Crazy Sexy Love

Sophie
I’m an intelligent and independent woman with a fantastic career. My personal life is perfect. No attachments or commitments. I know firsthand there is no such thing as “happily ever after” and I’m okay with that. I love everything about men—their broad shoulders, bulging biceps, and chiseled jawlines. I love when they come and especially when they go. I’m living my best life.

At least I thought I was until the day a six foot, green eyed buffoon who wouldn’t take no for an answer knocked on my door needing a place to stay. Doug Truman is an unwanted entity that I’m forced to endure. But as hard as I try to tolerate his antics, he still drives me crazy in more ways than one.

Doug
What woman wouldn’t want me? Sophie Cipriano that’s who. I don’t get it. I’m hot, funny, and can charm the clothes off anyone. Tons of naked chicks have said so. I would gladly supply names and numbers if I could remember any of them. I’m not a jerk. I’m just forgetful. Except when it comes to Sophie. Sure her lips call me every horrible name in the book, but her eyes light up with fire whenever we’re near each other. Sophie’s utter loathing of me only makes her more desirable. All I need is one night to get her out of my system.

When we became roommates I knew she wouldn’t be able to resist me for long. But little did I know I wouldn’t be able to resist falling in love.

Sweet and sexy rom-com that had me ROFLMAO!

I have read the “roommates fall in love” trope quite a few times and I love it. This one, though wasn’t your standard roommates romance. Douglas MacArthur Truman and Sophie Giavanna Cipriano have known each other for over five years. Doug’s best friend Hart is married to Sophie’s best friend Bryson, so they both are now in the same group of friends that get together fairly often.

Sophie has always been annoyed by Doug and his childish antics, thinking him of him as a sort of dumb jock frat boy that never really grew up. She also acknowledges that Doug is very hot and though she often disparages his constant flirting and attention, she likes it a bit as well. Since most of the group is paired off Doug and Sophie often end up together and are constantly bantering. A few times have come close to hooking up but something has always stopped them.

When Doug’s condo is flooded from the floor above, he is forced to find a place to live temporarily and he comes to Sophie for help. She lets him stay and the rest of the book is the two of them getting to know each other better, as friends and later in the biblical sense.

The book is an awesome amalgamation of a hot steamy romance building between two friends that both have never been in any sort of relationship before and a surprisingly hilarious romantic comedy. I actually have sore stomach muscles from laughing so hard. I was surprised this book is not rated higher because I thought it was so great. Then I looked at the reviews and the few I had seen that rated the book 3 stars said that it was hilarious and one of the funniest they had read. I am not sure why the 3 stars then.

The steamy scenes are not as explicit as in some romance novels, but there are more than a few of them which I liked and I didn’t have to wait until 70% of the book was over to get to one, so that was another big plus in my book. Though to tell you the truth, this one was so charming and hilarious I would give it a 5 star review just for the laughs. Since laughing is so good for the soul, it certainly improved my mood. Also I just love funny guys, and Doug turns out to be much more than just funny. He is a stellar book boyfriend!

I voluntarily read & reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts & opinions are my own.

After reading and loving The Dance by the author, I have wanted to read more of her books since. I really enjoyed Crazy Sexy Love! This book made me laugh many times. The banter is great. I always wanted to know more about the characters and how their story would progress.

Sophie and Doug are amazing characters! Sophie is hardworking, feisty, caring, honest and reliable. She has been alone for a while and she loves her independence. She loves visiting her grandmother and she is very close to her. Sophie is someone you can count on, but also someone you can have fun with. I loved the friendships she has.

Doug has stolen my heart in this book and he’s my favorite person of this novel. He’s smart, funny, caring, sporty and honest. He can be such a sweetheart sometimes. Doug doesn’t have the nicest family, but he has some awesome friends. He’s there for them and he’s also always there for Sophie. He would do anything for her and he really wants a chance with her.

Crazy Sexy Love was definitely a slow burn romance. Sophie and Doug have known each other for several years, but nothing has happened between them. Doug has been attracted to her, but Sophie always pushed him away. I did always feel more attraction and want from Doug. I wouldn’t have minded to read more about Sophie’s feelings. I did love Sophie and Doug together in the end.

