Joanna Maciantowicz was raised in Communist Poland. Her search for light and liberty soon developed into resentfulness and rebellion. In a quest for rest she went on pilgrimages and studied oriental religions, but all to no avail. Her only solace was in her talent for painting--but it never brought total satisfaction. Joanna's life changed when she met some people who were reading the Bible. Joanna found new life and light and liberty--all in Christ. This is a telling tribute to the transforming power and guiding hand of an ever loving and totally omnipotent God.
This book was so good! My grandmother let me borrow it and it was such an inspiring story about a journey to Christianity. It has made me rethink it all and made me want to serve the Lord, as I feel like it would give me a new look on life and happiness (also because I’m listening to the song Praise and it’s such a good and uplifting song)!! And also the fact that I got to learn about my second cousin (Colin)’s wife and their relationship and how Christianity and a share in faith brought them together! Honestly, one of the most inspiring books I’ve ever read it’s really helped me and made me realise the amazing eternal love He shows me! The metaphors in this book, including the title are simply superb and eye opening! 🤩✝️ 5 stars all round ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
