Star Crossed Shifters #3

Outer Space Omega

Rate this book
A star-crossed Omega holds the key to defeating the Conquest...

When Rozel crash-landed in the tiny town of Roston, he was looking for a respite from the horrors he faced at the hands of the Conquest. He didn't bargain on being thrust into the middle of an intergalactic war. He also didn't bargain on finding his fated mate on this backwater planet, either.

"Dane felt blessed, that this beautiful stranger was meant for him and him alone."

After joining the Green Leaf pack, Dane found himself yearning for the touch of his own Omega. But he didn't think it would be Rozel, the clever, adorable, alien from a planet he never even heard of. When Rozel gets pregnant and has to help fight off killer aliens, Dane finds he needs to be the Alpha his mate and baby need.

This novella has a HEA. No cheating, no cliffhangers. Each book in the Star Crossed Shifters series focuses on a different couple while expanding the overarching plot. It is recommended to read the books in order.

I don’t know what to say. Now the Alpha of the Green Leaf pack is once again named Daniel. Also in this book, the omega (Ellis) who mated with Fian is said to shift during a battle with the Conquest aliens. This is unusual since it was established in the second book that Ellis is a human and not a shifter. In fact, Rozel even comments on the fact that there are omegas from three species present. Overall this is a good idea for a series but the execution leaves something to be desired. I haven’t given up on this author. I look forward to reading more from him in the future.

proofread

The books are lovely. Exciting, romantic, page turners all of them. But. The pack leader’s name in the first book was Daniel, in book 2 it was David (except for once) and back to Daniel in book 3. There are lots of little sub-stories that just doesn’t get mentioned again, and a lot of other stuff like that. The basic story is awesome and I like how she writes, but who ever proofreads her work needs to step up.
But I STILL recommend to read it.

This was my least favorite of the three books in this series. Rozel and Dane didn't communicate well and I thought that they both seemed to react to circumstances oddly. For example, Rozel thought about how unpleasant it would be to have a typical Pliarian alpha who would see him as incapable of taking care of himself and would always try to protect their omega and how glad that he had Dane. But this thought came just after Dane explains that he feels that omega's are precious and should be protected rather than oppressed. For an alien who has had almost no social integration into human, or Earth-shifter society, I would think that Dane's comments would be a cause of concern.

I also didn't quite buy the whole High Command interactions in the story. If Rozel was correct that High Command made sure that all Pliarians were happy and that the community as a whole took care of one another, why was there so much discontent as to cause both a violent social revolution and a campaign of forced conversion/murder of those who disagree? And again, if the needs of the society are High Command's highest priority, why did they allow Pliaria XII to become so resource depleted in the first place?

new begings

When Rozel landed on earth he was trying to escape the Conquest he didn't expect to find others of his kind and he found two of them and hey welcomed him into the human pack they joined. But unfortunately the news he shares isn't good the Conquest in coming towards the galaxy and if the discover earth no one will be safe.Dane recently joined the green leaf pack and seeing the mated pairs with their children he longs for an omega of his own. He volunteers to help Rozel the new alien in the pack get accustom to human norms and also source the items needed to help fix the communication device. What neither of them expected was that they would be mates. But Rozel doesn't want an overbearing alpha like the ones on his home planet, when he realizes that Dane is nothing like the alphas he knows he is thrilled and despite the impending doom their relationship blooms into a little family of their own.

If you like sexy aliens that fall in love with a human, then you will love this book like I did. The pages are full of suspense, action and some window steaming romance. I was gifted this book for an honest review and I loved it