Oh!! I am so regretting this book. I can not believe Crazy Sexy Love is coming from author that brings me The Dance. And Lip Smacker.

This book is like when you get drunk and puking all night and next day, you regret everything. The comedy is very immature. It is not even funny. I cringe most of it.

OK, I keep my review short. Just want to move on tk next book.

This book is hilarious, and that's all I cared about. Yes, there's little to no depth in the story, who cares, when said story can make you laugh. Yes, the hero was a big flirt and a manwhore, but the heroine wasn't innocent either. They are both the 'love them and leave them' kind of people. The male mc would act stupidly, but then he would do something sweet or funny and I would forget it all. to sum it up, the male lead was a dumb, but in the funniest way possible!

at one point one of the side characters is flipping through tv channels and says:
"here's a basketball game from Yugoslavia"

is this 30-year-old game on tv right now??

I had to rewind and relisten multiple times...because surely I was hearing it wrong...

this is a book published in 2018...

Yugoslavia DOES NOT EXIST AS A COUNTRY OFFICIALLY SINCE 1992 we went through a war and everything!!!!

Doug & Sophie are a part of the same group of friends, in fact Sophie’s best friend Bryson and Doug’s best friend Hart are married to each other. Over the past few years there have been many occasions where their paths cross. Doug has been interested in Sophie ever since they first met but unfortunately he is way over the top in his expressions of infatuation. She just thinks he is one big douche canoe.

When Doug turns up on Sophie’s doorstep in need of a place to stay she almost laughs in his face but somehow he ends up as her new roomie. Being in close proximity to Doug is about to test her patience and boundaries in more ways than she could ever imagine.

Yes, Doug can be a right dick but he is also a very handsome one too. There have also been occasions, when alcohol is involved, that these two have been at 1st/2nd base together. There is definitely something simmering in the background, if only Doug could keep his mouth shut and not say something foolish that cancels out all the handsomeness.

The more time these two spend in others company, the more Sophie realises that there is more to Doug than his heavily loaded innuendos and fooling around. It is a side she never expected and kind of likes. He may just be growing on her…

If she was honest with herself she would realise that she is basing her decisions on what she thinks could happen and not just going with what might be. Sophie’s fear of feeling something for Doug is influenced by her past. Like cutting off you nose to spite your face. You can’t avoid the inevitable though, especially when it comes to crazy, sexy love.

We met Doug and Sophie in The Dance when their best friends Hart and Bryson got together. And for five years they have been in the same social circle driving each other crazy and exhibiting some serious sexual tension. They taunt, tease, and pretend like they don't like each other. But at the same time, they have their place in their group and it is by default with the other.

Sophie is smart, successful, sassy, stubborn, and sassy. She is independent, closed off, and thrives on control. She presents a hard facade and does not let many see her softer, more insecure and vulnerable core. She does not do relationships and has her reasons.

Doug is handsome, talkative, goofy, funny, and unpredictable. He has been attracted to Sophie since their first meeting and has been persistent in his pursuit. He usually can pick up just about any woman he wants, except Sophie. He is used to getting shot down by her, but hasn't give up hope of at least getting to explore their pent up passion. He is also charming, thoughtful, and loyal with those he cares about, but he has never been one for relationships or more than one-nighters.

When Doug is in need of a place to stay, he sort of ambushes his way into Sophie's place. And that begins a whole new era in their not-a-relationship. They spar, joke, flirt, fuss, and fret. Their dynamics seem to be ever changing from enemies to friends to friends-with-benefits to feelings that neither of them are sure how to handle. No matter how many rules Sophie wants to follow, Doug blurs things outside the lines.

Darn him for being sweet, caring, and understanding. And flashing that body and getting her all excited. And making her laugh and taking care of her. But Sophie's got some deep insecurities and fears that can't really be faced and dealt with unless she is willing to open up and share them. And Doug is certainly not perfect or skilled at relationships either, and often manages to say the wrong thing. But he has a big heart and loves the times when he can make her happy.

But is he tenacious enough to really crack her tough shell and will she actually allow him to be the protector of her heart? And if so, is he ready to take hold of it?

