Chase's mom, well aware of her role as the first teacher her child would know, devised a plan to ensure his early development of his academic skills. By age one, he was already reading simple words. His grandparents and uncle reinforced the groundwork of his parents through stories and flash card games. As a result, his reading skills were well above average for a child his age.
