I loved the first book but I didn't enjoy this book as much because of the editing issues. Sometimes I struggled to work out what the author was trying to say. Also, there is very little recap (which I prefer) so you have to read them in order your understand the characters.
This book focuses on the budding romance between Chloe and Falcon, the pack beta. Although Chloe would go out of her way to annoy Falcon in the first book, she is now somewhat distant after learning he is her mate. We do learn her reasoning why she feels she has to put a distance between them but equally, Falcon refuses to allow her to ignore him. Instead he chooses to give her the space she needs to come to terms with the situation whilst guarding her from a distance.
Despite them knowing that they are destined to be together, Chloe and Falcon have not completed their bond because of Chloe's desires to protect Falcon from the threat facing the mates of the Potentials. Cyrus makes an appearance and we learn that he may not be the head honcho as he has led Chloe and Aribelle to believe so it's a case of anything can happen.
I hope the next book is longer and doesn't take too long but the editing issues really need to be addressed. Also, some warning as to whether it ends on a cliffhanger would be nice as well.
