About the author

Hakeem Collins is a new 21st Century vanguard prophetic and apostolic leader called to his generation and is known for his keen accurate prophetic gift. This book teaches you how to decree and declare everything into its rightful place. It uses scripture to guide you through each chapter and helps to strengthen your Christian faith.

While this was planned out as a daily devotional, I did not read it as such. It is an interesting devotional book and worth the time to read, as such. However, my concern is this: The writer of this book writes out "I declare and decree..." as the ending segment of each daily pray, or reading. I get a bit concerned with such a thing, as it ends up with the "name it and claim it" ideology. Everyone needs to be careful of such in their lives. And don't get the wrong idea, I am not asserting or accusing the writer of such; however, it seemed to have that flavor, in my opinion. Otherwise, I thought it was an excellent devotional book and worthy of the read, despite this caveat!

90 days of power

This is a devotional where weird if the Bible are delayed over you by yourself with words of encouragement are used to build you up with the truth of how GOD sees you, and HIS promises to us as individuals are found. I found this book very uplifting and freeing. There is a very long introduction which is advisable to read but not compulsive you well gain a lot from it in my point of view.

Fantastic 90 day devotional. Each day is filled with decrees and declarations that bring blessings into your life. It also shows you how God sees you and how He uses His Word to get you where you need to be. The book is filled with scriptures and what God says about you. I just finished this book and plan on starting it over again.

Empowering

This book is amazing. I read my daily prayer everyday and when I get to day 90, I start all over again. Each day, it seems as though God allows Dr. Hakeem to address what is pertinent in my life. Often I am amazed because it’s as though it was written exactly for me.

Collins has received prophetic messages from God to encourage believers. He has divided the material into 90 days of readings. Each daily reading includes a Scripture verse, a message related to that verse, additional Scripture references, a prayer, and statements to decree and declare.

The messages Collins includes are written as if God is speaking to the reader. It is an awesome responsibility to write as if God is speaking. I was pleased to see that the messages generally follow Scriptural truths about being loved, protected, being more than a conqueror, etc. Some are admonitions, such as the one where the reader is commanded to get wisdom and understanding and another to be grounded in the Word.

Some of Collins' messages I think might be a bit much. “Be confident that you can do whatever you make up your mind to do.” (91) I would prefer messages concentrating more on finding out what God wants me to do rather than what I make up my mind to do. I am a little leery about some of the decrees. For example: “I decree and declare that monies, bonuses, benefits, favor with men, and blessings will come to me now in Jesus' name.” (91) “I decree and declare that I am healed and I am a miracle worker.” (212) I know there are some Christians who believe that making statements creates reality. This book seems to be aimed at such believers.

I recommend this book to charismatic Christians who believe that declaring something makes it so.

Heaven Declares is a life-changing devotional by Dr. Hakeem Collins. In the introduction the author questions, "Are you aware of what God has for you?" "Are you walking in the promises of the Lord for your generation? Are your ears tuned to the frequency of Heaven? Are you living out what the King has decreed over you?" With a 90 day format, Collins shares what he believes God has given him to challenge, encourage, inspire, bless, and edify believers. On an every other day pattern, he presents scripture, a devotional and a prayer for the first day and on the next day he lays out specific declarations for the reader to say aloud. This is an inspirational book for everyday personal use and to give as gifts...a book to remind us who and whose we are and to make ourselves available to partner with God if we want to see changes in our lives.

"Heaven Declares / Prophetic Decrees to Start Your Day" by author Dr. Hakeem Collins is a profoundly encouraging daily devotional. This 90 day devotional paperback is 208 pages and published by Destiny Image. The front cover says this book "is like kindling to set the fire God wants to start in your heart everyday" which is reason enough to read it. I found that to be true, too.

Author Collins has written his devotion in the first person so it is like daily messages or chats with God our Father. It is a well written, heartfelt book. The book is well organized and clearly written. I could understand its meaning without difficulty. The author writes what he believes God has inspired him to help other believers. These are prophetic messages he has received from God to strengthen our relationship with Him. It is scripturally based and glorifies God. First each day has scripture, the lesson or devotion, scripture references for deeper study, a prayer, and closes with declarations and decrees to repeat out loud.