This is a rom-com that had me smiling and cracking up over some of the situations and things that came out of their mouths. These two are witty, fun, silly, passionate, adorable, and sometimes awkward. But it was also steamy, emotional, and swoony. I enjoyed getting more with Hart, Bryson, Ronnie, Julia, and Colin. They added comic relief and a strong support system. I loved her grandmother, Nonnina. I really liked Doug and Sophie together and the fact that it was a slow build and that neither really thought it would actually happen...nor did their friends. Even though their attraction was the worst kept secret in their group.

Alison G. Bailey creates characters that feel real. They are a bit flawed and make mistakes. They say what they think. They have anxiety and insecurities. They have issues they need to deal with. And she creates dynamic relationships with many facets to them. This is a love story and a friends story and even a self-love story.

I received this book for free from the author in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.

Alison Bailey is known for her heartbreaking romance reads and for creating some of the best book boyfriends out there. This time around she’s written a rom-com, and I absolutely loved it!!

With so many laugh-out-loud moments, swoony sexy times, she has another hit for you to fall in love with.

We met Doug and Sophie in The Dance, and I couldn’t wait for them to get their own story. I knew it would be explosive!

These two tolerate each other, kinda like a hate/lust thing going on. You can feel the sizzling heat between them whenever they’re near each other and know that once they finally give into their physical attraction, BAM—sparks will fly!!

When Doug needs a temporary place to live, he turns to Sophie and she just can’t turn him down.

What follows is a hot and hilarious journey into friendship and an attraction that leads to more—something they both fight tooth and nail.

There’s something special about Alison Bailey’s books. She knows how to pull you in and you fall hard for her characters. Crazy Sexy Love is a winner!

Alison G. Bailey’s done it again! And this time she's taken Contemporary Romance by storm and made it her b&*%^! Bailey knocked this book so far out of the park, she hit a grand slam with Sophie and Doug.

Crazy Sexy Love was all kinds of awesome sauce.

S & D rocked my socks with their witty banter, laugh out loud conversations, pursuit, awkward and amusing antics, sexual tension, and what the f&*% moments. This duo was exactly what I didn't know I needed.

So in case you didn’t hear me the first three times…

One Click!!!!

Crazy Sexy Love has an "enemies to lovers" theme. Sophie's not the biggest fan of Doug’s. Doug’s definitely a big fan of Sophie’s, well her body any ways. Which leads us on one hell of an entertaining merry go round. Doug’s determined to reach his end game; Sophie naked—one way or another. Sophie, on the other hand, isn’t having it. Her end game's aborting his at all costs, even if Doug's come close.

I truly don’t know who I'm more anxious for you to meet!

Sophie’s the type of chick you’ll be wanting to make your best friend. I absolutely adored this vivacious, badass woman. She’s a true blue smartass who holds nothing back. Nada. She suffers from a case of mouth works faster than brain syndrome. She’s not afraid to get down and dirty. And you’ll soon find out she can be as crass and crude as her male counterpart. Not to mention, she’s got confidence. Lots of it. I mention this because with this confidence comes a strong, independent character who knows her own worth. She isn’t a doormat. Nor does she allow Doug to treat her like one. Thank you, Ms. Bailey!

And then there's Doug, our resident man-child. The star of the show. Who admittedly will drive you a bit batty, at times. Hang in there with him, though. I promise he'll show you a man you weren’t even close to expecting. Look past the frat boy persona. I was definitely not immune to his cocky and quirky personality. He’s playful and flirty. He’s crude. He's smart. He's crude. He's loyal. He's crude. Notice a trend...*laughing* You’ll find him very unapologetic in this. He doesn’t take anything serious. He has a one track mind. Sex. Or so it will seem. Trust me, when I tell you that Doug has so much more to him than meets the eye. He's also caring, gentle, lovable and sweet.

I've totally got a new book boyfriend obsession, and I'm fangirling so hard right now but I can’t help it. Doug's become hands down my favorite hero of Ms. Bailey’s. Seriously, he's something else. I truly never saw him coming. I am a Hart girl. However, D stealthily moved in and intertwined himself with my heart.

Individually these two will have you engaged, but together they'll have you enamored and devouring the pages. They're two peas in a pod and all kinds of savage! Neither lacked ego and self worth. But both loved their people something fierce. Soph and Doug were perfectly imperfect. Their connection and chemistry cheeky and palpable. Their friendship slow growing with a crap ton of speed bumps. But beyond that, this couple was real. They were believable and they represented your everyday relationship. All of us will find that we can relate to them in some shape or form.

