Series: Blind Reality #2 (Must read in order)

:: 5 Pretty Little Stars ::

Twisted Reality starts off right where the first book in the series: Blind Reality, leaves off. So if you haven’t read that one yet, make sure you do before reading this one. With that being said, I really loved this book. I LIKED Blind Reality but this one was even more enjoyable. Maybe it’s because we finally see the couple in their “normal” lives. Whatever the reason may be, my heart fell hard for this one and I truly loved it! So, what can you expect from this novel? Readers will be pulled right back into the dramatic lives of Joey and Josh as they navigate their relationship AFTER leaving the Blind Reality show. There will be a lot of drama, a lot of swoon worthy moments, and some major complications that threaten Joey and Josh’s relationship. So readers will be pulled along a dramatic rollercoaster ride with the characters. But readers will love how these two navigate these issues together and see that true love can some from the most unexpected places. Heidi McLaughlin has definitely written a unique love story here. And fans of reality television will certainly enjoy this series. So yea, I recommend it for sure! I wish this series wasn’t ending but I definitely look forward to reading more books by the authors based on this series.

OMG! So last book left us with such a book hangover and needing more. Now our reality show couple is out off camera and have to actually face reality, real life reality. And ofcourse Josh has us swooning the whole way through but drama is unfolding and Joey doesnt know if she is up for it. I really loved these characters and getting to know this couple. Heidi McLaughlin did amazing with this duo, I really would have loved to have seen more from Josh and Joey, you can't help but get attached and have them pulling on your heart strings. Twisted Reality had a bit more drama than the first book which I loved. Each page just had you wanting more and turning to find out what was to come, who was going to have the last say. I highly suggest picking up Blind Reality and Twisted Reality, once I started these books, there was no stopping. I can't remember when was the last time I read two books in a row so fast. Heidi McLaughlin has def put herself on one of my fave authors list and I can't wait to read more from her.

I’ve been waiting for this book for what seems like forever! After the way Blind Reality ended, I needed to know what happened with Josh and Joey!

When we left Joey and Josh, Josh had just proposed to Joey and we were awaiting her answer, and Twisted Reality picks up right there. These two have a lot of things to go through to get the HEA that the deserve, but watching everything play out was beautiful and amazing and perfect for these two characters that you can’t help but love.

Josh has a lot of making up to do, and Joey loves him, but is afraid Jules will always come in the way of the two of them, and her fears are justified. We see a lot more of this horrible character in this book, and I wish it was possible to get into my Kindle and psychically strangle her character, she’s just that awful and possibly certifiably insane! She puts Josh and Joey through the wringer in this book and a few times I just didn’t think how they would get away from her and her craziness. It wasn’t easy for them, and she caused a lot of problems but at the same time, it only made these two stronger than they ever were.

Watching Josh being so devoted and in love with Joey, after he was so against falling for her was beautiful. His love and devotion to Joey is out of this world. He would do anything for her and he proves it over and over again. He gets put into some horrid situations but he always puts Joey first. I loved the way he loves her! Watching Joey get stronger in this book and deal with her new found fame and marriage is pretty remarkable as well. She has some times in this book that I wish she would have believed in Josh a bit more, but I understand why she didn’t at times.

This book is full of drama, craziness, and a lot of hotness. Josh and Joey are perfect for one another, and I am so happy to see these two get the ending they deserve. Everything crazy thing they went through apart and together only made them stronger, and I loved how this book ended. I wasn’t ready to say goodbye to them, but the way their story ended was perfect! If you’re looking for a hot series with an amazing HEA I suggest picking up Blind Reality and Twisted Reality by Heidi McLaughlin today!

Twisted Reality picks up right where Blind Reality left off. Josh is on one knee and has proposed to Joey. He finally realized that he cannot live without her. Well, of course Joey says yes.

This book is the continuation of their story and how they navigate life in the real world. These two have alot to contend with. Josh is going back to work, Joey is a new celebrity and of course you cannot forget Jules. She is back and still trying to get her hooks into Josh.

I loved Twisted Reality, it was a great conclusion to my favorite Heidi book. Just like in Blind Reality the characters stayed true to themselves, and I felt like I was right there in the story.

Joey and Josh are back!!

I was so excited for the conclusion of Blind Reality. Joey and Josh are out of the house but that doesn't mean that the drama is done with. When their honeymoon gets destroyed by none other than Jules - Joey has a hard time believing that Josh is really ready for their happily ever after. But Josh has other plans and he has to prove to Joey that Jules and her drama doesn't mean the end for them.

This is book two is the Blind Reality Series and you definitely have to read book 1 to know what's going on with this book. This series is one of my favorites from Heidi and I think one of her best written work too. The character and drama takes you away, making time pass in no time at all. I didn't want the book to end because I absolutely love Josh "Freaking" Wilson and Joey together.

