3.5 Stars not a flat 3 Stars Okay we are getting into it now!! A few stereotypical moments but in the end I am looking forward to the next section of this story. Penelope wants to be this independent character but I can see the character flaws that come with being in an interracial relationship.

Things seemed rushed. I cann see a lot of missed opportunities. Penny is in way over her head and Matt does not seem to talk a lot.

Narration is lacking conviction. I still believe that the accent would make things feel like more

So... she got mad at him for lying, when he hadnt, he just hadnt given his full name and money status in the hour they knew each other. Also he had a wallet full of cash, his being a billionaire should not have been a shock. Then just drama from her and then drama from his family being racists. Oh and then. at the end. he admitted he was in love with her. IT’S BEEN 2 DAYS TOGETHER AND THEYVE NOT EVEN SPENT A FULL 48 HOURS TOGETHER. lmao

4 1/2. Bom... a Penny continua exagerada. Qualquer coisa ela grita e dá ataques de frescura sem necessidade. Ela também perde o equilíbrio e 'quase' cai toda hora. Como é que ela sobrevivia antes do Matt estar lá para salvá-la? :-P Sério, ela chega a irritar com tanto que sente pena de si mesma. Eu entendo, você é uma mulher negra, gordinha, classe média baixa num mundo difícil, mas minha filha, um cara lindo e rico quer você, e você fica de nhemnhemnhem? Se eu fosse o Matt já tinha mandado ela ir pastar...
Mas é o Matt que faz o livro VALER A PENA. Mas que carinha encantador! E ama livros! Ah, que perfeição! Ele é bem centrado, pé no chão, mas ao mesmo tempo ainda é meio fora da realidade, por ter tido uma vida fácil. É divertido ver os dois tentando equilibrar suas experiências de vida.
Mas às vezes o cara merece virar santo. Aqui conhecemos sua família, que é tão irritante quanto a Penny. E mesmo que haja um bocadinho de 'insta-love' ali, foi uma continuação interessante.
A cena dos 'finalmentes' valeu a pena a espera, o negócio pegou FOGO!!! Uff! Agora quero o terceiro livro! AGORA!

I am liking this story. Penelope and Matthieu met in the library during a snow storm. They were stuck in the building together and wanted each other at the first site of each other. Penny is being followed by the paparazzi and Matt offers her to come stay with him. She acquiesce. As they start to get to acquainted, they make some awesome love. Like awesome love making going on here. Like Ooo Baby Baby type of stuff. These are short installments and I am look forward to getting the complete set. Great Reads.

Good, but needs more

I was given a copy of this book through ARC for an honest review.

The story was good, but it needs more depth. I like the characters of Penny and Matt, but if more detail was put into the book and not have the characters move so quickly to develop their relationship—have him woo her first, I think this would be a little more pragmatic. Actually, this is the first time I have read a book where the billionaire asks the girl to move in with him so quickly.

Enjoyable Read
It's a short and sweet story. One of things I appreciated about this book is that it dealt with subject of race. Most interracial romance books camouflage or avoid it completely. Matt and Penny are workable characters for this story.
