Spoilers. I don't know if I'm missing something here. I thought this book was a stand alone but reading it it seems like a series and that I've missed several books that contained vital informations. This book jumps around all over the place and the heroine Kim is not likable at all. Kim is at a club sees a hot guys who's a vampire and has sex with him, she says it's only sex nothing more leaves.
It's a month later and Kim is pregnant, sees Luke the daddy and tells him she wants nothing from him, he's ok(?) with that and oh by the way pregnancy is only 3 months. She has the baby and leaves and lets her sister in law who hates her watch the baby, she runs into Luke but walks away he doesn't want to see her( but she's the one who said that he was just a jerk enough to agree). She constantly has her sister in law watching the baby who not only hates her but told her mother while Kim was in college that she was a lesbian and did drugs, why is she watching the baby.
The baby is mentioned in passing you wouldn't think she had a baby and nothing is explained to us we are just told things, which is why I got so confused thinking this must be a series (?). There isn't any transition to this book she sees him has sex bam the end next paragraph she's pregnant and sees Luke bam then next paragraph she has the baby.
This book is very strange and Kim is not a good mother, and sorry why is Luke just ok being told I'm pregnant you won't be a part of this, it would have helped a lot had things been explained. Vampires are in the open that's the info we are given, Kim seems more interested in most things besides her newborn son who is always with her sister in law who again hates her. Kim is asleep for 12 hours once with a newborn who can at this point feed himself me is almost potty trained, she sees her son is gone and isn't worried at all. It must be the sister in law who has a key and came and got him.......what. it was just weird and didn't feel like a story.
it actually can be a good book. the idea is already good, the motive is clear too and yeah quite intriguing. it just the author missed a lot. the plot, the climax, the storyline, the scenes is suddenly jumping everywhere. all in all it could be a good book, sadly the author really need to improve
The H&H in this book were stupid. After a quick 1 night stand Kim becomes pregnant with Luke's baby. Kim only has to be pregnant for 3 months then delivers her hybrid Vamp/human child. And... that's how quick that story progressed from sex, cya to the next chapter Oh hello I delivered cuz I'm on my way home with the baby. Then all the sudden we get some long drawn out background of Kim's life. (filler)?? Then she and Luke are back together but she has some kinda bonding powers and then she tells Luke she loves him and that's the first time she ever said that. Uhm Hello what about your baby>!>!>! Who by the way just seems to be a reference thrown in every now and then. FYI... Kim sucks as a Mom!!! She's always running off and leaving her baby. Who leaves their baby 3 days after birth to go out for a hamburger. Personally I think Dougie acted more masculine than that cry baby Luke. So yeah...... this book SUCKED!
This book was in my opinion, horrible. It bounced around way too much. From how much I read in the book she was hardly ever with her child. I thought I read a review somewhere saying the characters were funny. No they weren't. I would not recommend this book to anyone.
Ok.... I had a few issues with this book. The biggest being... *** spoiler alert*** this chick was NEVER with her kid!!! So... can you see where the problem might be? She was always going out and doing things. Just don't
First reading from this Author, this was a two story book. The first story was a better read because it had a complete ending the second storyline left a lot of unanswered questions.
this book has two stories in it. The first one never have a vampire's Baby is about a girl names Kim who meets a vampire named Luke at a club. Has a one night stand no strings attached. Well one month later she finds out she's expecting on the same day Luke runs into her. Luke's clan is getting killed and no one knows who it is. Can it be someone to close to home? Great read. Second story is called the vampires unwanted wife. Is about a hunter named Rita who doesn't want to be a hunter but when she runs into a vampire Asher whom she is falling for but doesn't want a repeat of her past. Great stories.

I ended up enjoying this book although I didn't really care for Luke at all at the beginning. He was fine at the very beginning, but when he started feeling the "bond"....
Well I can't say a lot without giving away the whole plot! Let's just say he's a waffler for the longest...but he does have reasons, kind of. But it's obvious he does love Kim and Evan. And I thought well worth the read.
