I really like the chapter book format for a Clifford story, and the inclusion of some informative info at the end.

While this Clifford adventure lacks the charm of the original books, it's still a friendly, fun little story. Clifford is sad when he can't join the children on a whale-watching trip. He's nearly the size of a whale himself! But when the whale-watching ship spots a whale tangled in a fishing net, Clifford may be the only one who can come to the rescue.

At the book's conclusion, we learn that this Clifford adventure was inspired by a true story, where a boat of whale watchers spotted, and spoke up for, a whale in distress.

Lol, might as "whale" :D be a fish tale with how big Clifford is. Some books Clifford is the size of an 18-wheeler. Others, the size of skyscraper. In this one, he's the size of a humpback whale!


Good news is, the humpback whale is no longer endangered. We did something right. (Except for two subspecies.)
