OMG, WOW!!! AWESOME contemporary law enforcement book. This another excellent book by Ms Lee. I dread when this series is all done because I'll have to wait until she writes more. Sky is a genius who decided to be her own person instead of a carbon copy of her mathematical genius father. She came to work for and with Jared Justice as an analyst for the police department. Jude has an immediate reaction to Sky when he meets her. He doesn't understand at first why he's so gruff and somewhat condescending towards her. Like most people that meet Skyler they make incorrect judgments about her. Jude is a chauvinistic male and it doesn't take long before he becomes very attracted to Skys brain, personality and hidden beauty. There is a violent murder(s) and their job is to catch and stop the individual. Ms Lee draws a verbal/mental picture for her readers and grabs you from the first to last page. I received a free copy of this book solely in exchange for an honest opinion. I very much look forward to reading future books by this author.

This is 101% more intriguing than the first book.

“You have a choice, Skylar. We can walk nicely together into the Shipwreck and order our lunch. Or I can pick you up and toss you over my shoulder. If you choose to go into the pub with your ass in the air, once inside I will sit you on my lap and feed you your lunch—bite by
bite.”

This part was so hot I just cannot even!!!!

“No darlin’, it’s about your pussy.”

Sky gasped in shock.

He pulled her closer and a soft smile quirked his lips. “You see, baby, you might just have the most gorgeous cunt I’ve ever feasted on. But, Sky, I’m a visual guy. I need to see what I’m eating. I need you bare, honey. Not so much as a landing strip of hair on your gorgeous pussy. I want to be able to watch those intimate lips off yours get puffy and swollen, go from soft pink to a luscious rose color. And yeah, I want to be able to see the musky dew glistening on them. Hell, baby, if I had a razor I’d shave you myself...

My stomach turned so fast when that piece of revelation was unraveled at the climax. Another issue and a very frustrating thing is how this heroine believe their lover will turn on them just from a very untrusted mouth. And the way they go? They run and not confront which would have made the issue cleared.

Brilliant, quirky and sexy

Omg, what a read. I’d read the first book ages ago but this one was so good. Jude is an arrogant alpha womanising man and squirt, his name for her, is sheer brilliance, both intelligently and humanly. I loved this book and need to go back and forward in the series. Highly recommend.

Jude Justice came home to head the homicide division of their town’s police force. Jake Justice, the younger brother is the Commander and has brought Skylar (Sky) Hughes with him from Washington D.C. Sky is an intelligence analyst and very intelligent. She can look at situations and analyze, remember everything, and not write a word down. Unfortunately her father has put her down her whole life and made her dress like a geek. She wears coke bottle glasses, baggy shirts, and baggy pants. She tries everything she can to play down her figure and beauty. Jude is a cynical SOB that thinks women are only good for sex. He has his women that he goes out with for fun. Unfortunately Jude first meets Sky at a gruesome murder scene in their small town. The next day when they are in the conference room discussing the murders, he does everything he can to embarrass Sky like calling her Specs and Squirt. Jude’s brother Jake, tells him to let up as he will see what an asset her brain is to the team.

Sky is good friends with Jake’s girlfriend Hailey and lives with her. This is the first time in her life that she has had friends and is free to do what she wants. Her obnoxious father has tried to control her all his life and make her a puppet. She has a tendency to be very shy and reserved. She does not have much confidence in herself. Sky and Jude are on the opposite ends of the spectrum. Sometimes that is what attracts people to each other. The two have to work together to solve multiple murders that are happening in the city. They both get to see another side of each other. You will need to read the book to see what happens.

I loved the book. Ms. Lee know how to put the right amount of mystery and angst into a book. You are on the edge of your seat at times wondering what is going to happen next. You are surprised by what happens. There were some sick people in this book. I love how the Justice brothers give each other a hard time, but love and support each other. Sky was a very interesting character and I loved her personality. She was a good match against the cocky Jude who was a hunk. I couldn’t stand Sky’s father and believe that someone could treat their daughter the way he did. I am loving this series and can’t wait for the next book to come out. I was given a copy of the book for an honest review.

WARNING!!! Shocking, disturbing prologue.

From the very first page you're hit with gruesome, depraved scenes of a double torture, sexual assault and murder!
One of the four Justice brothers, Jude, is lead detective on the case. Having suffered the loss of his own parents years earlier, who were friends to the dead couple, emotions are high and the tension tangible and strained.
Skylar Hughes is an odd, downtrodden, young woman, a loner, shy and a mathematical genius. She's fled from her headstrong, overpowering brainatic father, much to his disgust, to the ranks of a crime scene investigator and intelligence analyst, and followed to work along side, the youngest Justice brother, Jared, to his home city of Duluth in Northern Minnesota.
The bespectacled, pixie like, 'ugly' CSI, rubs Jude up the wrong way from the get go. Hidden behind thick, black plastic rimmed glasses and baggy clothes he deems her 'unfuckable' immediately. Quite frankly, the hot, sexy lead dick, is a male chauvinist pig, accounting women good for only one thing. He's arrogant, shallow, ignorant and totally vulgar and crass. Can't say I warmed up to his character throughout the entire book, even when he 'saw' the woman behind the disguise. In contrast, she was gullible, amenable and weak, and her outing beauty beneath the 'ugly', was all too predictable.
The plot and storyline, besides the sexual harassment, light bdsm and rampant sex scenes, was a twisted, sick, depraved assemble of sex, incest, drugs, lies, deceit and murder.
Readable enough, but very reminiscent of all Ms. Lee's earlier works. Male, mouthy,man-slut lead, strong, independent woman goes all 'yes sir!' Loads of crass sex and swearing and a bloody, sick background story.