I hope you love them both as much as I have.

Another 5☆ read from Ms. Bailey!

“Can I finger you on the drive home?” Sophie’s face contorted as if I’d grown another head and I’m not talking about the one in my pants."

This quote is so much Sophie and Doug...
Doug makes jokes like an overgrown adolescent, and Sophie calls him on his crap.
But I think I'm getting a little ahead of myself here...
Crazy Sexy Love is Alison Bailey's first rom com and let me tell you, this was a slam dunk debut in this sub-genre! You know it's a winner when you're sappy crying and laughing at the same time. :)
Crazy Sexy Love starts off where The Dance leaves off with everyone gathered for Hart and Bryson's wedding. Doug and Sophie are the Maid of Honor and Best Man, respectively. So it's only natural for a wedding hook-up; right? Well wedding hook-up shenanigans ensue, and the book takes off running from there! Don't let the rom com genre throw you though, Crazy Sexy Love has so much heart and soul. We get to explore very different sides of Sophie and Doug, that we didn't get to see in The Dance. We find out that humor and snark, are their defense mechanisms to guard their hearts.
"I know how you really feel about me, Soph."
"That I loathe you completely?"
This snappy back and forth dialogue fuels the entire book! Doug and Sophie are two characters you are going to want to visit over and over again.

This book was HILARIOUS!! I've been reading really emotional books as of late, and it's so nice to sit back and just laugh your way through a book. I missed that so much!!

So in this book we have Doug and Sophie who are complete opposites, don't really like each other, but can't get their minds off the other. Doug is this free spirited, lovable, goofy man who is so smart and sweet, yet so clueless (in the best of ways) while Sophie is this strict, kind of uptight workaholic who does not believe in love whatsoever. When Doug suddenly needs a place to stay, they begin to discover there is so much more to each other than they thought was possible.. And when Doug quickly falling in love, can he convince Sophie to take a chance and be happier than they ever imagined? Or will she always keep him at a distance and break both of their hearts?

Doug was easily the best part of this book. He wasn't the shallow man-whore that Sophie painted him out to be, and he was oftentimes the more rational out of the two of them. He was so sweet, and once he realized how much he truly adored Sophie, he was all in with proving himself to her.

Sophie was the downfall for me. She acted like she was so much better than everyone, and especially Doug. She was so stubborn, and so over the top in her judgment that I couldn't stand her. Overall I was happy with their ending, but I just wish I connected with our heroine more than I did. There was so many genuinely hilarious moments that made this book definitely worth reading!

I love Doug and Sophie's story in Crazy Sexy Love because their relationship dynamics had me laughing through out the book! Navigating a not-so-romantic romance with tons of innuendo, flirting, fighting and tenderness made this book a beautiful summer read. Thank you Alison for such a brilliant and entertaining story!

“You make me so happy, Soph.”

Sophie and Doug share the same circle of friends and with the marriage of their best friends, they have more contact. The big but in this equation is that they do not stand each other. Of course the sexual attraction is great, obvious that they fantasize with each other, he is incredibly handsome and with a wonderful body and she is strong, speaks what she thinks without caring about the consequences. Too bad they are so different.
Doug is the soul of the parties, totally unconcerned with life, that loves to have fun. Handsome, charming, and god with ladies. The apex of masculinity. The perfect package of double meaning jokes, six pack and dumbness.
Sophie loves her friends, but her job is her number one priority, her promotion her focus. Responsible, independent and owner of her own life. Sophie has no relationships, commitment and love are not things she believes in. Although she goes out with her friends and enjoys herself, she can never fully relax, always has a certain tension around her.
The above paragraphs describe the protagonists very well. Or describe the way they want others to see them. Doug and Sophie are just like that, and at the same time they are not, there is much more hidden. Years have passed since they know each other, and the same tension, the same interest between them still remains. Doug usually loses interest in women after a while, but he can not get Sophie out of his head. Sophie would never look at a guy like Doug, but he draws her in an unnerving way. If the two could just sleep together and move on, surely this attraction would pass, would not it?
With a problem in his apartment and nowhere to go, Doug appears at Sophie's door asking for help, after all she is the only one with a spare room. Of course they can live together for a few weeks, after all with work and other things they will not even see each other that much, will they? Will Doug and Sophie get a chance to understand each other or will they prove that they are really incompatible?
Doug is completely hilarious and clueless. At the same time I laughed with him I wanted to hit him. But he also shows himself to be loving and a caring. His insight into detail, such as remembering Sophie and bringing her favorite foods was attentive. Sophie on the other hand, because of personal problems does not get involved, but even against her will, this new routine, having someone to share the house, the dinners, someone to talk to or watch tv, is important to her, even if she did not admit it, Doug filled a void she did not even know existed.
I loved that reversed stereotypes, with Doug being portrayed as shallow and easy, handsome and dumb, when he's the complete opposite. The scene of Sophie coming home and finding him reading wearing glasses and asking what he does for a living was priceless, her surprise to discover that he is intelligent was comical.
Sophie on some points irritated me completely. Her stubbornness and the fact that she thinks she's better that Doug made me hate her at certain times. Doug was the star of the book and surprisingly the rational part of the couple. The moment he realizes that he genuinely likes her, he does not play around and part to conquer her.
Overall, this is a romantic book, with two characters that are so much more than they look, who did not expect to enjoy spending so much time together, and who end up re-evaluating many things about themselves.

