Not the type of book for everyone with all the descriptive words for sounds. But this is an action book filled with fighting helicopters and lots and lots of guns. I enjoyed this read slow to start but I’m invested!
This book adds to the first with move characters and development of the originals while it is a Bit repetitive it’s still and enjoyable read.
Addition of new things and twists and turns is awesome !
As more of the story line unfolds I just can’t stop. Must keep going. I can’t wait to see how it ends.

Smoke and Sydney sneak into the giant secret federal holding facility for monsters arrested in black slate operations only to find out that it’s a big trap to catch them. Also, the villains at the heart of many of the books are on the loose again and everything is looking worse than ever. Smoke and Sydney with their very small support team take the fight to the enemy again but it’s starting to look like nothing can stop the Drake. This one had an especially strong ending.

Just when you thought things were getting back to normal you run into this brick wall. First she is taken and now it is Smoke's turn. I have a feeling that either way they are gonna be screw with a pregnant vengeful women gunning after them. Let's see if their vow to death do us part is going to stick with a new set of conditions added.

Keeps getting better and better.
Wow! Some heavy lifting in this episode. Good once against triumphs over evil. Where have all the good guys gone? Faith and a good upbringing can take the righteous a long way toward victory. I'm so glad this book has faith based heroes. Thank you Craig Halloran. You're turning into a real hero with these stories. Loved Darkslayer, too.

Another short [but good] book.
The last one felt like a transitional step between the events of book six, and this one. However after reading it I feel like books 7 & 8 could be combined into one. Plenty of action, more revelations, and an ending that leaves you eager for book 9.

Holy smoookeee
Woah amazing , action , fast paced and brilliant it's amazing! I couldn't think this duo could piss off the Drake or go into the mystery of it all in one book...But they did. Lodes of revelations , shocking moments , plot twists the lot! You won't be disappointed .

This series just keeps getting better and better. I love the pictures every once in a while to show the authors vision of what he wrote. Sid and Smoke are getting ready for the battle of their lives and I can't wait to see who comes out on top! Their nonchalant attitude about what they do is so funny sometimes! Great characters! Great action!

Smoke and Sid are amazing together. The banter and spark between these two are rock solid. These two need a full length novel. I could read all day about my favorite action couple. Come on #9

Best one so far after the first. Glad to see so!E of the shifter goons permanently dead. Smoke's goons open a can of whoopass on Kane.
