Sulfur. Reiteration of the song “This is gonna be the best day of my life” inspires me to enjoy an every present day. The story remarks at how business tycoons like Raj and Suhas Pawar do believe in the lucky charm advised by babas and Pundits. The novel sarcastically mocks at pedestrians who only become viewer and make videos but don’t come forward for the help of injures in accidents.

The book talks about honest CAs. I would like to mention a
character Natwar Lakhotia’s quotation on black money-
“There is more black money in our country than we see trash and dirt on the streets of our country. We need to clean this country not only physically but also mentally and virtually.”
The book sarcastically doubts on the connection between government, businessmen, and corporate world. Namdev Yadav moronically comments at corrupt bureaucrats-
“Every government department in India is corrupt and has the worst bureaucracy.”
‘The Three Wise Monkeys’ guides you about offshore companies and their meaning and also how parent company and their subsidiary companies work? What does ‘bearer’ mean? How does black money turn into white? (No! The book doesn’t advice you to illegally convert your black money into white.) And how does money laundering happen? I wonder about author’s prediction at the implementation of Voluntary Disclosure of Income Scheme (VDIS) which has been recently announced after Rs 500 and Rs 1000 Indian banknotes demonetisation 2016 (after the publication of this novel) by the Finance ministry of India. Natwar Lakhotia, Assistant Commissioner of Income Tax Department (a fictitious character) tells the figures of dishonest taxpayers,
“97% of our 1.21 billion populations do not pay taxes.”
He announces a whistleblower idea against black money holders.
Stuff found in Meghna’s handbag will make readers laugh out loud. I loved the narration of telephonic conversation between Akbar and Anthony in the background music of Kajrare and Ooh la la…! Telephonic conversation over conference call among Suhas (turned into Raj) Pawar, constable Keshav Kadam and ACP Kishan Kumar about Razz (a dog) is just outstanding!! Naresh Gowlikar’s English accent is full of fun and humor.
You might also like:

MINOR DRAWBACKS:
Weak Page Quality: Being a big 400 pages book I like it’s light weight, but I can’t appreciate the weak pages of the book.
Stretched story: I felt some chapters stretched. This book could have been narrated in maximum 350 pages.
There is a difference between the stuff Tom and Dick carry in the cover image and in a scene narrated before the climax.
Minor Typing Errors: ‘became, doesn’t and Dr Davendra Patel’ should be corrected as ‘become, don’t and Dr. Devendra Patel’ on page numbers 77, 82 and 273 respectively. A grammatically incorrect sentence of page 305 “Raj wore the Suhas’ white dress of Suhas” should be “Raj wore Suhas’ white dress” or “Raj wore the white dress of Suhas”.
I found few punctuation errors too.

REVIEWER’S OPINION:
“The Three Wise Monkeys is indeed a masterpiece of knowledge with tadka of non-stop sarcasm, twists, suspense, thrills, goosebumps and of course the incredible sense of humour for everyone to know an unknown side of the banking sector, corporate world, black money, money laundering, taxation and the whole economy.” - Rajesh D. Hajare (RDH)
I would give 4.6 to the story and 0.15 extra for the amazing sense of humour of the author so “The Three Wise Monkeys” by Jeet Gian gets 4.75 on the scale of 5 stars.

The trio—Amar, Akbar, and Anthony—had no clue whatsoever about their goddammit indecisive-careers-and-indefinite-struggles.
And that was because they were born with the Peter Pan Syndrome and were simple enough to be tricked by anyone, including their mystifying girlfriends—Meghna, Farah, and Sarah. And as is the fate of all morons, they were drawn into
trouble—deep trouble—of hiding crores of rupees of black money in secret offshore companies.
Will their mistake of turning a blind eye to the philosophy of ‘See no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil’ cost them their careers and put them in prison?

Review:
This book is the story of three protagonists aka monkeyes- Amar, Akbar and Antony. They are born losers and are CA students. They pass the CA exams after what seems like forever. They are like those three idiots who even after finally setting up their own company, they do not get work. They find themselves neck deep in trouble along with their routine struggle with life. That’s when love blossoms in each of their hearts. Meghna, Farah and Sarah become their lady loves respectively. Sarah works as a secretary for a shrewd and crooked banker Ashwin. In no time, the three monkeys are set up in a money laundering scheme of Ashwin. But then there is corruption and felony of all sorts.
Starting with the cover page! That’s a really interesting one. It speaks for the protagonist and the title justifies everything. The book is hilarious! And apart from the main story line and characters, everything else is mixed up, as if the complete story is in a stew. While the author attempted to bring in a complex side to the story, it somehow made the story so long and many incidents pointless. That’s because there were too many characters of which many were introduced late into the story. After a while, I was as if in a cloud of confusion not knowing who was what. After what seem like a world without an end, everything comes down to a happy ending. But again, 5 epilogues? Too much of anything is good for nothing.
All in all, its a good book where the author has explained different struggles we face in our society. As a non-commerce student, it was good to know the crux of accountancy. Humour is the biggest highlight of the book for many of the dialogues are simply out of this world!
Do I Recommend? A good humorous, one-time read!