Doug and Sophie have been part of the same group of friends for years. Now that their respective best friends are married, they are spending a lot more time together, something Doug doesn’t mind at all but Sophie finds frustrating.

Doug is the kind of guy that doesn’t take anything seriously, and loves all kind of antics. Sophie knows herself and what she wants, and though she thinks a turn with Doug would be fun, it would be too messy since they wouldn’t be able to avoid each other afterwards.

When Doug shows up on Sophie’s door needing a place to stay, she should have turned him away, because now that he is in her space she finds herself contemplating giving in to his requests. Besides, if no one else knows, then they can go back to just begin friends when he goes back to his own place. Right?

Their banter is fantastic, and had me grinning through much of the book. They are each intelligent, confident personalities and their conversations showed the depth of their characters, but Doug was always ready with a quip (or innuendo) as the situation demanded. Their chemistry resonated not just in the wit they threw at each other but also in their reactions as their proximity changed and they found themselves together in close quarters.

This was a hilarious rom-com with great friendships, backstory, and outrageous scenarios that had me laughing out loud. I loved that we got more from each character than just their surface stories. The side characters were great to revisit, in the case of Hart and Bryson, but were also great additions, as in the case of Sophie’s grandmother.

~ 4 Laughing Out Loud Stars ~

Crazy Sexy Love was a fun and entertaining story.

Sophie and Doug’s relationship was interesting and had me laughing on many occasions. But I have to say that by the end of the book I really didn’t like Sophie that much anymore. She worked my last nerve. Which made her connection to Doug hard to believe. As for Doug...I absolutely LOVED him and he totally saved this book for me. That and seeing Hart and Bryson again.

What I truly loved about this book, was that it was so different than the other books I have read by this author. Alison G. Bailey usually gives us the emotional love story that will pull on your heartstrings (The Dance) but this one will have you laughing out loud!! This is one of the better Romantic Comedies I have read and it would’ve been a 5 star read for me had Sophie not drove me crazy by the end.

Crazy Sexy Love is a standalone novel told in Dual POV. It is a companion novel to The Dance (Bryson and Hart’s story) You don’t have to read The Dance first to enjoy this book, but I would recommend reading it at some time because it is such a good love story. I thought the flow and pace of this story was great!! I loved the banter between Sophie and Doug. Their conversations had me rolling on the floor. They also had amazing sexual tension and when things finally got rolling they melted my kindle ;)

This story is an enemies to friends to lovers story. It follows Sophie and Doug’s story. You first meet Sophie and Doug in The Dance. These two are thrown together because Sophie is Bryson’s BFF and Doug is Hart’s BFF. So they hang with the same group of people. To say that Doug isn’t Sophie’s favorite person is an understatement. But Doug sure wants to get to know Sophie better ;) What we get here is a funny and truly entertaining story of two people who are fitting feelings until the bitter end.

I loved seeing Hart and Bryson again and seeing what they have been up to. It’s fun connecting with previous couples.

