Third Calling: What are you doing the rest of your life?

Rate this book
What are you doing the rest of your life? Third Calling is a powerful book about finding purpose, passion and spiritual significance in a new season of life. Young adulthood offers opportunities to grow-up, pursue education, perhaps marry, start a family, and get established—the First Calling. Before long, it’s time to develop careers, establish reputations, raise children, and care for elder parents—the Second Calling. Then, something transformational happens; maybe the nest empties, turning a certain age is celebrated or a career ends. It is a new season—the Third Calling. It is a fresh period filled with possibilities and opportunities. And while God has had a plan all along, He has great things in store for the future. He uniquely designed each individual, packed lives with exceptional experiences and placed within every heart a passion for his world and his mission.

Find your Third Calling

Inspirational book for any Baby Boomer wanting to expand their road map of becoming 60 and beyond! Although Christian based the concepts speak to an entire generation wanting to age differently - wanting their 3rd act to be more than quietly drifting into the sunset.

Get off your butt and do something meaningful

Life does not end at age 65. Even if you retire from your job you are still just ending the 2/3 period of your life. So do you want to just loaf away the remaining 1/3 or do something meaningful. If so, maybe this book will inspire you!

Great book if you are floundering in the what's next?

I am on the leadership team of a new nonprofit whose aim is to support the families of addicts. I am the oldest member of the organization and most are not Christians. This book has given me some great tools to use as I figure out my role in this group. Even though they are mostly in their 30s and 40s there are ideas I can present that will help us set goals and purpose. Loved the honesty and wisdom.