The make characters are horrible. They have no emotional attachment to the women. I have never been a fan of the take it or leave it attitude. The one where the girl is his partner as long as she is right there in front of him, or otherwise ...
It started off great, for me it just fell flat😩 Characters were underdeveloped (which isn't necessarily a bad thing) but you were still able to connect with the characters some. For me it was starting about half way the story seemed rushed.
Both stories in this book set were interesting and fun to read. The two main characters, Asher and Rita, in the second book were developed quite well. First book had Kim and Luke becoming more and more involved with each other as their bond became stronger.
There are 2 stories by 2 different authors. The 1st story was ok but there wasn't any connection with the characters. The author wrote the story real bland and I couldn't feel connected to the H and h. It was very dry. It had a decent plot but it lacked the skill to draw you into the story. They basically hook up, she gets pregnant, then tells him to leave her alone she doesn't want him in her life. Oh but was it now she is interested? Also she never seemed connected to her baby. He was always at the daycare or someone was watching him. The parents just seemed self absorbed. It just wasn't worth the time to read.
The second story was written better. The author brought you into and you worried about the H and h. However it was a little crazy in the plot. The H was a total player. He slept with anyone. He would say I won't sleep with that person and then in the next paragraph he was having sex with them. He was stupid and easily tricked too. Not what a H should be at all. Then there was the story. He was duped. He then was being exhorted for money because he had been duped. So when the heroine's family is attacked the father suggest stealing from the "powerful council". Then they give the map to the bad "mafia" shifters. Then the H and h part ways? Seriously? I went through reading all that for them to not be together? What about stealing the map? Isn't the "power" council going to seek punishment from them? The mafia shifter bad guys gets away with no judgement? Whatever! Don't waste your time on these stories.
I felt like the story jumped around. I didn't understand the bond thing, didn't understand how he didn't know what was happening and we were all just ok with that. Just kept going. Luke seemed just as ditzy as Kim and for a vampire who's suppose to be how old? it just didn't seem like he had the suave older man wisdom and experience he should have. Vampire Fight Club in the middle of the woods - really. Overall, the sex scenes were ok...not enough emphasis on Evan. There were typos and places where we seemed to have missed at least a chapter in between what happened in the previous scene to what was happening now.
The hunter and the vampire and the one night stand
Good book could have been better had or not had so much detail that took me away from the moment. Both books were good, no grammatical errors. Which is a big plus. The first book has a woman who has a one night stand and gets pregnant by her vampire lover. She can't get him out of her mind but doesn't want a relationship only because she got pregnant. Strange bedfellows, as you find out why the keep running into each other. The second book has vampire hunter Rita falling for the hunted. Read them to find out what happens
Loved the first book immensely but the second story brings an abrupt end and unfinished relationship between the two main characters.
JADE WHITE has a wonderful book. Never Have A Vampire's Baby was extremely engaging and entertaining to read. ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT! Although the free second book had twists and turns throughout the story but the way it kinda ended just took away from the build-up of the relationship between her two main characters.
In this story.. the Vamps are 'out' - everyone knows about them.. at least what the Vamps want them to know. Story opens with a girl looking for a good time - and getting more than she bargained for! (Just like real life, lol). The angst and misunderstandings make for a good story. Interested to see where this will go!!!
I really enjoyed reading this. It kept my attention and those are the kinda books I like. Kim and Luke were destined to be together but they fought it. Finally after going through her pregnancy and raising the baby they ended up starting a real relationship only to have some twists and turns. I'm glad I read this book it was very good.
Jade White's "Never Have A Vampire's Baby" wasn't all that I thought it would be. I really enjoy reading about vampire romance but this one just didn't do anything for me. The only thing I liked about it was it made my day go a little faster, just having something to read and not be bored. I gave it only 1 out of 5 stars, which for me is pretty bad. Sorry Jade.
Lots of action. Funny and sad at the same time. Kim was a very strong character and Luke was like most men laid back afraid to take the chance especially once he became a father. This book had a different twist to it.
I had a hard time with this story. The mom has a half vampire baby that grows extremely fast but doesn't spend time with him. Had potential but just didn't get there.
