Good Enough Read, But Still Emotionally Strung Out and Predictable

Good enough story within the romance genre. I was looking for a book that included a baking theme, so this one fit the bill. As far as the romance goes....it's one of those dragged out stories. Where the main character has cold feet for the entire storyline, then suddenly, they are totally and completely on board with the relationship....and that happens on the last page or so of the book. Giving readers that "happy ending" - even though the rest of the book saw a main character that was emotionally strung out.

To begin with: I liked the storyline but.... it was a little slow. Anna needs to be reassured all the time, halfway I’d liked to kick her butt, it really took too long before she finally acknowledged her relationship with/love for Beckett.
And it also is very slow the way Beckett tries to sweep Anna off her feet while both know they want each other. Never seen a guy more patient!
But like I said: I liked the story and the other characters as well. Very curious about the next one!

Beckett has always been in love with Anna, but she has always been with another guy so he never told her. When she breaks off her engagement because her fiancee cheats on her he finally sees his chance. With the help of her sister's will Beckett and Anna finally find happiness together and get their HEA? You need to read this book and find out. I voluntarily received an advance readers copy for an honest review.

This is a captivating story that had me from the first page until the last. All the characters are well developed and likeable. It has a fun plot with romance, humor, and a little drama. It is a fun and easy story that I really enjoyed reading. I highly recommend. This is the first book I've read from this author and I look forward to reading more of her books.

The plot is good, and the writing has a nice pace. What elevates this for me is the characters: Beckett and Anna as well as the supporting cast are well rounded and believable, with strengths and weaknesses that influence the road to HEA.

In truth I could not with Anna and so much insecurity and fear. Admire the patience of poor Beckett to support this girl. In general the story was entertaining but so much indecision of Anna exhausts.

‘The Perfect Mix,’ was an incredibly cute read. This love story take you back to high school, with its secret crushes, plans to bring two people together, a budding Romance. Truly a delightful read.
