"Your problem is that your heart is too big, it leaves you vulnerable and makes you weak." He spoke in such certainty that it brought tears to my eyes, because it was the truth. I was vulnerable and delicate, I was weak and let my guard down too much. "You put your heart on your sleeve. You are oblivious to evil and peoples capabilities because you cannot imagine a person like that, you are blinded by your good nature." "What about yours?" I asked hesitantly, trying to keep the shake out of my voice. He looked at me with confusion for a second so I continued, "What about your heart?" I questioned. He looked at me with his dark eyes, his stare like stone. "I haven't got one." ******* Angela and Adriano are like fire and ice, they are complete opposites. But what happens when Angela gets thrown into Adriano's dangerous lifestyle? Can Adriano protect her from the evils he faces every day? Or does it become too much for the innocent Angela to cope with?
I've been reading this book and a few others on Wattpad for a few months now and I just finished Menacingly early this morning, IT WAS AMAZING! Everything went together perfectly, all the characters and the problems too. The ending was all tied together, no loose threads that I could find. Most books on Wattpad have grammar and spelling issues (I am not saying all but some) and that is perfectly fine because nothing is perfect but I am going to say that Menacingly had little to no issues and I highly recommend to those who love reading about the mafia!! :)
I could not quit reading! This was one of the best books I have read in a while. It was the perfect combination of mystery, romance, and adventure, leaving you constantly wanting more. Everyone needs an Adriano in their life!
This book was really good. There was some parts that didn't set well with me I guess but overall it was good. The plot twists were in there, they were not supper dramatic (not complaining) however, their were some and those were the perfect amount. This book I would give like a 4.5 starts however you can't really give half starts so it is under four. Anyways if you need a good Wattpad book to read, check this one out.
ANGELA AND ADRIANO HAVE MY WHOLE HEART. I loved this book and hope to revisit it some day and fall back in love with them. It was action packed and my heart is whole it was absolutely amazing. I TRY NOT TO BE as harsh with wattpadd books as I am with published books because I get that authors are learning and growing and usually write for fun and for their enjoyment compared to published authors with series and more complex and edited books. But I did want to discuss the fact that the book deals with abuse both mental and physical towards the main character. I did no appreciate the fact that Adriano even though he claims he would never hurt her he has anger issues. And is quite aggressive when mad to those around him. While she constantly claims she feels safe in his arms her reactions are the opposite of That to when he’s mad. Instead she cowers and submits to the fear she actually rarely stands up and speaks her mind and just settles for the bare minimum. I would have wished to see her grow more in that place but I felt she was also never really offered a well enough environment to feel like an equal and that she could voice herself more. While I have no doubt that leading into their future she will continue to grow and that Adriano likes her I don’t like the fact that the author made the love interest have a lot of the same problems her ex had mafia or no mafia and excuse them cause he was hot and a damaged character. That gives no excuse to the fact that when he was angry and the few times she did stand up for herself he would get even more infuriated instead of allowing her to voice herself he would also let her back down and have the bare minimum. He constantly makes choices for her instead of letting her grow and I didn’t appreciate how quickly she forgave him. But he did love her and the story was still quite enjoyable besides the flaws I saw in their relationship.
I absolutely loved this book. Before this, I didn't really liked romance, or books that had much of that, but I can tell you, that now, I am crazy about it (at least about books similar to this). It takes you through a roller coaster of emotions.
You hate what happens, but you love it so much. I think that on one side you disagree with what Angela's decisions are, but on the other, you can't help but understand where everything is coming from. The way it's written lets you really connect with the characters (how could you not to, when you know exactly what they are thinking and feeling). It also show you some hard truths about life and it made it that much more real for me. It's really easy to read; I wanted it to be a little longer, as I do with every book that I love.
The read was exciting at first, but then it got really boring really fast. I found myself just reading cliché plot point after cliché plot point. Also, why are we normalizing abuse as romance again?
This book looked promising at the start, and I went into it thinking that it would become one of my favorites. Unfortunately I found this book to be majorly disappointing. This book is one of the classic examples of, boy and girl fight and then make up and then fight & make up 50 more times. I didn't think the characters were meant for each other at all, and found myself getting rather frustrated while reading this. The story was okay, but at times was so disappointing. I felt like none of the characters really had depth to them, and any attempt at depth felt forced and uncomfortable. This book wasn't terrible, but definitely wasn't worth the read and half the time I just wanted it to be over.