I would recommend this book to all romantic comedy fans out there. I think you will truly enjoy this story. This is perfect if you are looking for something light heart hearted. This is great for a beach read!!!

Oh my. I loved the dialogue, the sharp tongues, the banter... Liked that the MCs didn’t get down and dirty right form the start (appreciated the building of anticipation 😬).

This book definitely a light read: not much background (which means not much character development), air-head type of characters who are ridiculously immature emotionally-speaking, it’s awfully predictable but heavy on humour! Lots of added fluffiness: the heroine being super sweet to her grandma, the hero having that amazing (though totally unbelievable) career in biotech and being a big softie by caring for the heroine’s grandma, etc.

Couple things I didn’t like. The first being the characters’ cluelessness in regards to their emotions (I’m so tired of characters not understanding why they feel this way and that 🤦🏻‍♀️).

Also, scenes like the one where Doug gets emotional speaking about his best friend had me rolling my eyes (I’m not into heroes crying...) and made me kind of uncomfortable, probably because he’s portrayed as a goofy man and that felt dissonant.

Another thing I didn’t like was the sudden mention of hang-ups (in regards to why the heroine wouldn’t be in a serious relationship). Felt like some half-assed excuse. Oh and the ending is super rushed!

But still, despite all that, overall I enjoyed it because it was funny! Without the humour this would have been such a boring read!

Sophie and Doug have known each other for five years, ever since their respective best friends Bryson and Hart got together. Thrown together in their circle of friends, they have been doing a strange dance of love-hate. Sophie thinks Doug is immature and a buffoon and Doug just wants in Sophie's pants. There has been a close call once but Sophie's puking all over Doug ended that real soon.

But one day Doug rings Sophie's doorbell after his apartment has been flooded and he needs a place to stay. And they start seeing each other in a different light, even when verbal insults are thrown about.

I totally loved this romcom. There were lots of funny moments and even when I wanted to smack Doug sometimes I admired his tenacity and I liked when Sophie also noticed his softer side.

These two are total opposites but so right for each other!

Doug and Sophie have the same circle of friends and have known each other for years. She's also disliked him for years, finding his life of the party, charming personality to be annoying. She also (secretly) is as attracted to him as he obviously is to her. But nothing ever happens between them until he shows up on her doorstep asking to room with her while his place is being fixed.

Somehow the two sorta enemies become friends, then friends with benefits. But both have baggage for days, especially Sophie, so the benefits will have to remain friendly only, never to become more than casual. Or so they say until feelings become involved. A simple declaration of happiness and one of them is running for her life. Will they ever be on the same page? Will she allow herself to feel, to see she's not her mother?

This is a fun and witty story so why 3 instead of 4 stars? One word - Sophie. Her character bugged me with her rude, stuck up attitude. And even though I knew it came from a place of insecurity, that knowledge didn't endear me to her at all. I loved Doug, though. He's sweet and funny and has a really big heart. Quite frankly, I thought he deserved a lot better than Sophie.

I'm trying to write this review while looking through my highlights, each one gives me a giggle and then I'm drawn further into the LOL moments and now I'm full-on-laughing -my -butt-off and can't stop rereading!!
Crazy Sexy Love is a perfect romantic comedy, with a great combination of funny, swoony, sexy moments mixed with real daily life and quirky fun characters that you just want to hang out with every day!
This story of Sophie and Doug had me laughing so hard and so much, their banter is hilarious (I couldn't get enough of it) and all the while I could feel their attraction for one another boiling at the surface. These two continuously hate-flirted, the type of flirting where they seem to hate each other but at the same time are dying to tear the others clothes off LOL and they've been fighting that denied attraction for so long that it's bound to explode......
" I didn't know how I expected it to feel inside Sophie. But...holy crap. Tab A fit magnificently into slot B. And by the sounds Sophie was making, she definitely agreed with me. "
OMG....they are to freaking funny!! Although tab A and slot B (teeheehee) fit together so magnificently, when the crazy and sexy starts feeling a lot like love these two are a little clueless and a lot scared, but with the help of great friends and a wise granny that love will grow perfectly with the crazy and sexy....Crazy Sexy Love!!!!

