It started as a game. Two adults, both lonely; one an expert, the other learning on the quick. He thought he was giving her what she desired. She hated herself for loving it.
Lauren Perry thought her life was fine. She knew what she wanted and where she was going. That was until her husband left her.
Mackenzie Miller thought his life was fine. He knew what he wanted and he took, always. That was until he broke his own rules.
What would you do if someone gave you the opportunity to experience all of your fantasies?
Lauren Perry decided to find out.
Contemporary erotic romance for readers over the age of 18 Contains scenes of F/F, M/M/F & light BDSM
Tracie Podger currently lives in Kent, UK with her husband and a rather obnoxious cat called George. She’s a Padi Scuba Diving Instructor with a passion for writing. Tracie has been fortunate to have dived some of the wonderful oceans of the world where she can indulge in another hobby, underwater photography. She likes getting up close and personal with sharks.
Move over Christian, Mackenzie is here! He's hot, raunchy and extremely dirty.
Totally loved this book, couldn't put it down in fact. I actually feel like I've been on a journey with these characters and I'm very much looking forward to continuing the journey in this series.
Can be read as a standalone.
At time of posting this series is available on Kindle Unlimited.
Oh my dayz. Tracie Podger has done it again. I read this in the space of twenty four hours. When I wasn't reading it I was thinking about it.
This book has two awesome characters. Lauren Perry is an independent hard working woman who has been hurt by her slimy ex husband. When she meets the oh so hot Mackenzie Miller she doesn't realise he's gonna change her world completely. Her life has been mundane until now. Both have been hurt in the past. They aren't looking for a relationship but get more than they bargained for.
This story is oh so hot. It has a brilliant storyline with some moments where I held my breath. Absolutely loved it & I highly recommend it. Looking forward to reading more from this author.
This book is certainly not for the prudish - it's steamy, raunchy, deliciously dirty and oh so much better than the few books in this genre that I've read to date!
Look past the sex and there is a lovely story of self discovery, enlightenment, romance and a smattering of revenge on her truly vile ex ... This is also a really well written book with great pacing, well crafted characters and a fab storyline - what's not to love?
This is the perfect holiday read, at least reading this in Thailand I had an excuse for looking hot and bothered and the need for numerous cold showers!
More than deserves the 5 big fat star rating I've given it ... hoping for more from The Facilitator.
I'm so sorry to give so low rating to this book but i can't help. I loved the story and i hated Lauren..she is ONE BIG CRY BABY!!!!!! Grrrr she is crying all the damn time..if it's good,if it's bad,if she's alone or with Mackenzie... she is crying... Grow up already you stupid weeping girl or should i say woman!
I thought on what Mackenzie had said, I was finding myself... I just needed to decide if the person I was discovering was someone I liked. I certainly enjoyed the experience, although I was left confused... I'd read the sexy novels, thankful I had a Kindle, so others couldn't see what I was reading.
Experiencing it, in real life, was exciting and terrifying, shameful and uplifting, I wanted to stop; yet I wanted to continue.
My Review:
Similar to the main character of the story, The Facilitator took me outside of my comfort zone. And much like the main character, I was anxious, and tense, although I remained intrigued and totally engaged in this enthralling story. Tracie Podger always does an excellent job with the mental processing and interior narratives of her complex characters. The writing was insightful, smart, thoughtful, and involving. The plot was well constructed and cleverly devised. It was also highly erotic and sensual as the main character was exploring her sexuality after being humiliated by her husband's public betrayal in their shared workplace. Being sexually inexperienced and previously limited to her husband's less than imaginative and unfulfilling routines, she was curious to try new experiences with her new acquaintance - while at the same time she remained anxious when pushing past her boundaries. This is not a BDSM sub/dom story. Throughout her lessons she finds herself thrilled yet repulsed by her behaviors, which I found quite thought-provoking and compelling. Ms. Podger has mad skills.
Excellent, well-written, characterful filth - pretty much everything you could want from an "erotic romance". Weirdly, I thought the character development was interesting and well-done and I really wanted Lauren and Mackenzie to get together (lovey-dovey wise) at the end. The shagging was fun and rude. I loved some of the words and phrases slipped in (ooh-er) such as "full fat Coke" and "shit TV" but others, Americanisms, jarred (although maybe I was reading an Americanised version of the book?) - such as clutch, panties and some turns of phrase - getting a drink on, etc. What was great, especially as far as Lauren's character was concerned for me, were the unexpected, personal asides, such as a visit to the STD clinic and her reactions to each stage of the "game". The office politics was well done, too. Enjoyed this!
