For me, this was the best book yet in the Brambridge series! It's absolutely jam-packed with mystery and intrigue, with a delicious series of hints dropped along the way and a sense of anticipation of what’s to come. The book is a great combination of detective novel and romance, which successfully hits both nails on the head. Although Victoria has featured quite a lot in the previous books, this is the first one where we get to understand what really makes her tick and just how smart she is. Her on-off flirtation with Bill set me aflutter!

I also enjoyed the teaser chapter for Maddening Minx (with a great plot twist), and can’t wait to read it next.
