The ideas within are based on the author's time chairing a "growth hacker" group in Berlin. Among the members of this group were some ex-Googlers, a consultant doing conversion optimisation for Amazon Audible, an AdWords guy for Goldman Sachs, a 24-year old Serbian man making $100,000 a month selling e-books on Tinder dating, a top-10 bestselling print author, and the heads of marketing for Delivery Hero and Research Gate. In went all their strategies and techniques and out came this book.
Readers should expect a concise, carefully researched, and highly applicable read that summarises the contemporary world of online marketing in 2016. The goal in writing this book was to maximise the rate of information transfer per word.
In terms of content, Entreprenerd focuses on the overarching and evergreen principles of online marketing. It does not waste readers' time by prattling on about the minutiae of configuring advertising platforms or setting up Google this sort of tedious trivia changes every six months and readers are better off googling for the official docs. A better use of one's time is to learn about the strategic issues such as "how can one create a self-perpetuating engine of content for driving SEO?", or "how can one prevent ad-blindness?", or "what kind of questions should Google's Analytics data be used to answer?".

"This book has so much actionable advice that I practically highlighted the whole thing." –Sascha Konietzke, CEO Contentful
There's a lot of fuzzy fluff pieces out there when it comes to SEO. I'm glad I stumbled on Entreprenerd. It's incredibly concise and is packed with good explanations and references. I've already started a ToDo list to incorporate everything that Jack covers in this book. I highly recommend this for anyone who wants to maximize the SEO value of their site.
This book will change the way you look at marketing and open your eyes. Well researched and insightful, it will give you the keys for self-promotion. The book focuses mainly on SEO (search engines), but also talks about email marketing and paid advertising. I recommend.
Catchy title. But is it all it? Thank God this book is more than a good title. It brings value to the reader. OF course for books like this one, determination and practice is a must for the reader that wants to enhance his/her life.
I received a copy of this eBook for review from Story Cartel. Overall, I liked this book a lot b/c it provides tons of helpful advice and facts about SEO optimization. Although I didn't like the cover design, I do like the creative title. The only reason I didn't give this book 5 stars is b/c it lacks a Table of Contents and an introduction chapter to explain to the reader what topics the book covers and how this book will benefit the reader. Without those 2 items, I felt lost at times. Anyway, I highly recommend this book for anyone who owns a website!
I was looking for a different "Entreprenerd" book and accidentally shelved this one. Marking as one star to express my emotions about the SEO tactic which deceived me :)
When I saw the book title I got worried that it required detailed programming knowledge to make sense. I decided to give it a shot regardless and now I can definitely say that no programming knowledge is needed to read it. Entreprenerd is written for the general reader and keeps a bristling pace throughout. A good read, with illustrative examples given for every point.
Kinsella knows what he's talking about: he boostrapped his business out of willpower, teaching himself everything he needed (including marketing) in the process. Tech people can do marketing in a more automated way than non-techies. This book will show you the ropes. It will also help you being systematic and measuring everything worth paying attention to.
With 7 years of online marketing under my belt, I didn't think I'd still be able to learn this much in a 45 minute read. A great book for beginners & experienced marketers - A classic in the making.