How refreshing it was to read an erotic novel which fitted the genre and was well-written. The tale features well-developed characters. The main plot and sub-plots all threaded together with a good narrative, excellent dialogue and superb imagery. In at least one scene the hero reached super-human status in performance and recovery, but I made an allowance for it in what was otherwise a great read. BDSM is an area which many authors either don’t understand or research well enough so it stands out early on when the subject comes up. Here, I felt the anticipation and the results were developed and described extremely well in each situation, as were the ‘regular’ sexual encounters. As a writer of the genre I am fastidious when it comes to creating believable characters and a credible story, so I’m delighted to find somebody else who makes the effort. I will go on to read more by this author, and no doubt try her other genre.
The Facilitator wasn’t what I was expecting. From the audiobook cover I thought it was going to be all spice but surprisingly the story was great too. I’ve wanted to read Tracie Podger for a while she’s an author going to RARE and one I follow on TikTok.
The facilitator is about a lady called Lauren who’s just split up with her husband. Now she finds herself looking for a little excitement. Mackenzie comes into her life when she is feeling spontaneous. She thinks it’s just one night but Mackenzie is about to become a permanent fixture.
His is a fun read with romance but also fulfilling fantasy spiciness.
Where to begin? Hmm!! Well, let me see, I don't just want to say. OH MY GOD! this book was epic, go read. I mean it really was phenomenal, but how to put into words how exciting this story was is tough or maybe you have already read and are thinking, I know what she means.
Facilitator it's not a word I've ever used and honestly, I thought what the hell does it have to do with a book title. It has everything to do with it. A facilitator helps understand he/she common objectives and assists to plan how to achieve these objectives. In my jargon it's basically someone who helps you achieve your dreams, fantasies, goals in life, whatever you want to call it. Let's just say Lauren is a very lucky girl and I'm a lucky reader to have picked up this book.
Lauren has an ex-husband or rather soon to be ex. The man is a rodent, no not a rat that looks like a mouse but the despicable kind, deceitful and disloyal. Personally I believe he's done her the biggest favour of her life. When you are in a bad relationship everyone can see it but you. Lauren has a great friend and boss, Jerry. He has always wanted more from Lauren but completely respects her and knows exactly what Scott aka the ex is like.
Lauren is a beautiful woman and has so much going for her, she's smart, funny and although she was married for years, she always held onto her independence. She's a hard worker and definitely deserves to have someone good in her life that will love her for who she is. Lauren ends up chatting to a man in her hotel bar and when I say man, I really mean adonis. McKenzie Miller could melt the panties off the woman at morning mass.
McKenzie doesn't know Lauren and obviously Lauren has no clue who the handsome stranger is. Perfect time for a one night stand, maybe? The thing with the word perfect, it doesn't really exist. Who cares she's technically single, right? Well, I know what happens, how it happens and who puts what where, HAHA!! Oh yeah the sex is off the charts.
Time to cue complications of epic portions when she arrives at a meeting the next day. You know that saying, 'I just want the ground to open up and swallow me down' that's pretty much how Lauren feels. She's a grown woman, never took risks, never slept around. So yeah, she's struggling. Thank God for Mr. Miller aka sexy adonis McKenzie. He's about to blow her world completely apart and his right along with it. Let the games begin or is it a game?
I was taken by surprise with a couple of scenes in this book. Awesome surprise by the way. I have read books by this Author before and truthfully I never read the blurb, LOL! I have always found her books to be amazing. So here I am reading away and then I get some F/F action. Now, I am not a great fan of F/F but this scene was done so sensually it blew my socks off. By the time I got to the M/M/F my knickers blew off to join the socks, HAHA!! These scenes were all written in beautiful taste and I hope it doesn't put any M/F romance lovers off because the story is completely about one woman and one man. I swear to you, do not dismiss this book, you will be left wanting more.
I recommend this book to everyone who loves romance. Thank you Tracie Podger for such a beautiful and exciting story. I can't wait for more.