The second part of Josh and Joey’s story begins with a declaration of love and with Josh asking her to marry him again on national television, and Joey accepts.
Josh starts filming his new movie in Alabama and he asks her to go with him. He doesn’t want to leave Joey at any time, he prefers that she doesn’t work so that she can be always with him. And in Alabama they live happily, having sex all the time, until Jules, Josh ex, decides to go and screw it all up by dropping a 💣, and she makes it clear that she won’t stop until she gets Josh back. Joey begins to realize how treacherous people are and has serious doubts if their marriage will last.
And back in LA the thing doesn’t improve. It seems that everyone is waiting for Josh to leave her for Jules.
Funny, sexy story but I was expecting even more drama.

“ I never knew sex could be so empowering. You’re like the charge of electricity that I need to fucking live. I’ve never felt this way before.”

We stay like this for hours, wrapped in each other’s arms while sitting on the hard closet floor. Every part of my body aches, but none more so than my broken heart. Joey is the only one who can heal me, and deep down I know that’s not going to happen.

“But I need you here, with me. I need you to help me figure this shit out because I’m scared as fuck to lose you.”“Okay,” she says, nestling into my neck. “But, please promise me something?” “Anything.” “That she never comes before me.” “I promise you on my life that she will never come before you.”

“She left.” “What do you mean she left?” “I mean Joey decided to look at her wedding dress today and found it ripped to shreds, along with an assortment of fucking photos of you and Jules. And because that wasn’t enough torture, she decided to go snooping in your closet and found an article about you and Jules going to a doctor’s appointment so she fucking left you, Josh,” he says, standing.

Twisted Reality by Heidi McLaughlin

As you probably have figured out by now I am a huge fan of Heidi McLaughlin’s books, and the reason is simple… Consistency. Her stories are always intriguing and they keep my interest. Her characters are always swoon-worthy, sexy and I can easily identify with them (or when required I feel real hatred towards them). Her writing is smooth and enjoyable to read. What’s not to love? Twisted Reality is another winner from Heidi McLaughlin. A continuation of the big cliffy in Blinded Reality, where I was left crazed!!

Joshua Wilson is every girl’s fantasy and in Twisted Reality you get to really see what a good guy he really is. He’s honest, emotional and he just really wants to be a good man for Joey! I am seriously in love with this guy!!

Joey Wilson is who every girl wants to be. I mean can you imagine getting married to your celebrity crush? Gah! I would die! I really love Joey and the way she stays true to herself, she really is a nice girl who has fallen in love with the real Josh Wilson, not just the celebrity.

What’s twisted about them?... Enter Jules, or as I like to call her the DEVIL!!! She really is a sick and twisted puppy!! She just rolls in and causes trouble and wreaks havoc whenever and wherever she sees fit. I mean she is completely delusional! Add the paparazzi, Josh’s jerky agent Matt, and Bronx into the mix and more chaos erupts. At times, it seemed as though everything and everyone was against them. Through it all Joey and Josh fight to stay together and fight for each other. I believe their love really comes through when they are faced with the worst from Jules!
Some of my most favorite parts in this book involve Joey’s family. They are good people who have accepted this crazy, non-traditional union and have embraced Josh into their family. The relationship between Josh and Joey’s dad had me all kinds of emotional and weepy, as Josh never had any of the love and friendship that exists between father and son. I really admire how Josh recognizes what a good family is like and how he strives to make himself better, instead of just using his bad upbringing as an excuse for failure!

Twisted Reality was an emotional ride for me. Seeing Josh get pushed down and kicked over and over had me absolutely heartbroken. It seemed like there was no one he could trust and I really felt for him. Joey, too, kept getting hit over and over with the craziness of Josh’s world and I admired how she continuously dusted herself off and got up again! They are both so strong and genuine. Their love really grew and their bond was unbreakable! Heidi McLaughlin really comes through with an amazingly crazy and emotional conclusion to Josh and Joey’s love story!! 5 loving lip smacks for Twisted Reality by Heidi McLaughlin!!!

Twisted Reality, the sequel to Blind Reality picks up right where the first book left off which will thrill McLaughlin's fans. It is true perfection! She gives her readers everything they were hoping for and more---love, romance, lots of hot, sexy scenes, loads of drama and conflict and an ending that will make every female swoon. The drama is fierce in this book and there are some serious landmines that Josh and Joey need to navigate through. They come out of left field and will have readers on the edge of their seats waiting to see what happens next. My emotions were all over the place reading this story--I was happy, heartbroken, frustrated, swooning and then, ultimately left feeling content and satisfied. The emotional roller coaster is what truly makes this book a standout. McLaughlin knows exactly what her readers want and she gives it to them in spades with Twisted Reality.

McLaughlin is a masterful storyteller who goes deep with her characters and stories. She knows how to hook her readers from the start and makes it impossible to put her books down. I devoured Twisted Reality in one day and it was well worth the wait! It is not a standalone and Blind Reality MUST be read prior to this book. Both books are 5 star must reads for sure!!