Detective Jude Justice is the head of the homicide division and they have a particularly nasty multiple murder to solve. An extremely wealthy couple have been found tortured to death.
Intelligence analyst Skylar Hughes is doing her inspection of the crime scene. This is her first case working with the super sexy detective. Skylar is an incredibly intelligent woman who has spent years digging herself out from under the power of her famous genius father. This job on the other side of the country is just what she needed.
Our arrogant hero should have been charged with sexual harassment for the way he treated our heroine. The times I felt like battering him. Ooh he would drive a saint to violence. Our heroine is shy and self conscious, because of the way her father spoke to her all her life. Her brain power is what stops her from being completely down trodden. To solve this crime they will have to work together despite the sparks flying everywhere.
A very sexy and exciting book in a great series. I look forward to the next brother's story.

I have read several of Ms. Lee's works and have enjoyed them--particularly her blonde barracuda series. I think what I like the most is that she writes great heroines. They are strong and capable, but she also does a good job of showing their vulnerability. Skylar is definitely a quirky character--she is utterly brilliant, purposely wears unflattering clothes/glasses, and had an appealing naivety about her. She likes being herself and speaking her mind but is relatively shy. She had a different kind of strength than most of Ms. Lee's other heroines, which was a refreshing change.

I'll admit that I struggled with the character of Jude. He did grow on me by the end, but I wasn't a fan of him in the beginning. I felt that his treatment of Sky was unfair, and his anger really took away from the first two sex scenes for me.

The mystery and suspense element was really interesting and kept me engaged, but I just didn't LOVE the romance like I wanted to. Overall, I would say this is a 3.5-4 star read for me.

Phenomenal

Another awesome story by Taylor Lee!!! Loved the characters!!! Sky and Jude are so well written and such a great match. Jude had to grow on me a little bit but he definitely does. He is absolutely an alpha and chauvinistic, but at least he owns it. I just loved Sky, from the very beginning!!! There's plenty going on in this story to keep your attention the entire time and keep you glued to the pages. Once I started I didn't want to stop reading it, for anything. I had to know what was going to happen next with their murder investigation and how their relationship was going to work out. Everything is so well done with this story that you just get sucked in and that's it. I was not ready for the story to be over, I didn't want to leave the characters. I can't wait for the next Justice brother to find his match.

Ok, I admit it. I didn't think I would like this book at the beginning. You could tell Sky got under Jude's skin, but he was a major ass to her. Thankfully his brothers and the Judge did not hesitate to point it out to him.

I loved the fact that Skylar was so freaking intelligent. In lots of books, there is a really beautiful woman who happens to be intelligent. This book is different in that you have a supremely intelligent woman who happens to be beautiful.

Jude was a dominant, ALPHA male. Skylar seemed shy and easily intimidated, but that perception is oh, so wrong. Between the intense chemistry of Jude and Sky, the truly horrendous nature of the crime they are investigating, and the strange nature of their suspects, this is a book you won't want to put down.

I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
JUDE is the second book in the Justice Brothers series, and OMG is it good! I loved Book 1 and was expecting the same, but I actually enjoyed JUDE more!
Jude Justice is an intelligent, good looking, chauvanistic pig! Watching him get taken down by a equally smart, waif of a woman who resembles a nerd-like pixie is hilarious. Of course this seduction is taking place in the middle of a gruesome murder of a wealthy couple steeped in money, drugs, and sex. This is a fast-paced book that will keep you mesmerized throughout.
Once you start reading JUDE, you will not want to put it down.

So much better than the first book!

I loved this book despite Jude's overbearing chauvinistic attitude. Sky may have been shy, but she definitely didn't just follow every order Jude spouted. She did what she felt she needed to and dealt with the consequences. Her lack of retaliation to Jude's hurtful verbal barbs helps him realize just what a jerk he really is and just how precious Sky is. With killers on the loose and Sky's analytical mind their best weapon against them, Jude is ready to protect both her mind and the body she hides under frumpy clothes.

I enjoyed the story and am ready for book three!

Alpha, but really????

The only reason I gave it two stars is that I felt compelled to finish it. I had added my comments to another review on Amazon because I had gotten to a point in the book that I questioned the merits of finishing it.
Our hero, like his brother in the prequel, talked so degrading to the h, that I could not stand it. Then the way he mauled her in public and that was supposed to be the big seduction play, I was completely frustrated and the hero had very little appeal.
I have read other books by this author and don't remember them being like this, so maybe it is just this series, so I am done.

Once again Taylor Lee didn't disappointed me. Her books always grab my attention it has suspense and romance which I enjoy.

Jude works in the homicide division which is currently trying to solve this gruesome crime. That's where he meets our heroine Skylar who is an intelligence analyst and was brought in from Washington, DC by his brother Jared to work with them. Jude at the beginning was acting like a jerk but he grew on me. I like how their relationship developed while they solve the murder case.

If you like romantic suspense with hot scenes you will definitely like this book.

Loved the second in the series although Jude was too alpha at times. Skylar was a force to be reckoned with. When they came together it was explosive. Great underlying case to solve also. Looking forward to the rest in the series.

As I live and breath

Omg excellent read and yes I laughed, cried and swooned at this couple and their antics. Jude the ladies man taken down by a sprite of a woman with a brain I would love to have. This book the suspense and intriguing actions of the supporting characters were unbelievable. I don't usually like suspense with my romance but this book changed my mind. I must read the rest of the brothers tales and of course the judge. Taylor Lee thank u

Great Book

I just love hot, confident alpha men and Jude certainly is that and more. Mix that with a brainy, sassy, beautiful spitfire and you have the makings of a great book. I loved it and cannot wait to read the next book in this series.

Good read

Good characters and plot line, sometimes sex gets in way of solving the mystery and becomes a bit repetitive. Overall a good read for a rainy afternoon