Oh Boy this book is sizzling hot! I have read a Tracie Podger book before but that was a thriller, this book is very different to that. It’s erotica at its best, meaning what you get is a great storyline, engaging characters and some fantastic well written sex scenes. Lauren starts the story as a character on the timid side of life, successful career girl but married to her childhood sweetheart who turns out to be a bit of cheating slime-ball. The book starts with them on the verge of a divorce. Enter Mackenzie, good looking, successful, rich, oozing confidence from every pore he “facilitates” Lauren’s exploration of certain elements of her character, previously un-examined and her transformation into a more confident feisty go getter. This sounds like the plot of many books from this genre so what makes this different? Well it’s the writing. Tracie’s characters a more believable, likeable, and richer through their interactions with each other and other characters, they are simply more human. It’s also the plot, yes there’s wealth and a certain amount of luxury but it’s not ridiculous or out of this world and the story works towards a logical conclusion. It’s still erotica so if that’s not what you are looking for then this might not be for you. But if you don’t mind the sex scenes you will also get a great story of romance, enlightenment and a bit of revenge. What woman doesn’t want to see a cheating dirt-bag get what he’s due right? Brilliant book, easy, entertaining read, loved it.
I enjoy reading this authors work and The Facilitator is no exception, I loved everything about this book and really didn’t want to put it down.
Lauren is a great character that you can really identify with, successful in her career but her personal life has suffered as a consequence especially after the humiliation of her husbands betrayal. When Lauren meets a stranger in a bar that seems to call to her wild side she throws caution to the wind, only to regret her decision the next day. When her paths cross once again with the stranger Lauren has no chance of running and so begins the game between these two.
Mackenzie is HOT, seriously so and has a dirty mouth which I love. Though he seems to have it all he still has a tender side that he tries to hide and I loved that he was such a well-developed character. He sees something in Lauren that he wants to explore and pushes her to discover herself along the way. What results is a seriously hot, erotic, sometimes intense journey for Lauren that was a joy to read and somewhere along the way the game changes for them both.
I think this is definitely one for my favourites list and I really can’t wait for more from these characters as promised at the end of the book and love that we aren’t left on cliff-hanger in the meantime.
Lauren is a level headed career woman, but at the age of 30 is facing a divorce from her idiot of an ex, Scott. But on the up and up work wise, she has a one night stand (to relive what could be a fantasy?).
Excerpt: "I don't know your name." "Neither do you need to. Think of this as just one night with a stranger, one night to fulfil your fantasy."
As Lauren struggles to find herself after being stripped of her respect and worth, this handsome stranger becomes a fixture in her life...a game is played between the pair of matching one another with wit and sarcasm. This sexy stranger wants nothing More than to empower women, give them choices and respect them....and more than in the bedroom too!
Excerpt: I intend to do exactly what Mackenzie had suggested. I was going to shed the old Lauren and embrace the new.
A seriously hot and sexy as hell read that will leave you desperate for Mackenzie and his antics....he may be my new crush! His sensitive side versus his playful, erotic one was just bloody brilliant.
I absolutely loved this book. Fast paced, gripping and sexy, I couldn't put it down. In fact I was a little bit devastated when the book ended. I wanted more. And there will be more Mackenzie and Lauren. Yay!
I will definitely be reading more of Tracie's books.
Oh, and Mackenzie, I adore him. He isn't the usual entitled rich guy, he is strong and sweet and kind. Definitely my new book boyfriend.

What can I say about this book I loved it.
The Characters are great I loved Mackenzie he is so hot. He always Knew what he wanted and he took it then he breaks his own rules, once he meets Lauren Perry and the chemistry these characters have is great.
Lauren Knows what she wants and where she is going in life till she meets Mackenzie.
What happens when someone Offers you the opportunity to experience all your fantasies?
Lauren finds out and runs from Mackenzie not because she hates him, she hates how he makes her feel and hates herself for Liking the stuff he does with her.
I really hope Tracie does another book with these two I didn’t want this one to end really enjoying getting to know these Characters, and I would love more.
I love Tracie's writing. and this book had me hooked from the start. if you Love Tracie's work you are going love this one.
This book has some scenes of F/F, M/M/F & light BDSM.
This is the first book I have read of Tracie's and I must say it is everything I love in a book. You laugh and cry and wonder what is going to happen in the end. This book will keep you on your toes the whole time. Thanks for a wonderful book.