Sophie and Doug have always been frenemies, they tolerate each other because of their friends. Doug likes to take a rise on her because Sophie seems uptight and frustrating but only to him. When Doug needed a place to stay, he immediately thought of Sophie, so in he move to stay at her house. The more they are around each other, the more they tolerate each other that Sophie propose a friends with benefits situation.

Doug never had any serious relationship. He didn’t even want to fall in love with anyone. However, the more time he spend with Sophie and seeing other sides of her, he feel some sort of yearnings for her, to do things he never wanted to do with anyone and developed feelings for her. He knows it’s going to be difficult if he wanted more with Sophie beyond their arrangement.

Sophie has a difficulty in letting people in and opening her heart after what her mother did. She’s scared she’ll turned out to be exactly like her mother, that she would do what her mother did if she let someone in.

This was mostly a funny and sweet romance between the two of them. I don’t think Doug can ever be serious for his life. You’ll definitely laugh with this one

This is a new author to me but that’s about to change because after reading Crazy Sexy Love I’m left wondering why she hasn’t crossed my radar before now. This is a perfect fun entertaining read to escape the pandemic the world is going through, it has plenty of witty banter as well as some laugh out loud moments and once you add in the great characters the friendships and the steamy moments you get a great read.
This is Doug Truman and Sophie Ciprian’s book and what an entertaining story have to tell, Doug has crushed on Sophie for a while but she only sees the arrogant facade he hides behind the face he has built around himself so when he ends up as her new roommate will he show her the real man.......
This book has the perfect mix of humour, angst and love but it’s the friendships and the witty banter that took this book to another level for me. I laughed out loud throughout this book and I highly recommend it to all rom-com lovers. Looking forward to reading more from this very talented author.

4.5 star Review Crazy Sexy Love by Alison G Bailey

Alison G. Bailey is a relatively new author to me and why that is the case, I have no idea. This was a well written and entertaining book that kept me interested from the first to the last chapter.

This is Doug Truman and Sophie Ciprian’s story. Doug has been infatuated with Sophie for some time, however thanks to his over the top actions, she believes he is a jerk. That is until he finds himself needing a place to stay and Sophie suddenly finds she has a new roommate.

The more she gets to know Doug, the more she realises that there is a lot more to him that the brash arrogant man she thought she knew.

Of course it wouldn’t be a romance story without some angst and drama. However there is also a great deal of humour and the banter was witty and I found myself laughing out loud on numerous occasions. The friendships are real, the relationship steamy and all in all this was a good example of romantic comedy.

Received from the author for a honest review. Ever have to be stuck with your best friends husband’s best friend? For some reason Sophie is now - forever stuck with the ever dirty, obnoxious Doug at every gathering. And for some reason, the idea of him bring someone else to these events seem to bother her even more..... Doug ( the best friend) lives to filrt with the ever beautiful independent Sophie. He never seems to give up the chance to make a pass.
When one day Sophie decides to help Doug. They become roommates and everything changes - from enemies to friends to more?
A Fun romantic comedy.

Crazy Sexy Love was a fabulously funny story filled with sexual tension, angst and drama ...win win for me.
Sophie and Doug have always rubbed one another the wrong way but when Doug needs a place to stay and Sophie needs a roommate this may be fate intervening. You can say it is rocky in the beginning but you should never judge a book by it's cover and Sophie is about to be schooled on the real Doug. This roommate arrangement is about to change both of their minds about each other!!!

Crazy Sexy Love by Alison G. Bailey is a standalone romantic comedy that I listened to on audio narrated by Kelli Tager and Quentin Hudspeth.

This is the first book of Alison's that I have read and it definitely won't be my last. I really enjoyed the relationship that bloomed between Sophie and Doug. I liked that we got both of their points of view throughout the book. It really brought the story to life.

Kelli and Quentin did a great job on the narration. I look forward to listening to more of their work in the future.

I would recommend this book if you like romantic comedies, contemporary romance, or enemies-to-lovers.

Great book! Great story! So awesome to hear more from Hart and Bryson a bit too!! But this story was about their friends Doug and Sophie! Doug had me laughing out loud! HARD!! Brilliant...and so stupid fun! My only wish is they had more time together, in love, but it is a great read. Sophia is a loveable, strong, character and I hope we haven’t heard the last of this gang! So awesome to read this author again!!