These devotions are very encouraging and inspiring. Certain days it feels like they were surely written just for me. God spoke to me through this book. Some of the declarations seemed different to me. The one on page 212 stating that "I am healed and a miracle worker" didn't seem like something my church ever taught, but I am sure others do. Others were just right for me. On page 165 it says "there shall be hope for my family and those I love", and page 144 "what God values, I value". I liked the devotions and most of the "Decree and Declare" statements. This is the first thing I have read by author Collins and I liked his style and dedication to our God.

I would definitely recommend this prophetic book. It can be read many times, not just once, for hearing God. Anyone wanting to start their day with a devotional would benefit from it. Anyone wanting daily encouragement or inspiration would accomplish it with this. This devotional would make a nice gift or be great for a group to discuss after they have read the entire thing. This is such a unique devotional; a great way to start your day by reading God’s encouraging words for your life. And as you read, you will begin to feel the Father’s Love and Grace poured into you while you discover the prophetic power that comes when communing with God.

Each of the 90 days starts with a scripture, followed by short 2 or 3 paragraph prophetic word for your life. These Words are followed by the scriptures for the day and a prayer. Most interesting are the Prophetic decrees and declarations to speak into your life each day. This was a quite uplifting and comforting book, that I thoroughly enjoyed.

This is a must have book for anyone wanting to go deeper in the Word. I love how the book is set up with a scripture to start your study. Next is a very encouraging word that seems just for me on the day I read it. The book is very easy to read and has scriptures at the bottom of each page to go deeper and become more in tuned with the Word. After I reflect on the bible scriptures , the author has provided a prayer for the day. What really encourages me and gets me excited is the prophetic decree for each day. When I say the decree aloud after my bible study , I feel refreshed, renewed and ready for what lays ahead for the day.

I love the way it is set up and it's something you can use over and over again. I loved when the author said, " God gives us our purpose and defined it through us, but our ultimate destination of fulfilling our purpose is determined by our decisions through our decrees." Once we say something it is out there; we can't take it back. I'm glad I had the chance to review this book . It is powerful and so enriching to read. This book is one I will be using in my daily life. It is a ninety day study , but can be used as a yearly devotional. Thank you for writing a book that reinforces God's word and helps me to become stronger and gain deeper faith.

This is a very unique devotional book. Each day contains a short message from God written in the first person. We are then given scriptures that support the message. A short prayer is given to start your conversation with God. Then there is a list of decrees and declarations that the author wants you to read out loud. These positive statements, when read aloud, seem more real and more important. When starting to read this book, do not skip the introduction. There is much to learn here. The author also explains how the book came to be. One of my favorite passages in the Introduction is: "We should never be so busy that we cannot find the time to regroup, reflect, and marinate in God's presence."

I am posting this review before I finish the book, because I want to read it day by day. There are 90 devotions here. I'm anxious to see how my life will change by following this study.

I have loved this wonderful way to begin my day. Actually, my hubby and I read it together at night. Each day there is a Bible verse to begin the session, then a short reflection on the reading. Then they follow up with a few Scriptures, a prayer and then our favorite part, the Decree and Declare section. These speak to things that we have been dealing with and help us to turn them over to God and to let them go. After all if you are declaring and decreeing them, they are meant to be followed.

Heaven Declares - wow. I am so glad that I picked this book up. I love that it’s a daily, short devotional to read and ponder on throughout the day. It also has Scripture and declarations to say each day that go along with the reading. This is an excelling book and I have already tagged many people whom I will be giving this to as a Christmas present this year. It’s a perfect, 90 day devotional to give encouragement, inspiration and hope.

This is an amazing way to start each day. So much truth is packed in this book. I actually got chills several times reading this.
I loved declaring God’s truths over my life each morning. This is a book I will hold on to and use over and over and I am sure I will gain something new each time.
If you are looking for a powerful way to start your day I can’t recommend this book enough. This is something quick, yet it will get you in the Word and speaking truth over yourself and your day.

A wonderful concept! Collins lays out a prophetic strategy of:
1) Identifying the Word of the Lord;
2) Speaking the King's decree;
3) Implementing.

Collins encourages us to declare the Word of the Lord, so that God's Word can go forth and accomplish His purposes.

Listening to Heaven Declares as an audio book was encouraging. Collins designed this book so the reader can listen/speak one decree per day. I listened to quite a few in one sitting and found it to be encouraging.

While I found the scriptural promises to be powerful and encouraging, Collins sprinkles in personal declarations of money and success which was a real turn off for me and the reason for the downgrade to three stars.