THIS WAS THE FIRST BOOK I HAVE READ FROM THIS AUTHOR AND WAS PLEASANTLY SURPRISED. I ENJOYED THE CONCEPT OF THE BOOK ABOUT PUSHING YOURSELF PAST YOUR BOUNDARIES EVEN IF SCARED. CANT WAIT TO READ MORE.
A great steamy read! Mackenzie and Lauren have hot chemistry and the story really draws you in. There is plenty of drama and Mackenzie and Lauren are amazing characters. I was hooked from beginning to end. I loved it!
I've read a number of Tracie's books before but they are what you might describe as hard knocks life books.
I knew The Facilitator was slightly different but I went into it kind of blind, and probably for the better for it.
At first we have what might seem like many other tales out there, a woman scorned by her cheating husband. When Lauren heads into a bar at the hotel she is checked into for a conference, her meeting with Mackenzie is instantly memorable and split second decisions are made which end with her in his room.
Can anyone say 'Hot Damn!' because the scenes between the two were smoking. I knew the author was a very skilled writer before but writing erotica takes a different skill set and she hit every single nail on the head. And that's not just about the actual act but the seduction and how every interaction between them, in and out of the bedroom weaves them further under each others skin. For me the verbal sparring was one of my favourite things about the book.
Utterly charming and heady, you find yourself falling the way the characters do down the rabbit hole and into where you never want it to end.
There are a few loose ends and I seriously hope Tracie finds room in her schedule to write the next book.
Raunchy little palette cleanser. I liked that both main characters were successful rather than the typical CEO and his secretary. Otherwise like every other billionaire teaches naive innocent divorcee.
I received a copy in exchange for an honest review.
Having already read Fallen Angel Part One but truly falling in love with Tracie Podger's writing after reading Gabriel, I couldn't wait to venture into her newest fictional reality and meet Mackenzie and Lauren and sample their dark and sensual world. Tracie paints a vivid picture of exploration of passion where there is no right or wrong just varied sensations and degrees of pleasure between two people who have been wronged by love in the past.
Lauren Perry has been spending the last six months putting a smile on her face in front of the whispers and scornful looks after her husband leaving. That is until her life becomes more interesting when she meets a stranger in a bar and starts to play a game of sexual discovery. Soon her world is full of sensual rendezvous where she experiences sexual pleasure like never before. It was enlightening and admirable experiencing Lauren's sensual awakening and her rise to independence and finding herself again outside of the confines of a stifling relationship.
Mackenzie Miller is a man who can dole out dark sensual pleasures, help a woman find herself, and discover her innermost fantasies. But from the moment he lays eyes on Lauren, all the rules go right out the window. He finds himself more than willing to play the game and go far beyond for this woman on her quest for self discovery. I grew to love this hero who shows Lauren the darker side of desires and the decadence of enjoying all facets of passion. He is beyond delicious with his filthy talk, sculpted body underneath those expensive suits, and talented tongue and hands. He is easy to give your heart to as the story progresses and hard to let go of once the last page is read.
Tracie Podger delivers a story of two people taking each other to the heights of ecstasy and losing their hearts along the way. She had me captivated with every clandestine meeting, swipe of the tongue, dirty word uttered, and burning touch of the flesh. I couldn't help but become engrossed, emotionally involved, and titillated by this hero and heroine that learn so much together about matters of both pleasure and the heart. Podger's writing draws me in and makes me crave every dark, tantalizing morsel that she offers her readers. I highly recommend The Facilitator for a romance that is filled with erotic fantasies come to life and empowerment.
I was given this book in turn for an honest review.
One night changed Lauren Perry's life forever. Mackenzie Miller was like a drug. Was he a drug worth risking her heart for?
Erotica romance that not only fulfils your fantasies it adds to them! This book will have you begging for release or in need of one hell of a cold shower. Tracie Podger has taken on the Erotica category and given us one very HOT and satisfying read. She has you captivated and intrigued from the very first chapter, right until the very last page. Without a doubt Tracie Podger has excelled in the erotica genre and within her own writing. Each new release brings us more and more of this author's outstanding talent.
I absolutely fell head over heels in love with Mackenzie Miller. There is nothing more satisfying than a firm, sexy, domineering business man who goes after what he wants and you know deep down has a heart of gold with a whole load of love to give to the right person.
