I kind of liked this book because I liked the part when everyone became giant dragonflies. I did not like this book because I didn't really like the part when a golden retriever almost killed them.

This is another fun Magic School Bus chapter book. We have read a lot of Magic School Bus picture books and now we are working our way through the chapter books.

Ms. Frizzle and the kids go on a field trip to learn about insects and arachnids. It's a fun chapter book and a quick read. Our girls really enjoyed it, especially the section on the praying mantis (and of course, the ladybugs). Great for reinforcing science concepts by way of an interesting story.

The thing that I liked most about this book is that it had so much information about insects. For instance, dragonflies prefer to catch their prey in mid-air rather than on the ground. One thing that I remember is a dragonfly's prey is a mosquito.

There's a lot of insects being caught and eaten by other insects. Just a warning if you have a squeamish child.
