While ghosts from the past close in around her, whispering secrets of their own.
Will Taryn be able to transcend beyond her own vices and fulfill her rightful destiny? Or will she fall prey to the vices of the past as all those who had come before her?
This series is one of the most compelling and enthralling sagas I have ever read. Complicated, convoluted, with unexpected twists, and a bit of a surprise ending. Totally entrancing.
I am so happy that I lucked-up and found The Oath Saga by writing team Karin Reeve and Jolie Marvin who write under the pen name Karlie Mavre. This has been a long journey with four books all over four-hundred pages and I have loved every single word. Lightning's Fury is the fourth book in this saga, I don't want to give anything away, so I will keep my review short but I hope I convey my love for the series.
The series is unique, with an interesting story and has characters that I absolutely love. While reading this series I have laughed, love, hated, screamed, been stressed and had so many more reactions/emotions. I relished my time with each book and completely submerged myself in the story. The final book, Lightning's Fury, was no different. I was right there alongside Taryn as she protected people, brought justice to those around her, while she struggled with her own emotions, and fought for a happily ever after.
So much happened in this book. Lightning's Fury was full of shocking secrets, surprises, stressful and emotional moments. Things come full circle when events mentioned in previous books are mentioned, things are explained and the overall story is revealed. I will admit that the storyline towards the end was a bit confusing when I was trying to piece everything together myself but after everything is explained it all made so much sense.
If you like urban fantasy that has powers, shifters, immortals and action, romance and mystery then I highly suggest the Oath Saga. I am going to miss Taryn and everyone else, and I will be for sure on the lookout for this writing duo.