Lauren Perry was amazing. Considering the recent betrayal she had received, she had risen above it and kept her head held high. She had a wicked sense of humour and was hard working; she was remarkable at her job.
Mackenzie opened Lauren up to experience life and to reveal her deepest, darkest desires and fulfil them. He showed her how amazing, sexy and strong she truly was. In turn Lauren opened Mackenzie's eyes to a world he thought he had long ago given up on and showed him how worthy of a happy life he was.
Together they were stronger than ever and were each other’s perfect match. They both deserved happiness, fun and love in their lives.
If you love erotica with a romance element, that has your heart racing, your panties wet and have you guessing until the very end; with a little added humour and an array of characters to love and hate, you will absolutely love The Facilitator by Tracie Podger.
Fell in love with the characters in this book. Was very different from what I expected. Lauren was a great character. She didn't know what she wanted when she ran into Mackenzie. She was going through a lonely and rough time. She wanted something more from life. Mackenzie had his own problems and was a bit hard to read most of the time.
Lauren had an encounter with him but didn't know how to handle it especially when she found out about the takeover of her company and who her boss was. Longtime boss and friend Jerry wanted more of a relationship with Lauren but it was not what Lauren was looking for. Her cheating husband Scott was trying to rip her off on their fivorce. She got together with Mackenzie and when challebged to reveal her fantasies to him, she decided to play a game.
I am not usually into F/F or much kinky stuff but Tracie Podger has told this story and captured me with the most beautifully written scenes featuring Lauren, Mackenzie and other people that no one could read it without a few gasps, tears and feelings of sheer pleasure. There is so much happening in this book - you will not put it down for long. You can't guess at the conclusion because it could go any way..
Not hesitant to recommend this book to lovets of scorching romance with sizzling scenes and a great cast of characters.
Thank you Tracie for an absolutely enjoyable and captivating journey throughout this book.
Steamy, fun, and intuitive read of 2 people finding their way. This story sucked me in and I read it in one sitting! It was that good! Nothing appeals more to me than a book with well developed characters and a story that I can relate to. A story where I can understand and relate with where the main character is coming from. This is the story of Lauren, a highly successful executive who after many years of marriage was dumped by her ahole of a husband in a public and humiliating manner. Unfortunately, they also work together so are forced to attend the same business conference. Trying to take the high road she stays at a different hotel to avoid his ex and her new squeeze. While enjoying drinks by herself, she meets a hot sexy nameless man, who promises to fulfill her fantasy of sex with a stranger. Except nameless man turns out to be her new boss Mckenzie. Yeah, I know, you know where this is going! Well- you be wrong! That one night with a stranger, awoke something that turned into much more! You'll have to read the rest to find out, but I can easily say that I'll be reading more from this author❣
Well I can honestly say I have NO words to this book lol. Talk about rollercoaster of a ride. I have been thrown into turmoil through emotional heartache and tears (laughter and pain).
Lauren Perry is a lovely woman with a soon to be ex husband (who I despise - the ex husband), Jerry who is her best friend and her boss (who I adore) and gorgeous sexy Mackenzie Miller (to die for ladies).
A book in my opinion that is a mix between 50 Shades of Grey series (the storyline) and The Fetish Box/The Fetish Queen/The Dining Club (the BDSM erotic side). It took me to places where I've been in books and further afield in emotional state.
I WOULD definitely recommend this book to any Erotic readers whether your curious or a lover of these kind of books. Can't wait to see what else Ms Podger has in store for Mr Mackenzie Miller and Miss Lauren Perry in the next book.
This is Ms Podger's first foray in this Genre. Is there anything this author can't do? Seriously hot hot hot. The storyline is entertaining with plenty of WTF moments, chuckle out loud moments (which is not good in the wee hours of the morning) and burning hot page turning moments. I couldn't put it down and I didn't until I'd finished the book at 3am this morning. Most definitely worth a read. Thank you Ms Podger for yet another fantastic read
Our main character is thirty year old Lauren. She’s confident, good at her job and absolutely invaluable to her boss. She’s a super strong career woman, but her personal life is a shambles. She’s only ever been with one man, her husband Scott, who apparently only did it missionary style, but after a 15 year relationship since high school, the dickhead cheats on her with his assistant then turns around and blames her for not being good enough. Grr.