Review:

This book features youth and the circumstances they face in the race of achieving their dreams. Author has successfully added sense to the story with a tinge of humour. The narration and way of describing characters is unique and reader friendly. Amar, Akbar and Anthony are the main leads of story; the story is woven well with three strands namely- humour, dreams and social evils (like corruption).
This book will make you laugh your guts out and at the same time will make you think in a different sense.
So with this we head towards the positives and negatives of the book:

Positive Punches:

• The narration and character description is catchy.
• This book binds the reader because of its out of the box punches and humour.
• Cover and title are apt for the story.

Negative Nudge:

• The story at times looks disoriented and at few places story line is faded.

Overall this book was a 'Haha' experience. A definite cheek-bone lifting read.

Ratings:

3/5.

First of all I wanna thank the author for providing me a copy of this book in exchange of an honest review.

This story is about three not-so-wise guys Amar, Akbar and Anthony. The Trio passes the CA exam in their 12th attempt (or 11th, as they skipped a year) and then gets into trouble for turning blind eye to the black money. The reason this book is called “three wise monkeys” is their philosophy of “See no evil, hear no evil and speak no evil.”

The book was hilarious and I liked the writing style of the author. At first I thought the book won’t be a good option to read as my taste for the books are totally different from this one but I gave it a try and it doesn’t go worthless. I totally loved this book.

We shall overcome, we shall overcome
We shall overcome someday;
Oh, deep into my heart, I do believe,
We shall overcome someday.
I really like those inspirational lines and gives a plus point for them.
The only thing I didn’t liked about this book was its too many Characters. There were many characters that were not really needed in the story. Sometimes I really got confused between characters.

Overall I really liked the book and I recommend every CA and CS student to read this book.
Again, thanks to the author for providing me with this totally awesome book.

Review –
The three wise monkeys was a really enjoyable book because of its simplicity and inspiration from Bollywood tales. There were different characters who were meant to entertain the readers only and their presence brought up the whole phase in the book very efficiently. With a great middle and a great chaos created, the author couldn’t match up the level in the end. But still, the book was a light read with equal amounts of everything like friendship, struggle, lust, love and the everlasting need for success and fame.

Three Wise Monkeys by Jeet Jain is light hearted novel, in which author and story both had intended to laugh out it’s readers. The cover of the book reflects three who sat on a lump of currency notes. Title is witty and would grab the attention and is apt on too.

The plot is something which is gripping where Amar, Akbar and Anotony struggle to pass C.A. first and later to get some pink notes into their pockets. The trio desperately searched from clients make them meet Ashwin Farah, a cunning banker with a never ending greed who indulge the trio in money laundering business without their knowledge.

Amar, Akbar and Anthony became the national as well as international focus out of the blue. Three wise monkeys is a story of three unwise monkeys and how they help the trio to settle the scores.
Book begin with brief introduction about the trio and their not-so-happening life and later the book dwells into dark and humor. The book is fast paced with humor unfolded at every page. High voltage climax. Author has tried to rib tickle it’s readers, somewhere he succeeds and somewhere he doesn’t.

Overall the book is one time read. Definitely the book is humorous and full of imagination but somewhere it would bore it’s readers.

I would rate 3/5 stars.

An engineer would portray his brother, whereas a CA named Jeet Gian would indeed dot upon his brotherhood, thus I hereby welcome you to the new arena of CA’s and their quest with lives.
The three protagonist with a Bollywood niche “amar akbar anthony” and strong Gandhi principles “na bura dekho, na bura suno, na bura kaho” venture out to establish a firm and earn crores, which nowadays is more easier than yesterdays, since access to Swiss banks is more easy “PUN INTENDED”, but are they successful, well to find this you need to grab the copy A.S.A.P.

The novel is spell bound and a gripper, wittiness and timing of punches is supreme, the fact that Jeet has an innateness for waggishness, does the trick thereby creating an easy to comprehend novel.

I hereby give 4 out of 5 stars and wait to read more from his pen.

Success…the word itself is beautiful!! But success cannot exist without failure. Success is the follower of so many failures. Success needs struggle and patience and no one can understand better than the three hero of the novel 'The three wise monkey' written by Jeet Gian. This is the second novel written by him. The trio- Amar, Akbar and Anthony in the story are the greatest example of failure. They even don't know how it feels like to get succeed. But they care about the damn world… They only know the word struggle. After getting failed many times finally they get wonderful achievement. The author inspires the reader to never lose hope and never give up in any phase of life. Must read for those who are in search for success.

The cover and title of the book are apt with the story and the character of protagonists. The journey of three CAs and their struggles and frustration is described in a humorous way, there are some good sarcastic lines. It opens up in a sarcastic way about the social and political setup we live in. The story is fun to read though it is somewhat predictable at times. It reminds me of certain Bollywood movies. It lacks in description somewhat and it isn't something that makes you wonder or think much . It is a fun read when you don't want to read something intriguing. It is a lucid read and makes you laugh at times.
