Punk on 45: Revolutions on Vinyl 1976-79

Rate this book
The punk explosion of the mid-1970s unleashed an amazing wave of creativity, both musically and graphically. As punk’s DIY, cut-and-paste ingenuity gave rise to groundbreaking designers like Jamie Reid and Neville Brody, the picture sleeve became an essential aspect of any new single. Featuring a wealth of data and over 700 color photos of sleeves of the era — from heavyweights like the Clash and the Buzzcocks to influential unknowns like Subway Sect — Punk On 45 is not just an invaluable reference but a visual feast, capturing the artistic zeitgeist of this dynamic era.