Her personal confidence is absolutely crushed and life is made all the more difficult by the fact they work at the same company. A job she got him, naturally, since he’s absolutely bloody useless. She has to keep it together and be professional, even as rumours in the workplace abound, earning herself the nickname the Ice Queen as she shuts everyone out as a coping mechanism. This analogy is taken pretty far; even her wardrobe is entirely black and grey (except for a sexy red dress she wears in the start that mysteriously vanishes, but whatever).
At a company conference to announce a new merger, she slinks off alone, upset after Scott has the audacity to bring his affair-partner as his date. Enter hunkie tattooed 40 year old American Mackenzie, who offers her some fantasy fulfillment – a sizzling one night stand, no questions asked. She doesn’t even know his name, but who cares, the dude is irresistible. They tumble into bed, Mackenzie very much in control of the situation and rocking her world. This is all chapter one, by the way.
The Facilitator is comfortably predictable, so it’s no surprise when the very next day Mackenzie turns out to be the new majority owner of the company she works for, making him her new boss. He offers to play a game with her, one where he facilitates her every fantasy, teaching her and empowering her.
There’s a token bit of resistance because he’s her new boss and her work life is already complicated, but it doesn’t take long until Lauren realizes she wants to play this game after all. There’s natural chemistry between these two, with lots of quips, banter and sizzling conversation. Mackenzie is not only an absolute dreamboat, a powerful, confident, wealthy man, he’s most importantly for Lauren, a gentleman and knows how to treat a woman right, both emotionally and physically. He also has a tragic backstory, believes in empowering women both in the bedroom and the boardroom, has great platonic friendships with other women, etc. etc.
If I can fault him, it’s that he’s a little bit too perfect, from his sexy tattoos and smile, to his perfect manners, his female best friend, his massive wealth and his massive… other bits. He’s bordering on the generic. But that’s the fantasy we’re playing into here – that the perfect man does exist and Lauren gets to have him because she’s a strong woman who deserves to be truly happy.
The plot is heavy on emotional development between Lauren and Mackenzie, mostly through sex scenes with short interludes between that move the plot forward with side characters, including an amazing pensioner who swears like a sailor. Can Lauren accept that she really is a confident, sexy, passionate woman who deserves nice things and a billion orgasms? As she blossoms sexually, she also succeeds more in the workplace, coming out of her shell and buying a new wardrobe to thaw her Ice Queen image, being promoted (by the guy she’s sleeping with but totally on her work merit, of course), and even making new female friendships.
The tension is mostly from character flaws – Will Lauren really be able to open up and explore her fantasies without feeling dirty or ashamed? Will Mackenzie be able to put his trust issues aside and have a proper relationship? And how much hot sex will they have along the way?
Spoilers – lots.
4/5
This was an enjoyable, light and sexy romp that ultimately is about empowering women to know what they want and not be afraid or embarrassed to talk about their feelings and explore their fantasies in a safe, protective environment.

It has only been six months since the incident involving Lauren Perry’s cheating husband of fifteen years at their place of work, no less. And it is about to change again. This time, with the introduction of a partner into her best friend & owner Jerry’s company, initially via a partial buy-out. But it really would have been great if she could have just known beforehand that the man with whom she had a “gotta-be-a-bad-girl moment" at a hotel bar was THE very same man - Mackenzie Miller! All because she was trying to avoid her husband at a company event. So much for a “one-and-done” experience. He is now her boss.
After Lauren realizes what happened, the undeniable chemistry between them pulls them to continue where they left off with even more intense experiences following, but all at her suggestion, all tailored by Mackenzie to hit items on an erotic wishlist she never realized she had. With him experiencing by her side, her sexual appetite is freed to explore while her heart and mind are thrown into confusion and uncertainty, because she starts to become emotionally involved with this man who owns more than the company she is working for. Against her will, he already owns her heart.
He is a decade older, much more worldly, and seems to have an unlimited amount of secrets as well as a separate life when he is not with her. The more he reveals to her, the more conflicted she becomes, and she is still so lonely deep down. All she has to go on are the clues that he cannot give more of himself than what he has already shared with her. To protect herself, Lauren resolves to move on and not get further involved with him...because what will happen to her when “they” are over?
A smolderingly hot developing relationship between two people who find themselves in each other.