Heidi McLaughlin rocked this book from the sexy cover to the amazing story.

Twisted Reality starts where we left off at the end of Blind Reality. This isn’t a stand alone and Blind Reality should be read before reading Twisted Reality.

Josh and Joey came together by accident but were fated to be together. From their first kiss blindfolded at the alter you could feel the connection. Life as a celebrity isn’t a easy feat; paparazzi waiting in the bushes for their next photo op, rumors easily spread by one misplaced photo and producers wanting the next big reality show. Relationships are hard enough without crazy exes and social media adding speculation and doubt. Joey understands life with Josh Wilson won’t be easy. She also knows without a doubt she is hopelessly in love with him. But can her head and heart withstand all the rumors and speculation?

Heidi weaved a perfectly intricate story of lies, romance and love. Her fans will not be disappointed as she gives them everything they want and so much more. It’s filled with lots of sexy scenes, conflict, angst and love, with an ending that will have you swooning and wanting Josh Freaking Wilson all for yourself.

You won’t want to miss the conclusion of Josh and Joey’s story and see their twisted reality.

Twisted Reality picks up right where Blind Reality left off, chronicling Josh and Joey after the cameras are turned off. However, the drama isn’t over just because the show is over. Reality may be trickier than these two were anticipating, especially with twist after twist that continually warp the plans they are trying to make.

As each bump in their road came up, I couldn’t help but start wishing (right alongside the characters) that things would go their way just once. Much of the new challenges they face are issues they never would have guessed would be problems and watching them navigate a new marriage with all these challenges kept me turning the page long after I should have put the book down for bed.

Blind Reality must be read first, as this is not a standalone. The couples from the show are all at least mentioned, and most return for at least cameos, though the women bonded so strongly during the show that they play a larger part than most of the other men. The dramas that each of the other couples aired on the show have continued to develop and readers get updates as to where all the other couples are afterwards, for better and worse.

This is not a standalone.
This should be read after Blind Reality, so you can get a glimpse of life after the cameras go off.

What's reality if it isn't a little twisted...
The only thing that could put more stress on a couple after a reality show, is reality itself. When people come out of the woodwork and obstacles stack against them, a couple can hit a breaking point.

Heidi never fails to tell a great story. The flow to her writing is beautiful. The beauty continues with this love story, one that I was glad to watch unfold when the cameras went back on.

"Twisted Reality" was exactly what I wanted after "Blind Reality." Joey and Josh’s story picks up with even more challenges, and I appreciated how their struggles felt authentic rather than just added drama. The narrative's structure kept me fully engaged, seamlessly balancing their personal moments with the pressures of their public lives.

Joey’s emotions and reactions were incredibly genuine, while Josh’s journey was equally compelling as he navigated everything that came with their new reality. Their relationship wasn't easy, but that complexity made it all the more believable. I particularly loved the spicy moments woven throughout the story; they added an exhilarating tension that heightened their connection and showcased the depth of their feelings for each other.

Watching them grow, both individually and together, was a joy, and I couldn’t turn the pages fast enough to see where their journey would lead next. The blend of emotional depth and extra spicy moments made for an unforgettable reading experience. This book and series is a great addition to your book collection.
Happy Reading...enjoy!

When we left Book No. 1, Josh was on his knees - proposing marriage to Joey on national television.
Book No. 2 explored the couple's dynamics in navigating real marriage life - sans the cameras following them.
There were many, many never ending issues and intrigues that I, myself, find it tiresome.
Jules - Josh's ex - kept popping up and stirring up sh*t. Ugh, she was annoying.
Then, there's Josh's money-digging-mom that came to demand her fair share of dough.
Towards the end, I was a bit fed up reading these continuous crying (by Josh and Joey)whenever a problem arrises. I must say, I enjoyed the first book better. However, I am definitely exploring other books by Ms. McLaughlin.

I really liked this 2 book series. I really liked Josb, a strong male but with enough insecurities to make him real. Joey kept running away from Josh. That became annoying, but I liked how her character was developed throughput the 2 books.

The ONLY reason I bothered with this one is because it was free on KU. I didn't like the first one, and I can't say this was much better. It was better, but not much.

I absolutely hate reality shows, so I'm glad this book did not put them in the middle of one while they were trying to work out the beginning of their life together.

But one thing I hate more than reality shows is crazy exes who will do anything short of murder to get their "loved" one back. Immature antics aside, I so hate naive people who don't believe the ex is that crazy. Wake up, dumbass! The bitch was a friggin loon.

This one definitely has a different feel than the first book. At least Joey and Josh communicated in this one. However, it did feel as though it may have been written as an afterthought, like the author had the idea for the first book, but since it didn't go as planned, she lost interest in the second. This is solidified by how this author is not one to be featured in Kindle Unlimited. Hmmm, makes me wonder.
